The most memorable part of our stay at the Four Seasons Sanya Haitang Bay Hotel was definitely KK at the front desk. From the moment we checked in, she greeted us with a warm smile, proactively helped with our luggage, explained the room types, and even thoughtfully pointed out some great local eateries nearby. Midway through our stay, the AC had a minor issue, and with one call, an engineer arrived within minutes. Not only did he fix it promptly, but he also brought two lovely small gifts as an apology – it was handled so quickly and kindly. When we checked out, we had an early flight, and KK had already prepared a simple breakfast for us, wishing us a safe journey. Her attentiveness and enthusiasm truly enhanced our entire trip. Encountering an employee like her genuinely makes you want to return!

This hotel is perfectly located! Just a few steps downstairs, you'll find a lively food street, a supermarket, and even a McDonald's. In the evening, it's a short walk to see the light show or visit the wedding manor. Everything you need for eating, shopping, and entertainment is right here, no need to venture far at all.

The lobby of Ocean Flower Island Europark Hotel is absolutely stunning, truly capturing that European castle vibe – perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. This was my second stay. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they're beautifully decorated and feel really cozy. The four themed room types each have their own unique charm, and there are tons of facilities for families. You'll often catch performances in the lobby, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety. The amenities are comprehensive, and the service is super responsive. A special shout-out to our butler, Xiaoyue! We checked in quite late and didn't get settled until well into the night. Even at that late hour, we had some questions, and she patiently answered every single one. Her help made our trip go so smoothly!

Staying at the Hilton Wenchang this time was an absolute delight! So much emotional value. Many of the hotel's family-friendly activities are free, and childcare isn't expensive. Our butler, Lulu, was incredibly responsive to all our requests. Although the rocket launch we were hoping to see was canceled, we still had a fantastic time overall. This is definitely the top hotel for family trips to Wenchang.
**Value for money:** Better than Sanya.
**Recommendation:** Fu Ji Wenchang Chicken in Longlou Town. A must-try!
**Downsides:** Qishui Bay Beach is public and quite commercialized, with some litter.
**Small details:** Surprisingly, the plates used in the breakfast restaurant and executive lounge were plastic, which felt a bit cheap. There are a few minor details in the room that could be improved, like ensuring every window is sparkling clean.

The hotel's natural environment is fantastic! The garden, lawns, and pool are all very well-maintained. Coming here for Chinese New Year, it was great to swim and for the kids to play in the water. The location is superb; you can walk along the coastal boardwalk downstairs to Century Bridge and HCC, which was very pleasant! It's also not far from Qilou Old Street, the Sports Library, and Leiqiong Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark. I have to give a special shout-out to the hotel's Guest Services Manager for their outstanding service. Due to the holiday rush, check-in took longer than usual, but they proactively called to apologize and offered a complimentary buffet breakfast for my child. They also helped with a late check-out, which gave us more time to explore the garden and swim. It was so relaxing!

I stayed here because I had an early flight, and the experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a few minutes' drive from the airport. The 24-hour shuttle service was incredibly prompt, and the driver was very friendly.
The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. Despite being close to the airport, the soundproofing was excellent; I barely heard any airplane noise and had a peaceful night's sleep.
The front desk service was professional and efficient. They proactively asked about my flight time and reminded me about the shuttle.
While the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, the quality was good, especially the Hainanese noodle soup, which tasted very authentic. It was really satisfying to have a hot meal before catching my flight. Highly recommended!
This is definitely the top choice for travelers with layovers or early morning flights. I'll be back again!

I'd like to start by saying the hotel's overall environment is very comfortable, giving you that rainforest vibe. The staff's attitude is also excellent. However, my stay this time was quite disappointing, and I likely won't choose this hotel again.
First off, when I booked, I selected the 'early check-in 4 hours in advance' option, and when I contacted them online at the time, I was told it was successfully reserved. Yet, when I arrived at the hotel at 1 PM, there was a long queue for check-in, and I waited for quite a while. When it was finally my turn, I was informed that there were no rooms available and none had been cleaned yet. So, what was the point of reserving early check-in? After contacting Trip.com, I was told the hotel couldn't do anything about it, as the rooms weren't ready, and I'd have to wait another hour for an 'expedited' cleaning.
I finally got to my room around 2 PM and immediately tried to fill the hot spring bath. The water flow was incredibly slow; after nearly two hours, it hadn't even filled halfway. I had to contact maintenance to come and check it. After about twenty minutes of repairs, the water flow finally became normal, but by then, I gave up on soaking and went to grab some food.
Furthermore, the room facilities are indeed quite old. The 2-meter bed felt severely aged; just a slight turn or movement would make a loud noise, which significantly disturbed my rest.
On a positive note, the hotel's Chinese restaurant and breakfast restaurant were quite good.

