I love this place so much that a part of me wants to gatekeep this hidden gem. Fanzhu梵住 is a beautifully curated boutique hotel that delivers outstanding hospitality. I initially booked a 5-day stay but loved it so much that I extended for an extra day, willingly sacrificing my next destination. I was initially worried the hotel might be a ”pretty façade.” Fortunately, Fanzhu met all my needs of functionality and comfort (Breakfast, Air Conditioning, an excellent shower, free self-service laundry, an ideal location). The property is far from perfection, but it overcompensates with simple, heartfelt sincerity. You can feel the tremendous thought and effort poured into this place to make guests feel comfortable. ✨ Highlights, Who Will Love This Place: ✅#English-Speaking Travellers: For foreigners unfamiliar with China, it is extremely helpful that the owner is fluent in English. ✅#Design & Aesthetics: Warm & modern. The property exudes zen-like comfort with charming decors. It has a gorgeous yard, with swimming pool, and ample outdoor seatings. ✅#Remote workers: I didn’t plan to work on this trip, but I could see myself working there remotely. If you come from the city where every building looks like a boxy Lego piece, you will deeply appreciate this place. ✅#Personalized Service: Kudos to the young lady boss! In a place like Wanfenglin where the location pins and 导航 can be vague to foreigners, sh took the time to understand my itinerary, how I planned my routes around Wanfenglin. She gave recommendations, and helped me check my “Destination” input on car hiring app. Airport and railway station pickups can also be arranged easily too. ✅#Immaculate Rooms: THE BED! Oh my, the bed! The linens, pillows, and towels are all premium quality. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash feel luxurious. The bed is so comfortable that I would return just for a sleep-in holiday. Ok I know I’m mentioning the bed twice but it’s worth mentioning thrice. Extra points from me that the rooms are non-smoking. ✅#Location: Before arriving, I read a review describing this place as ”a piece of tranquillity close to the action”. Now I get it. It sits as an independent building on a peaceful road/hill(?), yet it is a short, easy walk to the Bagua fields and Zhong Nahui, where you can find idyllic cafes, little shops, and children playing in the fields. ✅#Breakfast: Delicious local-flavoured noodles!They also offer more conservative standards like toasts, eggs, and coffee. Oh, the hotel has an ice machine! Ooooohh so sexy in the hot weather (apparently ice cubes are rare in Wanfenglin). ✅#The Resident Pets: As a pet lover who willingly pays to visit cat cafes, having resident dog and cats sealed the deal for me. ✅#BONUS TIP: The Rooftop Night Sky. Unassuming and rugged at first glance, I was initially unimpressed. But I heard good reviews from others, so I gave it another go, and am thankful I did! Stay awhile, allow your eyes some time to adjust in the darkness, and you would see the sky completely transforms. On my last night, I saw a shooting star! I kid you not. It was an absolutely unbelievable, unforgettable moment. Incredibly awesome! ⚠️ Considerations Before You Book (Who should avoid): - If you love standard chain hotels. Fanzhu is intimate enough to offer personalized service. But I can imagine some of my more pampered friends who prefer international breakfast buffet spread would struggle to settle for this simplicity. Some things are just not realistic expectations off a boutique. - Mobility needs: There is no elevator. They would graciously carry your suitcases. However, elderly may want to enquire about ground-floor room. - In the midst of nature: If you have zero tolerance for insects, you may want to skip staying in Wanfenglin. It is a humid, lush environment surrounded by fields and trees. Personally, with a body spray of insect repellent, I wasn't bothered at all. - Pet allergies: If you hate pets (but why would you? :( w

