The hotel was unique in its design. The room was spacious for 3 and the interior design of the room was great. Toilet, bathroom and bathtub were separated and we had all face no problem when we need them
Breakfast however was slightly below expected, the fruits were not so sweet and the cereals was a let down. It does not taste like original coco crunch and corn flakes. But other than that other food were okay for hotel level.
On the service, all the staff there were excellent and I had a wonderful stay throughout and ya they do also provide laugage storage in case you have a later flight.
It could have been awesome shall there be swimming pool available which were allowed for homestay residence only
But overall, I do love this hotel in terms of their service and design. .

This hotel offers excellent value for money. Its central location in Kota Kinabalu is incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food, with many popular local eateries within walking distance.
As an economy brand under Wyndham, the hotel is generally clean and tidy. While the rooms are designed with simplicity in mind, they offer ample space and good natural light, and all essential amenities are provided. The staff are quite enthusiastic, and check-in and check-out processes are quick.
There's an international restaurant on-site. While the breakfast selection isn't particularly luxurious, it's perfectly adequate for a simple daily meal.
If you're visiting Kota Kinabalu for leisure or business and looking for an affordable, well-located, and brand-backed place to stay, this is a very practical and comfortable choice.

This was my third time staying at the Kaseh Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and I brought my mother along for a trip. As always, the stay was incredibly satisfying!
Service: The front desk staff were warm and helpful, offering check-in services in both Chinese and English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of dishes that my mother particularly enjoyed. When cleaning the room, they always replenished necessary disposable items and even helped tidy up clothes on the bed and toiletries in the bathroom, which was very thoughtful.
Cleanliness: The hotel was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning service.
Environment: The location is extremely convenient. Taking a Grab to city attractions is always within a ten-minute drive, making it easy to get to Sutera Harbour for island hopping and Gaya Street. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's only about a ten-minute Grab ride from the airport, so there's no need to wake up extra early to catch a flight. Getting around to and from the hotel is very convenient.
Facilities: As always, the facilities are complete. You can take hotel towels with you for island hopping and snorkeling, just remember to return them. There are plenty of drying racks, perfect for hanging clothes. There's also an outdoor swimming pool.
Hope to see Kota Kinabalu again next time!

Our private family stayed here for 4 nights from the first day of our Kota Kinabalu trip, and we are sincerely grateful for the wonderful service and warm welcome we received.
In particular, the front desk service was excellent. They not only answered our questions accurately and empathetically, but they also went above and beyond, handling issues that might not typically fall under their duties with incredible attention to detail. Thank you very much.
The facilities show their age but are well-maintained. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to A Street, and you can easily walk to supermarkets, convenience stores, a laundromat, and even grab some light snacks. The parking was also very convenient; once our license plate was registered, we could enter and exit as many times as we wanted. Although the capacity wasn't huge, we never had trouble finding a spot during our 4-night stay.
The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the menu varied slightly each day. The only regrettable point was that the male floor manager, or whoever was in charge of the breakfast area, seemed to lack a bit of respect for women and children. (For example, after my husband went back to the room, he bumped into my daughter's chair without a word, and then started giving loud instructions to the staff right next to our table, which we found a bit bothersome.)

I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and I truly appreciated their kindness and understanding in allowing us to check in early without having to wait until 1:00 PM, especially considering my child needed proper rest after undergoing surgery.
The hospitality shown by the team made a challenging situation much easier for our family, and for that, I am sincerely grateful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for recovery.
The breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options and great quality food. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.

Overall cleanliness was good. And the location is very strategic as it is located in one of KK's biggest malls. I don't know if I could recommend this hotel due to my experience of construction noises lasting from 10pm to 12am (and it went over 12am where I had to ask the staff to check on it). I understand this may be a one-off incident but the lack of understanding from the staff is what truly puts me off. Even though the noise was coming from the mall, it does directly affect your customers and thus it is a problem that the hotel has to address. I called to complain twice, got no updates after the first and had to face a very dismissive receptionist in the second. The hotel should have taken more active measures and worked with the mall management. I don't think there's any excuse as to why construction has to happen AT NIGHT where your guests want to rest/sleep. Other than the mall, no other amenities.

One of the standout features of this hotel is the efficiency of the staff. The check-in and check-out processes were super fast, which is always appreciated after a long day of travel. Additionally, the hotel provides free parking, a major plus for those of us driving in KK where parking can often be a challenge.
The accommodations were excellent. Both the room and the toilet were spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. I also appreciated that they were generous with essentials—there was sufficient drinking water provided, so I never felt the need to constantly request more.
Breakfast at the hotel was a pleasant experience. While the quality of the food was nice, I did find the variety a bit limited and hope they can provide more choices in the future to keep the buffet exciting.
However, the absolute highlight of the morning was the fresh juice station. It is easily the best part of the breakfast service; you can request specific fruits, and the staff prepares the juice freshly for you right on the spot. It’s a personalized touch that really elevates the meal.
The hotel was very comfortable. I stayed here for four days in Kota Kinabalu. It is located in the city center, which is very convenient. It is surrounded by the famous Gaya Street, which is full of delicious food. It was great!