Atlantis Sanya was absolutely fantastic! I honestly didn't have high expectations for the service, given how many people would be there. Even the taxi driver warned me about the crowds and potential service delays, which made me regret booking such a popular hotel. But as soon as we pulled up, a young man immediately came to open our car door and help with our luggage from the trunk. I was so grateful! I thought, 'Okay, service isn't bad after all.' He didn't even let us lift a finger, pulling our two large suitcases all the way to the luggage drop-off. He thoughtfully told us to keep our luggage tag safe before heading to check-in. After check-in, the staff kindly suggested we could go explore, and they'd clean our room as quickly as possible for us to settle in. Since hotels usually have a 3 PM check-in time and we arrived at 11:30 AM, I just nodded, figuring I still had a few hours to wait. I took the kids to the waterpark first. Before I even finished changing, our butler, 'Little Crab,' added me on WeChat and enthusiastically told me to contact her directly if I needed anything. I thought, 'What could I possibly need?' Besides, based on my experience at another hotel (Yalong Bay HUALUXE), even if I had an issue, the butler there couldn't really help. Then, at precisely 12:28 PM, I received a text message: 'Dear valued guest, your room is ready. Please pick up your room key at the front desk at your convenience. Enjoy your stay.' Wow, I was genuinely touched! Let me explain why: when I stayed at the Yalong Bay HUALUXE, I asked the butler if we could check in an hour or even half an hour early so my younger daughter could rest. The staff kept saying no rooms were available or clean. There was nothing I could do because the website clearly stated 3 PM check-in, but my little one was so tired from the journey that she ended up falling asleep on me in the HUALUXE lobby. So, Atlantis Sanya's efficiency deeply impressed me. My younger daughter played at the waterpark until 2:30 PM, and it was perfect timing to go to the room for a quick nap, which completely re-energized her. Later, I didn't even have to ask, but Little Crab thoughtfully informed me that the drinks, coffee, fruit, and water in the room were all complimentary. That evening, my younger daughter wanted to take a bath, and I was worried about the cleanliness of the tub, so I asked the butler if they had any sanitizing wipes. She immediately responded, saying she could send staff up to clean it for me. Not only did they sanitize it, but they also brought a bath liner—so thoughtful! The next morning, we went to the G floor for breakfast. Because it was so crowded, the staff at the restaurant entrance suggested going to the 18th floor if we didn't want to wait. I asked if the food was the same upstairs and downstairs, and the server said there wasn't much difference. So, I went to the 18th floor, only to find a meager selection of food, nothing like what I'd seen on the first floor. I casually mentioned my regret to the butler, saying I shouldn't have come up and should have waited. To my surprise, the butler immediately had her colleague escort me from the 18th-floor restaurant back down to the first floor to dine. I was a bit embarrassed! This trip to Atlantis Sanya completely overshadowed my previous stay at Yalong Bay HUALUXE. I have to say, it was truly amazing. My kids and I loved it, and we definitely want to stay here again. A big thank you to Little Crab, our butler, for making this trip so special.

Facilities: This five-star hotel boasts comprehensive and luxurious facilities. The large balcony with a bathtub, lounge chair, and table is a thoughtful touch. The linens are of excellent quality and very comfortable. However, the toiletries could use an upgrade. The breakfast buffet is rich, varied, and delicious, featuring Hainanese specialties. Dishes and drinks are replenished promptly, which is a big plus! 👍
Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy! 👍
Environment: Both the interior and exterior environments are excellent! It really has a holiday vibe. The hotel offers very convenient and close access to the beach and seawall, and it's clean and not crowded.
Service: The front desk and housekeeping staff are well-trained. They actively greet guests and respond to guest requests promptly and proactively. A huge thumbs up! 👍

I absolutely love this beachfront guesthouse, White Realm, Nature's Breeze. Every time I visit this town, I make sure to stay here. The staff, from the housekeepers to the younger team members, are incredibly warm and attentive. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, with excellent amenities. The balcony offers an unbeatable ocean view, perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. The large, shared swimming pool is wonderfully relaxing, and sitting in the lobby in the afternoon with a coffee is just delightful. I highly recommend everyone to experience it!

