The environment is very, very good, quiet, and the hotel is very historic, the hotel’s restaurant is superb, Scottish style, right on the border of England and Scotland, superb
An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's about a five-minute walk from the bus stop and only five minutes from the pier where boats depart, which was incredibly convenient for our booked bird-watching tour. You can wake up early and walk to the pier to catch the sunrise, then grab some fish and chips. The service was superb; the staff were very welcoming and always ready to help with any requests. The hotel also operates as a pub/restaurant, and the food quality is excellent, with very attentive service. Even Charles, when he was still a prince, visited here. Our accommodation was a small bungalow separate from the main hotel. It's unbelievable to get an entire house with a living room and kitchen at this price in the UK – it truly felt like living in the town. Breakfast is à la carte, a very delicious and traditional English breakfast.
