The hotel was under renovations, so we were transferred to Vang Luang Hotel, which has the same owner. Vang Luang Hotel is conveniently located near several tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The room was clean and spacious. However, there was no telephone in the room, so we had to go to the lobby every time we had a request or needed to speak with the receptionist, and the breakfast options were quite limited. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay.

The standards in some parts of area are a little patchy on service and cleanliness, but overall this hotel did extremely well, and any small oversights were immediately corrected by the head female staff, who was truly excellent. During the rainy season, the low season, guests are relatively few and I could enjoy the swimming pool to myself, both morning and evening. The pool is pretty big, deep and perfect. It is rectangular, so one can do laps. I selected this hotel largely for the pool and I was really really happy with it. The pool has its own shower and towels etc. My superior room was very comfortable and large and the bedding was of professional quality, in pure white cotton. In short, I think 5/5 is deserved. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
The boss was very impressive.
He's very kind and very active in all the requirements.
Satisfied with a very reasonable price.
The facilities are rough and the significance may vary depending on the trend of each country, but if you don't ask the boss, you will leave without feeling the feelings of the hotel.
So if you talk about language, not distance,
I think it will be a good trip.
Excellent. I would love to recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, complete room facilities and aminties, buffet for breakfast, and friendly staff. The price is reasonable for its excellent services 👍👍👍👍👍
Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Breakfast includes a live station, a few warming trays, and three types of fruit. The pool area is pleasant and well-maintained. My only quibble is the Wi-Fi, which can be a bit weak. This place was really a steal for the price.
The courtyard was beautiful, and the water lilies blooming in the pond were a delight to behold. Sitting on the room's terrace in the evening, the sounds of fish blowing bubbles and the chorus of insects swept away the fatigue of travel. One night, I was lucky enough to experience a downpour, and the water lilies in the rain were outlined in gold by the lights. The hotel's design was distinctly French, and the facilities were new; I loved it!
The room was perfectly clean and very large.
The shower head needs to be replaced or repaired (the spray is really unpleasant).
And a small bedside table would be nice too (even just a small, custom-made wooden board).
A pleasant hotel and very kind, polite and helpful staff. There are some terraces and a swimming pool where you can relax and have great views over the Mekong river. We had a river facing room with a large balcony. The room itself was comfortable and relatively clean and the balcony had a chairs, a sofa, a table and clothes drying rack. The hotel is located a little out of town however, offers a free golf cart service to the night market area and other locations. This service is pretty much on call at anytime - I guess within some reasonable hours. There are a few shops close buy where you can purchase essential items and alcohol. The closest small supermarket is Chinese owned so if you speak Chinese it is easy to communicate; and there is a 7 Eleven store a little further on. A pharmacy is also close by and located between the Chinese supermarket and the 7 Eleven. We didn't use the swimming pool however, it appeared to be well maintained a clean. The breakfast we excellent and multiple choices to suit most nationalities. There is a covered outdoor terrace where you can eat breakfast with views over the Mekong. I personally felt the price was a little too high for the hotel.
I stayed in this hotel for the second time, the location is very convenient, next to the hotel there's a grocery where you can buy anything you may need and you can walk to the night market and many attractions of the city. the staff is very nice and helpful. breakfast is simple but good.

I can only say good thing about this hotel. Location is great. It is just a few feet away from the night market. Service from Sai is exceptional. The hotel feels like you are at the comfort of your home. The price is cheap and i got upgraded in the second floor.
My only problem is the internet as it is not stable sometimes. And I hope they serve bottled water as complimentary water and not a tap water.

