Suitable for those who look for serenity, strategic location with scenic view of Mount Ngaruhoe right at the entrance if the weather is good. Clean and tidy kitchen area with plenty of kitchen equipment and utensils for cooking. The only downside I would nitpick is that the hot tub is located by the roadside so there’s not much privacy around.
Reception is unfriendly - we arrived at 5:04 p.m. and had to call because reception is open until 5 p.m. So we had to call because we couldn't find the email (about opening the gate and other instructions). She seemed very annoyed! The house and the location are very nice and clean. But also showing its age - the kitchen and bathroom are in need of renovation.
The price is cheap, the location is good, the cleanliness is good, and there is a washing machine and a dryer in the room. I was a little worried about the quality, but it was much better than expected. Recommended
We enjoyed our one night stay. It was easy to locate the hotel. The front desk manager was courteous and friendly and helpful.
The hotel room was cozy, clean and spacious. We had a nice view of Palmy from the hotel room. There was an AC, a mini fridge, hot water, kettle, coffee, black tea, flavoured tea, milk and sugar available in the room. Unfortunately, you have to bring your own bottle of water, toothbrush & toothpaste. No hairdryer. Very comfortable bed & mattress. There's also a gymnastic and laundry facility available. Parking facility was available for the hotel's customers.
Pak n Save was just across the street. There was also Burger King, Thai restaurants, a pub and some other eating spot nearby. There was breakfast and dinner available upon purchase at the hotel.
Part of the hotel is under renovation. We reached there in the late afternoon and left around 10 a.m so most probably, this could be the reason we didn't hear any noise. We really wish we could stay more than a night and get the chance to explore Palmy a bit more.
Stayed 1 night with my wife, room was clean and comfortable, the view was beautiful, food and staff was perfect. Plenty of thing to do we did the walks next time mountain biking Would I go back and recommend to friends and family HELL yes I loved staying there and will be going back soon.
We had a great stay! Front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms and the place was clean. We arrived at the start of winter season, not too many guests so we had the place almost to ourselves. The amenities was great, they had a lot of DVDs for entertainment, and the common kitchen was clean and well maintained. We also ate at the cafe which was delicious. The location was walking distance to the groceries, the tourist information center and other eateries. Overall a great stay!

Hotel value was very good
location is good
However, I mistook it for breakfast included, so I ate breakfast and charged it.
Trip.com says $24 per person.
The counter asked for $28.
Of course, I paid 24 dollars, but it felt a little like that.
I had a good rest anyway

GGuest UserThey have a great location with lots of potential but there were several issues. The privacy lock on the door was busted, the TV didn't get any channels, there's no soap holder in the shower so that inconvenient. The walls are very thin so you hear everything from the surrounding rooms including the kid tapping at 4am. The bed smelled like urine. The vanity counter top was busted. The restaurant requires reservations for dinner which isn't a problem as they asked upon checkin however the food was severely lacking. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was burned, like black in places burned. Also, it had no seasoning and they didn't bother trimming the fat off the chicken. Finally the bartender didn't even know how to make a whiskey and coke, he brought my drink out full to the brim and then asked if I wanted ice. He brought out some ice but with the drink so full it made a mess.
GGuest UserThe manager was incredibly kind and friendly. The room condition was excellent; upon our evening arrival, the manager had thoughtfully pre-heated the room for us. The spacious bathroom, with safety bars for seniors/mobility impaired, was impressive. Our children enjoyed Netflix. Breakfast, served personally by the manager from 7:30 AM, was delicious, and the warm hospitality in the quaint dining area created a memorable experience for our family. Special thanks to the adorable Lucky and to the manager for these precious memories. We will definitely visit again.
GGuest UserThe only problem we had was the room was double booked for what ever reason . We require a refund for the second room as it was cancelled by the Coachman.

RRobertI stopped here just because I was tired of driving. There are a bunch of restaurants around and a supermarket, so in that sense, the location is good, but I don't think there is much interesting in the proximity.
The room was great: very clean, spacious, the shower was clean and the towels smelled fresh. Even the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were very nice, not like the regular cheap stuff you get. So all in all a great place to have a rest.
GGuest UserHey guys! The stay was very cozy! The restaurant and bar made it perfect! Thank you for the guest laundry space! Sucha life saver! The receptionist specially was veryyyy sweeet! She gave us a lot of information! Sucha sweetheart! However it would be good to have a microwave but it’s understandable why you guys do not provide it. Sadly we couldn’t experience snow as much as we wanted but it’s okay next time! Thanks much!

GGuest UserBig spaced and one bedroom, check in was smooth. Very much enjoyed our stay, did regret not booking another night while in the region. Definitely will be staying here again when we pass through Palmerston North. So close to the town centre within walking distance to super market, takeaways and the town Mall. Love it. Comfortable beds and smelt clean 🙂
