We are a family of 5 adults visiting Melaka for my mom's 96th birthday celebration with her family and friends living n Melaka. We had the family suite - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. *Reception lobby has an overwhelming smell that is disgusting.
*Bathrooms: the tiles in the bathroom are moldy and falling apart with makeshift patchu. Bath towels had a funny smell and had seen better days. We had no choice but to replace the while towels with the blue-striped pool towels.
* Kitchen - a skeleton setup with sink, microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Basic amenities like one would expect in a kitchen such as stovetop, dish washing liquid, kitchen
hand towels, crockery and utensils are missing. The microwave is filthy. We have to use the white hand towels that guests would normally use in the bathroom to dry our hands in the kitchen. We had to request room service to clean the filthy microwave, provide plates and utensils for us to eat out take-out food, along with dish washing liquid to wash our dirty dishes. Pictures speak a thousand words.
Hotel is connected to a Mall - Shore that is deserted. Foot traffic is at its all time low. Mall is dimly lit ... a HUGE contrast to AEON.
I would not recommend this hotel. Sorry.

The Room & Amenities
The room itself was spacious and featured a balcony, which was a nice touch. However, the amenities are very basic and ”no-frills.” Regarding service, don't expect much. We noticed housekeeping cleaning the room next door, but they never checked in to see if we needed anything. It seems housekeeping is strictly upon request or non-existent for short stays.
The Elevator Crisis (The Dealbreaker)
The biggest issue here is the infrastructure. There are only 4 lifts to service 41 floors, which is mathematically impossible during busy periods.
• Wait Times: We waited nearly 35 minutes just to get to the ground floor or carpar.
• Check-out: We tried to beat the rush by leaving early, and it still took over 40 minutes to get a lift that wasn't full.
• Management Issues: To make matters worse, 2 of the 4 lifts were being operated manually, meaning they rarely stopped at middle floors like ours (Level 21). We were essentially trapped while lifts passed us by already full.
Final Verdict
If you are staying here, be prepared to factor in an extra hour just for vertical travel. There is a Sky Deck that likely adds to the traffic, making the wait times unbearable. Due to the poor lift-to-guest ratio, I won't be returning. It’s simply not worth the frustration.
This the second time im staying here. First time was a week ago and the staff was fantastic but unfortunately this time there was this guy(i dont know him/her) was very rude. Totally pissed me off, if you cant be nice and polite in your service industry then better just stay at home!!! Very arrogant.

We travelled in 22pax in 12 different rooms by bus.
Hatten is a hotel served mainly for tour groups n tourists.
The main door design also serves the bus entrance , n beside there is the bus parking bay too.
However , I had checked with staff by phone several times where to alight our guests, which we were told that we can stop at the lobby to alight everyone , then the bus only moved to the parking bay.
But when we were there , there was a MAN , shouting at us n the bus driver + pointing us away , asking us to go away from the main entrance. Even when we try to talk nicely, he asks us to go away, n eventually we stop at the road side to alight guests in their luggage.
- the point here is, Hatten architecture is designed to serve tourist bus stops at the lobby, why are all blocked and only serve for small vehicles??? So tourists who come in bulk have to walk from far away to your lobby?
- another point is, the person who gives the first impression at the front door is really BAD! ( a Chinese , elderly male, if not mistaken is not a concierge) , if is rude, do not serve as a service line person
- 3rd point is , what's the reason the beautiful n huge design of Hatten main entrance at the lobby is blocked n only serves small vehicles? So Hatten only welcomes small vehicles , and why such a beautiful n huge entrance design not allowed by the bus to alight the guests ? So what's the difference between Hatten n other budget hotels that we have to stop at the road side n pull luggage in from the roadside?
- check in counter only 1 person working, n all cards are not ready at all , we took more than 30mins to check in everyone.
** Other than this, the room is good.
I stayed at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka, Room 0059, from 8/2/2026 to 9/2/2026.
The room itself was good, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool is huge and very family-friendly. The food selection was generally good with a decent variety.
However, the major letdown was the electricity issue, which seriously affected our stay.
Our room and block experienced a blackout for a few minutes at night. Worse, while we were sleeping, the electricity kept tripping 3–4 times. Each time this happened, the air-conditioning turned off. My children were sleeping and woke up sweating due to the heat. This was very uncomfortable and unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
Other issues:
• The prayer mat provided in the room had a bad smell and clearly needed to be washed or replaced.
• During breakfast, the putu mayam was served with grated coconut that had turned sour.
• During checkout, the lobby was extremely crowded with a large group of people standing around. It felt very congested and uncomfortable, especially with families and children trying to move around.
Overall, the hotel has good facilities and strong potential, but the repeated electricity disruptions and poor crowd management during checkout need urgent improvement to ensure guest comfort.

Cleanliness can be improved. Especially toilet and bath tub area. Floor stain and basin area. Hotel is good and premium but felt like lack of proper maintenance, like room condition can be much improved. Overall 7.5/10.

Rosa Malacca has a very strategic location with lots of delicious local food just steps away. The hotel features a stylish industrial-themed design that’s very Instagram-worthy. The room is big and comfortable.
The only downside is the room acoustics, as noise from next door can be quite clear, and the oily smell from breakfast sometimes spreads into the room in the morning. Overall, still a pleasant stay with great location and unique design. Strongly recommend to stay with rosa

JJeevandranEnjoyed our stay at Baba House. The hotel has a unique charm and is well maintained, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. Its location is very convenient, as it is close to Jonker Walk, which made it easy for us to explore nearby attractions, food spots, and shops without much travel. The rooms were clean and pleasant, adding to a positive overall experience. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would consider returning in the future.

KKANNANRThe room we took was Family Suite, very spacious and has 5 pax beds. Nice location and close to many spots nearby.
The car park is shared with Hatten Hotel, need to walk 200 - 300 m to lobby at L3. Appreciate some deco can be done along the walkway from parking to Estadia Lobby, may be belong to Majlis Bandaraya Melaka. Room ok, could have offered breakfast for Suite package. The lobby and lifts are clean and well deco. The carpets in the room is clean but need some perfume to remove odor. Others all ok.
MMuhd FirdausOur stay at Puteri Bay Melaka was great 👍🏼 The location was great because we are able to have a good view of the beach, and it was near food places. The hotel reception and staff were also kind and helpful. Food selection for breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and had a good sleep 👍🏼👍🏼
The downside was that the toilet was not totally clean as there were strands of hairs sticking out from under the bed. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided in the room, and the prayer mat had an odour.
Generally, the stay was good although maybe staff need to ensure the room cleanliness and smell abit more?
I would still recommend the hotel for the comfortable beds and nice view and location beside the waterfront 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
EEddy MeisterI stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups.
The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient.
Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot.
Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant.
One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times.
Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together.