Very Good
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day. The location is really good. The facilities are impressive and well-maintained, making everything convenient and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. Additionally, the laundry service was efficient and reliable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I will definitely be returning!
NNuytsiaFloribundaOur stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points.
Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating.
However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all.
Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do.
Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards.
Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space.
We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.
GGuest UserI really like this place. Despite it is a historic building built over 100 years ago, the renovation keeps the old charm Fresh Colonial style with a touch of modernism managed by Swiss administration. The room itself is new and spacious with super nice interior and decoration. The hotel is rather small though without other facility like swimming pool. That might be a reason that the price is really good. I recommend staying on the 2nd floor because it can avoid some noises from the street during early morning. I stayed on the ground floor and did not realize there is solid doors at the balcony that I could close to avoid noise and light from the street, so I had a bad first night. And the location is great. It is close to the main walking street and the river.
GGuest UserIt's okay for the price~ I liked the balcony.
The bathroom and toilet are separate.
It's not completely clean, and you have to take that into account because it's an old building. The location is a bit far from the night market, but you can walk there, and I rented a scooter, so it wasn't difficult to get around.
FFiBowyerWe had 4 nights here, the room was great and cleaned daily. The occasional drain whiff, but I believe that’s the norm in Laos. At times it was a little noisy our room was at the back and the laundry area behind us. The biggest issues trying get any information from the staff, none spoke English and Google translate is really poor for translating to Laos. It was a shame as I ended up booking trips and bus tickets from another hotel just down the road, as I couldn’t get the to understand what I wanted. One of the temples was right behind our room, you could hear the drum for prayers each morning.
GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. Everytime I asked them something, they were more than willing to help in anyway they could. The room was lovely and very reasonably priced. The only very minor downside was that breakfast was a little bit limited for someone with quite a lot of food allergies, but the staff could make adaptions to the menu to try and cater for these. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Luang Prabang.
YyyfzhshLuang Prabang is a small town. The hotel is not far from the night market and is close to various attractions. It is convenient for reading alms in the morning and eating and shopping at night for massage. The room layout is simple and hygienic. You must take off your shoes when entering the lobby. If you like quiet, don't choose a room facing the street. , Western-style breakfast is simple and nutritious, and very cost-effective.
GGuest UserSpacious rooms with comfortable beds. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Breakfast includes a live station, a few warming trays, and three types of fruit. EEpijBoth good and not so good….first the good: nice hotel, room was large and a great view of the river; pool is nice and the staff were generally friendly. The lady was superb as was one of the male front desk reception. The other male (worked the evenings more) never really paid attention to you as he had his head buried in his phone about 95% time…not necessarily unfriendly, but just didn’t really care. They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport, but there’s only one vehicle so it may conflict with the time you need it if someone else is using the service already.
The not so good: the location is quite far from the center where most of your time is spent. They do offer a drop off service, but it ends about 5pm-ish so if you’re out for the day and want to return to the Center for a meal then they’ll need to get a Tuk Tuk for you. We ended up renting a motorbike and always had to use TukTuks as we would come back and try to return later for dinner and drinks. Also the breakfast…there is only one option: noodle soup and they’ll give you some fruit. It was okay, but when I paid for breakfast I thought there would at least be another option. Lastly, you can hear everything in the whole place. If other guests are loud (which we had a few), you can hear them quite clearly in your room. Overall, I would not stay again mainly for the location being a bit far from the center. While disappointing, the breakfast wasn’t terrible, just limited.
Aayano810At first I was planning to stay for 4 nights, but I really liked it and extended it to a week! The room was clean and there was no resistance to putting things on the floor or walking barefoot. It is a very pleasant inn with cleaning up to corner 々.
What we liked the most was the staff at the inn. It is run by a Vietnamese girl. It is a cute person who is bright and can work. All the other staff were very kind and loved it.
Then, there are about 5 types of breakfast, and if you choose your favorite menu, it will be cooked immediately and served in a warm state. A different fruit is also a set every day! It was also a happy point to have a delicious breakfast every day. There is also a water server, which is helpful.
We also handle a wide range of buses, tuk-tuk reservations, motorcycle rentals, and tour reservations to airports and neighboring cities, and we were very grateful for your stay.
I feel like I have a home in Luang Prabang.
Also, we are talking with our husband and wife to go to Luang Prabang and stay! Thank you staff Zan!