Absolutely loved this hotel! It was originally hard for three of us to find a suitable place, and we were considering Airbnbs, but then I stumbled upon their three-bedroom apartment and immediately booked it. We were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in; it was definitely the best hotel of our trip!
I have stayed in this hotel before and this time round I chose to stay in this hotel. It was a good selection because it’s convenient for my business purposes. It’s close to the airport and easy to grab rides. However, this time round the room was not up to par because the air-conditioning was not working in pristine condition, room felt rather warm.

AAnonymous UserI request room near lift and near receptionist no corner room unfortunately I get room far from lift and receptionist and get corner room.
Air bertakung di dalam bilik, jadi kurang selesa 😢
AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites.
The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .
LLaozhang2008The hotel upgraded our room directly because part of it was under renovation, and they even added an extra bed for free. It was clean and hygienic, with excellent service and even Chinese-speaking staff. The breakfast was plentiful, the gym had a great atmosphere, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommended!
KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.
BBrendon VI had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, expect the toilet is sharing and it's very dirty!. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location was perfect, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning — one of the highlights of my stay. Everything about this hotel felt high-quality, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!
SSanfengeOverall, I'm giving this hotel 4 stars, as my experience was quite satisfying. The location is definitely the biggest highlight, right in the heart of the city center. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making it super convenient for visiting attractions or getting around, which is a huge plus for travelers.
The room itself was spacious, and the standard king room had a well-designed layout with good natural light and ventilation, making for a comfortable stay. The hygiene was well-maintained, and the environment was clean and tidy. The staff were also quite enthusiastic, and the facilities generally met my travel needs, so it met my expectations overall.
However, one small detail needs improvement: when I opened the wardrobe, there was a strong, pungent odor, possibly from the wood material or cleaning residue. This really impacted the user experience. I suggest the hotel improve ventilation and odor removal to enhance the attention to detail.
All in all, apart from the slight wardrobe odor, the hotel performed well in terms of location, space, and basic services. The value for money is decent, and it's a good choice for travelers who prioritize location. I hope to see further improvements in the details in the future.
CChengyueThe experience at Semporna Sky Water Villas exceeded all expectations! My friend and I stayed in the Starlight Villa for two days, and it was truly beyond what we imagined. As soon as we arrived on the island, we were stunned by the scenery: the crystal-clear glass-like sea shimmered with various shades of blue and green under the sun. The wooden boardwalk, flanked by lush greenery, blended beautifully with the seascape – every photo we took looked like a postcard. The view from the Starlight Villa was simply incredible, with our balcony directly facing the ocean. In the evenings, we watched the orange and pink sunset paint the sea like a masterpiece, and at night, we could lie on the terrace and gaze at the Milky Way and countless stars. It was so romantic, we were speechless. The room facilities were clean and thoughtful; the wooden floors and furniture had a subtle oceanic scent, and both the shower water temperature and bedding comfort were perfect. The staff's service was truly top-notch, from their warm welcome upon arrival to actively recommending local specialties during meals, and even thoughtfully reminding us of the best time to catch the sunset. Every detail reflected their warmth. Whether it was a morning stroll on the boardwalk listening to the waves or relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon breeze, it allowed us to completely unwind. Half of the beautiful memories from this trip came from Semporna's sea, and the other half from this perfect water villa. We're already planning our next visit!
NNero0919Perfect Getaway!
This hotel on Mantanani Island, Kota Kinabalu, is an absolute gem! It's simply divine!
I specifically came to Kota Kinabalu for Mantanani Island's crystal-clear waters, and I chose the Mantanani Hotel in advance. After staying there, I just had to give it five stars!
The location is absolutely stunning. Step out, and you're on a soft, white sand beach. Open the balcony door, and you're greeted by the jelly-blue ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves every day was incredibly therapeutic. We booked a sea-view room; it was clean and spacious, the mattress had just the right firmness, and the shower water pressure was perfectly stable. There was no cramped feeling, which can often be the case with island hotels.
I have to praise the service! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They pre-arranged our island transfers and even proactively recommended snorkeling spots and delicious local snacks. They were always responsive and efficient. The hotel breakfast was also a pleasant surprise – freshly baked waffles with fresh mango, and freshly made Teh Tarik. The taste was absolutely spot on.
In the afternoon, I relaxed on a hotel beach chair, enjoying the sea breeze, and in the evening, I had a barbecue at the hotel restaurant under the stars. The pace was wonderfully slow and comfortable – exactly the island vacation vibe I was looking for. If you're coming to Mantanani Island, I honestly recommend staying here. The experience is so much better than a day trip. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kota Kinabalu!
Are you planning a trip to Mantanani Island soon? Would you like me to write another short review in a different style, suitable for social media?
JJoeytiniThe room has a very vintage feel, and given the price we paid, we didn’t set high expectations. However, we were truly surprised by the location — the balcony faces directly towards Mount Kinabalu, offering a breathtaking view!
The room itself is quite basic, with only essential amenities like towels, a hot water heater, hangers, a kettle, and a hairdryer. But what truly made our stay memorable was the owners, a lovely couple who treated us like family. Their warmth and hospitality were beyond expectations, and they were always ready to help with any inquiries about Kundasang.
They also mentioned that the place will be undergoing renovations soon after nearly 30 years. I am really looking forward to returning. Because honestly, their hospitality won my heart! ❤️
SStevendingThere's road construction downstairs, which made the hotel feel more like a standard domestic inn. The upside is it's right next to a large mall, so shopping is convenient. Everything else was just so-so, including the sea view, which was also mediocre, and the windows were dirty, obscuring the view.
