We stayed here for one night during a layover. Generally, we had a good experience in this hotel. Everything was clean, warm water, good functioning air conditioner and it was quiet - all the necessary things required to rest after a long flight. We have noticed that one bed in our room was quite uncomfortable. The mattress was worn out and I could feel the springs of the bed. The second bed was completely ok. The Internet was good and reliable.
Breakfast was average. Again, for a layover hotel the basics are enough to be full: eggs, bread, ham, cheese, banana, coffee and juice. We have noticed something that can improve is that it takes very long for staff to refill the food once it’s finished. Eggs and juice took a good 20 minutes to refill. When you’re on a layover and pressed for time, this is unacceptable.
One of the best hotels I've stayed in Africa, the hotel staff is well-trained and very service-minded. The breakfast is very rich, with European characteristics, and a variety of cheeses!
It was my first time staying at the InterContinental Angola. It was hard to imagine that I could stay at such a high-quality hotel in Africa! The breakfast buffet had more than 200 items, Muito bom! There were two swimming pools as well! I will stay at the InterContinental Angola next time I go to Angola!
I want to thank everyone at this hotel, they cared for me a lot and they were amazing. It was my first time in angola and they amde me feel home. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Overall, the hotel is a good value for money hotel in Luanda. The breakfast is not particularly rich, but I can basically eat it well. There are juices, bacon, and vegetables. The room service is also relatively timely, and the front desk and waiters are quite enthusiastic.