Me and my girlfriend got picked up at Congjiang train station which was very convenient. Right from the start the owners of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation is located at the back of the village next to a field where they grow rapeseed flowers and rice during the year. For us the location was perfect as it is very peaceful and quiet but simultaneously litterally a few steps away from the beautiful vibrant little village. The room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view on the field. The interior is very well matched and has great facilities. There was even a small laundry machine so we could do some laundry ourselves. So far during our travels in China, this stay was the best we had! There is a very stylish and cute coffee/restaurant located on the first floor of the building. This is also where you will have a delicious breakfast and where Ni Li and her sister will greet you with a smile every time you walk by. Ni Li, her husband Tao Mingqing, her sister and brother played a crucial part during our stay as after the first night my wife got very sick due to an infection and barely left the room during our stay. The second night I got foodpoisoning which made the situation even worse. (Not from the hotel!). We ended up extending our stay due to her condition. Luckily Li's English is very good so that helped us a lot in navigating the medical difficulties. We were extremely lucky to be staying with Li and her family as they took care of us like we were their own family. Preparing custom meals and dinner tailored to our needs every single day, preparing us tea, calling the local doctors and translating and taking us to the local hospital back and forth multiple times. We were there during the Qingming festival so no cars were allowed in the village which made it more difficult to reach the hospital. This didn't stop Tao Mingqing as he took us to the local hospital several times on the motorbike, one by one! The last time I even forgot a bag and he even went back to get it for me! He truly is a legend. Fortunately, my recovery was fairly quickly so I had the chance to explore the village a little by myself and spend time with Li and Ming while staying close to the room for my girlfriend. On day 4 my girlfriend's fever was coming down and she improved a little. Li and Ming invited us to have tea with them. Ming showed me his vast collection of tea and made sure to prepare the best tea suitable for our condition. The tea was truly amazing and he ended up filling a big bag with different kinds of teas as a gift for us! And that was not it, to make sure we would never forget them and drink tea mindfully the Chinese way when we're back home, they gave us the tea cups we used traditionally decorated with the blue dragon and phoenix. It was a very stressful situation and when we felt at our most fragile, they were there to take care of us, strangers they just met. This says everything about these wonderful people. Even though the illness of my girlfriend and the rough situation, we think back to our stay with a very warm hearth as our special experience forged a bond we'll never forget. We are incredibly lucky to have met Li and her family. We have said thank you to them 100s of times already, but I can't express enough how grateful I am for this people. Thank you for taking care of us like your family!!! ＜3 If you are unsure about staying here, there is truly no reason why you shouldn't! Whatever the situation, Li and her family will do everything they can to improve your stay. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

The service here is like in a 5 star hotel. Ming at the desk in particular is very helping and will go an extra mile for you. The room was cozy, clean, perfect for short stay if you're here for Fanjingshan or Tongren grand canyon. However, the name on this site and on the street is different so I posted a photo of the real name displayed on the street. Totally recommend this place, Tongren is cute little city as opposed to big ones 1st tier cities. One more shout out to Ming who was really taking good care of us and also through WeChat answering promptly on all our questions.

The hotel is located in a small alley which big car may find it difficult to reach but the hotel staff is really helpful to carry the luggage in and out to the main road. Location wise it is near the town area and easy acceasible to the scenic spot and eateries. The room is big and have good view of the river, but need to walk up thru staircase. Those stay in with seniors may find it difficult if occupy the high floor. I like the breakfast which give me the feel like homecook foods which is freshly prepared😋

Extremely satisfied! Highly recommended! The hotel's facilities and services are top-notch, maintaining Accor's high standards. I want to particularly highlight the hotel's location, which is perfect for travelers with kids and without a rental car. Qingyun Market is a 10-minute walk away, and the train station is also a 10-minute walk. Craving sour soup beef? You don't even need to leave the hotel! The hotel is directly connected to a commercial building, a 2-minute walk will take you to 'Guichef,' which is incredibly delicious! The hotel also has a pet-themed restaurant that is interactive, friendly, and clean. The kids absolutely loved it! I've attached a picture of the parrot explaining things at the pet-themed restaurant – see if you can spot the highlights 😂

Very nice hotel and resort, located inside the scenic park area, making it very convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the surroundings. Highlights: * Good location inside the park * Clean and comfortable rooms * Decent breakfast * Very kind and helpful staff * Excellent reception team * Pleasant resort environment Important Tip for Travelers: If you are arriving from Libo Airport or Libo Railway Station, inform the reception in advance about your arrival time. The hotel can arrange transportation from the park entrance to the hotel. Regular taxi services or Didi usually drop guests at the main park entrance, and reaching the hotel from there can be difficult . First-time visitors may find the hotel location confusing. Arranging pickup with the hotel beforehand will make your arrival much smoother. Overall, a very good resort with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a convenient location inside the park. The only challenge is transportation from the entrance, which can be easily resolved by contacting the hotel before arrival.

