Pros:
Beach is awesome, clean & windy. Swimming pool is big for whole family and clean
Cons:
Check in was not smooth as our rooms were separated at different floor. The hotel see us as a separate booking from Trip.com even though it was done in a single booking. Please improve this as I can’t book multiple rooms under one name in Trip.com.
Water in the room will turn yellow at 7pm. We have to wait more than an hour for it to be normal
Face towel not provided, we were informed it is only applicable to ‘certain’ rooms. r
The reception said tat if I come late after 7am the booking will be burnt.. This is ridiculous... At least we make a full payment.. Pls don't say tat again to the guest due to the late check in.. Others is superb
The hotel is very close to Kuala Terengganu Airport, about a fifteen-minute walk. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. Definitely recommended!

very nice hotel, city centre. walking distance to pasar payang. lobby smells goods, nice interior. room is small but still nice. bed and pillow is very comfortable. love the body shower smells, so nice! downside was our room water heater not functioning well. turn knob to hot, but the water feels hot & cold. overall we love this hotel.
One night sleeping at Hotel grand Continental Terengganu hotel in the morning I’m walking to the lift bridge take a few photos and then having breakfast everyone can walk from the hotel even though it's a little sweaty back to the hotel on foot you can also use Grab or taxi but this time we choose to walk it's a fun experience
Overall, everything was good and we had a pleasant stay. The kids were very happy with two waterparks and a big swimming pool, which was a big plus for families.
However, on the first day, there was water on the floor in the room. Not sure whether it came from the air conditioner or due to heavy rain, but it might be good for the management to check.
The location is quite far from the city, so it’s more suitable for those who want to relax rather than go shopping or explore food spots. That said, Pok Nong Ikan Celup Tepung is only about 15 minutes away, which is convenient.
Overall, a nice place for a relaxing family getaway.
The hotel is right next to Chinatown (about a 10-minute walk). Luckily, there's a 7-Eleven downstairs where you can grab essentials, and a pharmacy too. For the price, I think it's fantastic value for money! The room was comfortable, and it had a window with good natural light. The only minor drawback was that the mirror was a bit dirty, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly.
Parking can be difficult to find if you check in during the daytime since it’s public parking. The room was comfortable overall, but there was an unpleasant septic tank smell coming from the fan. It got much better after we turned the fan off and used only the air conditioning.
The hotel is conveniently located near KTCC Mall, just a 5-minute walk away. There’s also a restaurant below the hotel, but unfortunately the food was quite pricey and didn’t really match the taste 🫠
Overall great. Stayed here for a few times already,. Ample parking and free, just need validation from receptionist. Room is spacious with amenities like toiletries, iron, sejadah. Instant coffee in the room is so good. It was i great experience. i honestly would stay again.
The room and overall environment were beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. However, during my stay, I experienced several issues with the water supply in the bathroom. The problem happened multiple times, and I had to contact the maintenance staff more than five times. There were even some misunderstandings and discussions regarding fixing the issue and changing rooms.
Thankfully, the staff managed the situation professionally in the end and provided complimentary breakfast as compensation, which I truly appreciated. Despite the inconvenience, I still enjoyed my stay because the hotel itself is truly beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely come back again in the future, hoping for an even better experience next time!

GGuest UserThe place is ok .. not very clean, not very dirty .. just a bit noisy because there is a badminton court, right .. because I have a newborn .. but overall it's ok, no complain because there's no hotel holiday, right
AAnonymous UserIt's normal but it's ok to have a place to sleep and rest for a while. But don't expect anything fancy. The budget hotel is really old-fashioned but it's good to have a coway. The bed is not hard, the shower tap water is fast.

GGuest UserWhen we checked into the hotel, the front desk informed us that there would be renovation works in the hotel, and there might be noise from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They asked whether we would like to move to the neighboring Ming Paragon Hotel instead, and I agreed to change.
Both hotels share the same parking area. When booking the hotel, it was stated that parking was free. However, in reality, there is a charge of RM2.20 per day, which is actually acceptable. The problem is that every time we exit the parking area, we must inform the front desk staff.
This morning, I left early and there was no staff at the front desk. A phone number was left, but when I called it, the phone was switched off! With no other choice, I had to leave, and I was charged RM8.00 for parking.
When I returned to the hotel and explained the situation to the front desk staff, he told me that this was the parking operator’s charge and that the money could not be refunded!?
I am extremely angry!
GGuest UserI had a free upgrade from double bed to family room. So it was spacious for me. The reason of choosing this hotel was due to its distance, near the Jambatan Angkat. I had a short run from the hotel to the Jambatan Angkat return. The hotel was near to Masjid Negeri hence I didnt feel alone hearing the azan near me. Many restaurant nearby so you dont have to worry about breakfast. I will return if I were to register running event in Kuala Terengganu. It was near the Terminal bus station too. Just walking distance.
MMiaSurayaOk for 1 night stay.
Bedroom is small around 25meter. Toilet is ok and can be better in cleaning. Parking is behind the hotel. The drawbridge is visible from the window. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. The price of this room is affordable too.
Uuneyy_6924 Hours in Paradise: Why One Night at Sutra Beach Resort Feels Like a Dream!
Let me tell you something — not all staycations are created equal. Some are just a change of location. But a night at Sutra Beach Resort? That’s a whole different story.
The moment you step into the resort, it feels like you’ve entered a slower, calmer world. No chaos. No rush. Just the soothing rhythm of the ocean guiding your entire experience. It’s the kind of place where time doesn’t just slow down — it almost stops.
I started my stay with a simple walk along the beach. Barefoot, feeling the sand, listening to the waves… and suddenly, everything else didn’t matter anymore. That’s the magic of this place — it pulls you into the present moment without even trying.
The facilities are just enough to keep you comfortable without distracting you from the real highlight: nature. Whether it’s lounging by the pool, enjoying the sea breeze, or just sitting under the shade doing absolutely nothing — every second feels intentional.
And then came the sunset. Honestly, pictures don’t do it justice. The sky exploded into colors, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world paused just to admire it. People gathered quietly, watching, smiling — strangers sharing a beautiful moment together.
Nighttime brought a completely different vibe. Calm, cool, and incredibly peaceful. No loud city noise, no stress — just the sound of waves and the occasional breeze. I slept better than I had in weeks.
Morning came too fast. Waking up to the ocean view felt surreal, like I was still dreaming. And that’s the thing — even after checking out, it still feels like a dream.
One night at Sutra Beach Resort isn’t just a stay. It’s an experience. A reset. A reminder of how beautiful life can be when you slow down.
