Japan Travels: Visiting Meiji Jingu, Shibuya

One of the most beautiful and popular shrine in Tokyo and a must-go spot when travelling to Japan. We visited Meiji Jingu in the late afternoon where the sky is slowly getting dark and the air is cool for us to take a stroll. The entrance feels sacred and feels like it’s an entrance to a whole new world, the walk to the shrine deep within took us 10min walk because we have to past through a long road of trees surrounding the path, it’s very zen and magical experiences. We past through a wall decorated of barrels in Japanese wordings and we entered the shrine, it’s huge and spacious. We spent more around 45 minutes inside to wander around and enjoy the temple scenery. We did a small offering tell to make a wish, determining our prophecy by shaking the Buddhist stick container, it’s a truly a new experiences for us both. We sat at a corner and enjoy the view and the painting with words on the large scrolls.
