I opted for a club room, and I truly believe the evening meal at the club lounge was the best I've had in Myanmar. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will absolutely be staying here again. I've attached photos of the stunning Inya Lake view from the hotel.

Lovely Yangon staycation. The room was quiet and comfortable with good wifi, nice bed and a bathtub.
The sauna and jacuzzi were my favourite things. They were clean and well maintained. The swimming pool has phenomenal views, however its freezing cold.
Breakfast spread is varied and delicious. Highly recommend and only 12 USD.
I wouldn't recommend dinner. It was mostly aimed at Chinese and Indian and had no European food.
Service is friendly, fast and efficient. I'll be back for sure
Very good and clean hotel, the hotel entrance is hard to find for the first time visit but staffs are welcoming, and you have to climb small stairs even after reaching guest floor by elevator, which I didn't like when I was tired from walking, there are water servers near guest rooms to fill in cold water anytime, breakfast quality is superb and you get air-blended milk tea, the meatballs at noodle counter are tasty and recommended, yet orange juice or fruit juice quality is not good compared to other 3 star hotels in Yangon. Bed quality is best of best so I slept very well
Cozy room. Comfortable bed and had all the basic amenities Accommodating and helpful reception staff. Value for money. Would stay again if in the neighborhood.

The best value for money in a downtown hotel in the heart of Yangon city. Safe, impeccable service, easy & early check-in given, clean, comfortable beds, hot water bath tubs, a good breakfast with variety and of course the staff; welcoming & hard-working.
Highly recommended! Affordable prices, great service and it's one of the 3 earth-quake proof hotels in the whole of Yangon. Select The Royal Park Yangon ~ you will be delighted with this choice of stay in a hotel in Yangon.
The only problem I faced was 1 of the 6 nights I booked online was not registered with the hotel on Trip
.com. That was rather strange, since I had a confirmed & paid document in black & white.
It was awesome. All the staffs are very polite, sweet and making us happy. Always asking “ how may we help, Di you need anything? Or something? Immediately they all responded and meet our needs like water, iron, iron board, AC, whatever we asked for helps and questions, their front desk response was awesome. I would like to give credit to Mr. Tommy and his team working at the front desk, Myat Noe, Moe, Mo, Su Sint, Pan, Leon, Sa, Than, May, Pyle and Zun working at the breakfast…! They were so amazing.
Thank you. I will definitely recommend to my friends whenever they will visit Myanmar, “Go and stay in Melia”.
Thanks.
Hope to see you again in the future!

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed.
It’s formerly known as Rosewood Yangon and now reopened for 8 months. Everything is excellent, very friendly, patient and helpful staff, extraordinary service. The hotel’s history dates back to 1927 so it’s absolutely a historical building. The decoration is very exquisite, breakfast is tasty and there are many choices. The location is also good and safe, very near to Sule Plaza, General Post Office and British Embassy. On terrace you can see the river view.
I want to especially express my gratitude to Vanessa and Swar, they provided me with a lot of detailed information so I can know more about this hotel, this city and this country. Please make sure they can receive this feedback and my appreciation!
Meanwhile, the front desk Moo Thaw, Luca showed me the hospitality.
Next time I come to Yangon, I would consider choosing this hotel again, and also I will recommend it to my friends.
Hope you can keep this level 😃
Excellent room with classic furniture and super-cleanliness, couteous and welcoming clerks, the breakfast quality is superb, the location is nearby General Aung San park on the northern side of Kandawgyi lake. But the entrance is high up on the slope and very hard to reach without taxi or car.
Fantastic hotel! The staff is very nice, helpful and knowledgable. The room was perfect as well as the facilites (lounge, pool and gym). Breakfast is super good (don't book without it), includint all westerner and a wide range of Asian food all over the continent. The hotel building also has a shopping mall with a big supermarket inside. It is also facing the beautiful Kandawgy Lake. I'll stay here every time I visit Yangon! 😍🇲🇲

Pros: The hotel has a European style, the staff is helpful, everything is new and clean, and the mattress, bedding, and towels are excellent. It's located in the city center. Cons: No water in the room, tiny rooms, windows don't open, and a meager à la carte breakfast in the cafe on the first floor. Because of the downsides, I'll choose a different hotel next time.

BBruce MWould stay again. Great location, close to area famous landmark by walking distance. Room need sound proof due to noise from street and near by park especially on morning. Also room key needed to be updated. Like old style bulk key chain back in the 80's . Great breakfast buffet and enjoy it. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Overall, very pleased with stay.

GGary Joseph HayesReview: The Governor’s Residence, Yangon
The Governor’s Residence remains one of Yangon’s most atmospheric and elegant hotels, combining colonial charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon.
Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements.
Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era.
What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice.
GGuest UserThe animation was perfect.
One thing I'd like to add in the future is a razor, since I'm a man. 😄
The staff had warm smiles and treated me well, making my stay peaceful. 🙂↕️
I'd love to use your services again.
Thank you for all the kindness you showed me during my stay.
GGuest UserCozy room. Comfortable bed and had all the basic amenities Accommodating and helpful reception staff. Value for money. Would stay again if in the neighborhood.
EEmily283I stayed at this hotel for two weeks during my stay in Yangon.
The water pressure in the shower rooms varies from room to room, and some rooms have malfunctioning security boxes, so I always check before checking in and choose my room.
During my stay, the air conditioning broke down (making a rattling noise and dripping water and ice), so I was upgraded to a slightly better room midway through.
The front desk staff speak English, so if you have any problems, they'll be happy to help you. It's a very comfortable stay.
The breakfast menu is pretty similar, but it's a buffet so you can eat your fill!
I really like this hotel, and I plan to stay again the next time I visit Yangon.
GGuest UserThe hotel reception staff and security staff were very friendly towards customers.
The room was also kept clean.
The location was convenient for my activities, and the breakfast was very neat and delicious, so I was very satisfied.
It was especially nice that they allowed me to eat from 6 in the morning.
Reception staff, security staff, other miscellaneous staff, and room cleaning staff all smile at the same time.
I had a very comfortable stay for 5 days thanks to the friendly and friendly guidance.
I stayed at the Melia Hotel in August 2023, and I think it was a much more satisfying hotel than there.
