We booked this hotel last minute during a holiday, and since it was Obon Festival, paying double the usual price was acceptable. Its proximity to the station made it very convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was small, but the bathroom facilities were well-equipped, and it was kept spotlessly clean every day – these aspects were all satisfactory.
My main complaint, however, was about a particular front desk staff member during check-in. The individual, who had a ponytail and wore a mask, displayed a complete lack of professionalism and was incredibly rude. They seemed to prejudge the situation and kept giving my friend, who was helping with check-in, various 'reminders' in Japanese. I only learned about this behavior afterwards, which is completely unacceptable. I will definitely look for other hotels for future stays.
I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand.
The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
Pros:
1. Room and toilet is clean. Bed and pillows are so comfortable. Room is quite big and can fully open 2 medium luggages. Amenities is also provided but require to take from the lobby which I feel is good. There are also Nespresso machine with capsule provided in the room.
2. Located 5 mins walk from Toyama Station. If require to rent car, Toyota Car Renting is located directly opposite of the hotel. Tram, shinkansen, JR train and Dentetsu train are convenient to take.
3. As is nearby the main station, has lots of restaurants/eateries, convenience mart and mall surrounding. However, do note that most of the shops close as early as 8pm nearby.
4. Soundproof was actually good to my surprise despite located along the road.
5. I had opted to walked to Kansui Park which is actually approx. 10 mins depending on your walking speed. The view and scenery overseeing the alps was so good.
6. It was raining during our stay, we were able to borrow umbrella and shoes dryer.
Cons:
1. Nearby shop closes too early. Not sure if is because of off peak season.
2. Hardly any cons I could think of.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. Great location, service, easily to get food and accessible to transport. Not sure if is off peak season but it was definitely lesser crowd and traffic during my stay at the end of November. It is definitely great time to visit this time if wanted a relaxing trip.
The room facilities were great, and the location was super convenient – you could see the hotel right from Toyama Station. After we got back from Amaharashi Coast, we dropped off our bags at the hotel and still had time to explore the city.
The absolute highlight, though, was breakfast. They had a fantastic spread with lots of sushi and sashimi, plus Japanese udon noodles.
Honestly, I don't know where to start. I'm completely touched by my experience at this hotel. First, the rooms are clean, big, surrounded by nature, greenery, and a beautiful lake that you can observe for a perfect morning scenery. Secondly, the facilities are top notch! Everything is clean! All facilities are provided to you with great quality; clean floors, perfect white clean towels, the hot spring water is clean, the pools are clean, the shampoo and body wash liquids smell amazing! (Like the baby colon your mother would give you as a child with the blue rounded top!) AMAZING! However, I had a very special interaction with one of the staff who deserves a medal for being so responsible and ensuring that her guest was in good hands.
Unfortunately, I got sick one morning while I was checking out. I was having an anxiety / panic attack that made me really disoriented. I didn't feel safe driving afterwards and I requested for the ambulance to be called. The kind and beautiful lady at the front desk handled all my paperwork, and ensured clear communication between doctors and nurses. After getting a physical check at the hospital for 2 hours, the results came back fine. There was no problem at all, however, the lady from the hotel staff was still there to see me out and ensure that I was safe and ok to drive. She was amazing! Thank you a million times for providing a fantastic place to stay, but also for taking great care of me!
( I don't have any pictures of the hotel because pictures aren't allowed to be taken within the hot springs, but trust me when I say, everything looks just as it is in the pictures. ) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The room I booked had a massage chair, which was great for relaxing after a long day. It was quite spacious for one person and had all the essentials. It's about a 5-minute walk from Toyama Station, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. There's also a 24-hour convenience store right across the street. I stayed for two nights and opted out of housekeeping, only requesting fresh towels, and the hotel even gave me a drink coupon. Overall, it was a great stay at a reasonable price, highly recommended. I especially loved the toiletries; my hair and skin felt so soft after using them, too bad I couldn't find them at any drugstores. Oh, and the shopping center across from the hotel has @cosme, Loft, Muji, and other stores worth checking out.
The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient for getting around. However, I did find two drawbacks. Firstly, the parking isn't located directly on-site; you have to drive a short distance to it, and the parking fee was quite expensive. Secondly, the twin room felt a bit small.
A very nice onsen hotel in Himi. We booked a large quiet room (no. 535) which was value for money indeed. All the rooms, onsens and the restaurant are having magificant sea and mountain view. As we visited in mid-November, we missed the snowy mountain on the postcards that will be presented to customers. Dinner was yummy. We were served by a very helpful Filipino lady who spoke fluent English which was seldom in this part of Japan.
This hotel is part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, and its reasonable accommodation prices are definitely reassuring. Its proximity to Unazuki Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the sightseeing train.
The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, all prepared using local ingredients. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, especially the yellowtail, which was absolutely delicious.
I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep. This place is highly recommended for families with children, offering a large ball pit, an inflatable slide area, and an arcade.
Very spacious Japanese style rooms with very good breakfast and dinner buffets (dinner highlight was shabu shabu). Also very good Onsen bath with small outdoor ‘rotenburo’. A little bit of a walk to the tram station but the hotel will arrange a car to ferry you. Overall a very positive impression for a first time Route Inn chain guest.

LliufeifeiThe price of Entojiso Hotel is really good value compared to several surrounding hotels. The Kurobe River is outside the window. The scenery is beautiful, the dinner is amazing, and the breakfast is also rich. Except that the hotel is old and the facilities are a bit old, everything else is very good. In addition, the wine shop only has two shuttle buses in the morning and afternoon every day. It goes to Kurobe JR Station at 10:30 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon.

TthewandercuratorStayed here a night in Toyama before embarking on the Alpine route. Familiar, comfortable room amenities as expected from the Comfort Hotel chain, with a good breakfast spread inclusive. 5 minutes walk from Toyama JR Station and 7 minutes walk with luggage from Toyama Dentetsu line to Kurobe Gorge and Tateyama. Note that you still need to bring your luggage to Dentetsu Station for luggage forwarding service, you cannot do it from the hotel. I asked for a high floor room that overlooked the station/mountains - I did get a high floor room but a side view of the building beside the hotel. Tip: buy supplies from the supermarket in the mall opposite before going up the mountains. There are also Toyama souvenirs, great eki bentos, firefly squid and white shrimp tempura tendon and black ramen in Toyama JR Station nearby.

TTianzeAwesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.
NNampetcharatAccidentally booked this hotel but found it very convenience, spacious room than what we expected and valuable money. However, i booked on semi double but front provided twin bed instead.