I booked very early to stay 9 nights to rest from the 5/1 busy holiday crowd for my one month travel in this region of China. The first week of my stay turned out to be a wonderful encounter of sorts. Two different ladies I met during my Feb trip to Shaxi, Yunnan decided to join me in Xingyi during their 5/1 holiday. I explained my new stay situation to the lady owner and very readily she arranged for us to stay in the 3 bedroom during their visit and move me back to my original booking after they left. Her flexibility and adaptability is impressive. We hit it off immediately and my 2 friends from different parts of China also experienced her kindness and super hospitality. All of us also received a thoughtful parting gift from her. Because the homestay was firstly built as a home, all amenities you can think of for a comfortable home is in each room. There is a good brand water purifier that emits drinking water at useful set temperatures for boiling, coffee, baby or room. There is a fridge within the room and any extra cookwares can be provided as needed. The room is also a Smarthome, I was delighted that xiaoai tongxue could understand my weird Chinese pronunciation. The bed and furnishings are top notched. I slept very well and deeply every night. I also used the Haier washing machine, make sure not to pour too much washing detergent as it is a high efficent machine. I am very grateful to be invited for meals whenever I'm at my room. It was very heart warming to witness the big heartedness of the lady owner. She gave me the feeling of coming home to a family that I never knew I have. I felt rested and so much at ease staying at this beautiful home that I was dragging my feet when it is time to leave. I think for my future travels, I will consider visiting for at least a week's rest, since its location is so accessible via either airport or highspeed train station. There is also a medical wellness shop next door. Best way to fully experience the life at this homestay is to show up for a free foot soak to understand the traditional chinese medicine concept of wellness and talk to their customers to learn of their recovery experiences. In summary, I highly recommend this homestay when you want to rest in a well designed city like Xingyi and to experience the friendliness of Guizhou people. The weather in Xingyi is also very conducive for good living. A good life should be lived and experienced like this; everyday making a point to eat well together, having good conversations and laughs, with love. Here, the connections are real.

We chose Holiday Inn Guiyang Airport for an early morning flight with our child, and it was a perfect stay! The hotel offers a free airport shuttle starting at 6 AM, and the ride is very short, so we didn't have to struggle with luggage and a child. The front desk staff was incredibly thoughtful; seeing we had a child, they proactively arranged a quiet room. A special shout-out to Lily at the front desk, who was very enthusiastic and provided excellent service. Although our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, she gently explained why, let us store our luggage so we could go out, and even helped us bring our bags to the room later. Her problem-solving skills were fantastic! The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, including noodles and pastries, which our child thoroughly enjoyed. The public areas were tidy, perfect for a walk or relaxation while waiting for a flight. The service was attentive and thorough. Staying here with a child was hassle-free and comfortable. Five-star recommendation!

Every day at my coffee house, I have a surprise! #Service service is first-class, very good, the room card is invalid in the afternoon, my sister directly let me operate the computer at the front desk, to be honest, I am really a little shocked, do you trust the guests so much 😨 is really very enthusiastic 🥺#Breakfast in the morning, my sister and husband drove all the way to buy delicious broken bags back. , the three fresh broken buns of meat moi bean paste are really delicious 😭😭😭 The portion is also very sufficient, and it is very full to eat one! Stay up late and work overtime in the morning to eat super happy! There is a rice noodle stall opposite the homestay. My sister recommended it. 8 yuan crisp whistle powder is very fragrant and the weight is enough. #Location traffic is very convenient to take a taxi. There is a coupon to Anshun West Station. It costs 4 yuan to roar and roar. It will be there in a few minutes. 😋

Stayed 3 nights in 山水谈. Personally I liked the decor of the homestay lobby and dinning area. The photos of the original room-Superior Smart Room - Mountain View that we booked on the 4th floor were misleading. It was an attic room with a slanted roof and a small window where some would feel claustrophobic, not big at all as shown on the photos. Fortunately we were allowed a room upgrade by booking via Trip.com and checked in to a room on the 2nd floor. Location wise, it was excellent as it was only a 10-minutes walk to 小七孔. Housekeeping was done daily and nicely. There was also complimentary laundry provided. Breakfast was sumptuous with good varieties. We were also picked up and dropped off at Libo HST Station. A feedback would be more warmth would be nice from the male staff.
