"Very good place when you have to be early at the airport or arrive very late. The bedrooms are new and very comfortable, high standard, soundproof. Shuttle (not free) to the airport (or you can go walking). On the pictures it seems there is a swimming pool but there's not. Only the cafeteria was open when we were there (but we weren't there for breakfast)."

"I had a fantastic stay at the Marino Beach Colombo Hotel, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo. One highlight for me was the great view from the hotel. It really adds to the overall vibe and makes it feel special, even when you’re just stepping out to take a moment. I’d highly recommend booking a room with a balcony. As a mature solo traveller, that private outdoor space made a big difference—especially in a city that can be hot and busy. Even when the day is energetic, the balcony offers that easy, tranquil respite you need to recharge. And the rooftop infinity pool? Absolutely wonderful—great views, a fantastic atmosphere, and a calm break from the city buzz. I also need to make special mention to Upendra. The entire reception/concierge service was brilliant, but Upendra’s attention to detail truly stood out. He supported me with my eSIM and helped with my transport needs, and I genuinely felt valued and cared for—like I was a beloved auntie. It’s exactly what I appreciate from young, enthusiastic staff. Finally, I have to mention the beach club. It was a great experience—and thanks to the life guard, I even got to enjoy a “tethered” swim in the sea. (And yes—at almost 6 feet tall, tethering this Viking shield Maiden really isn’t as fun as it sounds 😄😂) Thank you again, Upendra—and thank you to the Marino Beach Colombo Hotel team."

"After our flight to Colombo airport, we wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport so we could leave early to Sigiriya by private taxi. This hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and quite new. There is an elevator as well which is convenient. "I chose the newly opened Amari Hotel (Amari Colombo) for my first two nights in Colombo, drawn by its reputation for sea views. The sea view from the room and the rooftop infinity pool were huge plusses, and the service was good, but there were quite a few flaws. I stayed in a Deluxe Sea View King Room on the 16th floor. The room's large floor-to-ceiling windows directly faced the sea, offering a great view and easy sunset watching. Unfortunately, the popular Grabbell Hotel partially obstructed the view to the left, making the angle for admiring the sea from bed not ideal. The room itself was very new, but the design had numerous illogical aspects: ① The 'king' bed was actually two single beds pushed together, with a gap in the middle, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. ② The bathroom wasn't a 'three-fixture separation' (toilet, shower, sink in separate areas), and opening the bathroom door completely blocked the toilet, leading to poor circulation and accessibility. ③ After the main light switch was turned off for a period, the power outlets also shut off, preventing phone charging. If the main switch wasn't turned off, some lights couldn't be switched off individually. ④ The curtains required pulling cords on both sides to operate, and there was no corresponding instruction in the room. I only discovered this after struggling to pull the curtains for a long time. I was quite surprised to find such design flaws in a hotel that had been open for two years. The hotel service attitude was generally good. Checking in at 1:30 AM, the concierge was still on duty, helping with luggage from the car and later delivering it to the room. The front desk staff were also very friendly, and I didn't experience any discrimination. The rooftop infinity pool on the 26th floor also directly faces the sea. The pool isn't large or deep, but it's sufficient for leisure. There's also a bar by the pool, offering panoramic views of most of Colombo, with particularly stunning scenery at dusk. Breakfast, located on the 5th floor, featured strong local characteristics, with an array of various curries spread across the buffet. Opinions were sharply divided; my wife loved it, while I couldn't get used to it at all. Overall, to fully enjoy this hotel, you need to book a sea-view room and comfortably watch the sunset from your room or the rooftop pool. Otherwise, it's just a slightly flawed, but generally acceptable, four-star hotel."

"This hotel is truly unique, steeped in history, and they do a wonderful job of preserving its century-old heritage while still embracing the 21st century. Everything is excellent, the staff are friendly and respectful, really valuing old-school service traditions. There's even a museum showcasing famous past guests like Anton Chekhov and Yuri Gagarin. The 20-meter saltwater pool, right on the Indian Ocean, is simply fantastic for relaxing when the sea is rough. As I mentioned, the rooms are styled from the 1960s-70s, and you even get the charming creak of the floors and stairs. The hotel team clearly puts a lot of effort into maintaining the property against the forces of time and the ocean's weather. The dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a story in itself. You can explore not just local cuisine, but dishes from across South Asia. The chefs and restaurant staff really strive to make your stay here an enriching culinary journey into local culture and traditions. If it's your first time in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend this hotel for your initial introduction to the country. Despite the cost, it offers great value, especially considering its convenient location near Colombo's main attractions."

5* hotel booked to end our trip in style. Bar staff and cleaners were super happy, polite and love to great the guests in the hotel. Reception staff were generally unhelpful. I tried to book activities and excursions, but was initially told to go the hotel next door before being given a random book While trying to sort late check out one receptionist began serving another customer over my head. Late check out was eventually agreed to which was helpful but after being sat face to face in silence for minutes. Facilities are wonderful. Nice private beach, great pool area. Two bars and buffet style restaurant with ala carte option. Locals got charged significantly less for our event dinner. Some would say that's fair, others would disagree, but not being transparent probably suggests it was trying to be hidden. Service wasn't 5*. When we arrived our bedding was ripped and had a huge hole in it. Thankfully this was fixed, but I think atleast 2/3 people came to check before it was resolved.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel overall. The private beach is beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. The pool area is also great, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had strong AC, which made a big difference in the heat. The staff were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. One thing to note is that we didn’t receive responses regarding booking tours through the hotel, even after following up. I would recommend arranging any tours or activities in advance to avoid inconvenience. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere.

My stay at Radisson Hotel Colombo was very pleasant. The hotel is well-maintained, modern, and comfortable. The rooms were clean, quiet, and suitable for both business and leisure stays. Service was smooth and professional, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. The location is convenient, especially for business travelers, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and well-organized. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and room service and housekeeping met expectations. Overall, Radisson Hotel Colombo offers a reliable and comfortable stay with good service standards. Based on my experience, I would definitely consider staying here again during future visits to Colombo.

I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The service staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel environment was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. I especially loved the garden area, the swimming pool, and the stunning beach views. Waking up to the ocean view from my room was an amazing experience. Even the washroom was well-maintained and offered a great view, which made the stay feel even more special. What impressed me the most was the genuine hospitality of the staff. They made me feel welcome throughout my stay and paid attention to every detail to ensure my comfort. Overall, I would rate my experience 10/10. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay at Jetwing Sea, Negombo Our family stayed at Jetwing Sea from 11th June 2026 to 17th June 2026, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel offers beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, spacious and well-maintained rooms, and a wonderful atmosphere that made our vacation memorable. A special note of appreciation goes to Mr. Kelum Jayawera (General Manager), whose professionalism, leadership, and warm hospitality were evident throughout our stay. His dedication to guest satisfaction is reflected in the exceptional service provided by the entire team. We would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Kushlohko (Manager), Ms. Oshadi (Front Office Executive), Mr. Rumesh (Assistant Housekeeper), Mr. Sakuna (Barman), Mr. Manchonayaka (Senior Barman), and Mr. Prabash (Beverage Service Boy) for their kindness, friendliness, and willingness to assist us at every opportunity. They always greeted us with genuine smiles, made us feel welcome, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The rooms were excellent—clean, spacious, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient, ensuring that everything was perfect throughout our stay. The food was exceptionally well prepared, fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety. Every meal was enjoyable, and the restaurant staff ensured a pleasant dining experience. Location is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready. Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait. Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating. Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.