TTeobisataI stayed at Yalong Bay Earthly Paradise Birds Nest Resort in Sanya. The resort is marketed and priced as a luxury property. While the location, room quality, and cleanliness were satisfactory, the service level was severely below what is acceptable for a hotel in this category.
This was not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern of operational inefficiency and lack of professionalism.
Service Quality and Staff Preparedness
Throughout the stay, many staff members appeared very young and inexperienced. While this is not inherently negative, the lack of visible supervision, structured coordination, and professional training was evident. This may partially explain the repeated service failures, but it does not justify them — especially at this price point. A luxury resort must ensure proper training and management oversight.
Dinner Experience
The restaurant had very few guests, yet the staff forgot to provide basic cutlery (forks and chopsticks). No one monitored the tables, and water was not refilled unless specifically requested. Even fundamental hospitality standards were not met.
Breakfast Management
Breakfast operations were disorganized. There was a waiting list based on arrival order, yet guests who arrived after us were allowed to enter before us. We were traveling with a small child, which made the delay particularly uncomfortable.
As compensation, staff promised to send fruit to our room. The fruit never arrived. Offering apologies without follow-through demonstrates poor internal coordination and lack of accountability.
Checkout and Transportation Failures
On departure day, we had to request luggage assistance three times before receiving support. We then waited 40 minutes for the shuttle to reception while several buses passed without stopping for us. During this time, we called reception three times without any effective resolution.
Because of this disorganization and delay at checkout, I was forced to postpone a lunch meeting in Sanya with a very important guest of mine who was waiting for me. This was a significant professional commitment. A luxury resort’s inefficiency directly impacting a guest’s business obligations is unacceptable.
Communication and Safety Concerns
No staff members spoke English. For a resort charging international luxury rates, the absence of English-speaking personnel is a serious limitation for foreign guests.
Additionally, there was no visible safety guard near the swimming pools, which raises concerns, especially for families with children.
Hotel Environment
The hotel’s reserved areas were crowded with external tourists mixed among hotel guests, resulting in noise, confusion, and a complete lack of exclusivity. The atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing. The resort does not appear structured to accommodate international travelers seeking privacy and refined service standards.
Overall Assessment
I have stayed in numerous high-end resorts worldwide where service is proactive, coordinated, and client-focused. At this property, service was consistently inadequate and far below the level expected for the rates charged.
Summary:
Location: good
Room: good
Cleanliness: good
Service: unacceptable
For a resort positioned as luxury, this level of service is indefensible. One of the most disappointing high-end hospitality experiences I have experienced.
GGuest UserStaying at the Yalong Bay Welcome Hotel this time was fantastic! The view from the balcony was amazing, right over the pool. Every morning I woke up to the sunlight and birdsong. The room was clean and spacious, with very new facilities. The location is also ideal – it's very close to the commercial street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. It's only about a ten-minute taxi ride to the Forest Park, and Yalong Bay Beach is just a five-minute walk away, making it super convenient for playing in the sand and wading in the waves! The staff were very friendly and attentive; they even called the day before to confirm my needs, which was quite thoughtful.
FFengguncaoshalaThis hotel is quite large, boasting its own forest and beach. The forest connects to another Wanda-owned hotel next door, so you can explore both to experience different styles. The swimming pools are also shared, but this hotel's pool has a bubble machine, which is a bigger hit with kids! 👏 The rooms are very spacious and clean; however, the doors are quite thin, so you can hear children's noise from the hallway. Breakfast is plentiful, and the restaurant environment is excellent, serving until 11 AM. The hotel lobby offers complimentary Qingbuliang (a sweet dessert soup), which tastes great! 👍 PS: When visiting Sanya, always ask the hotel front desk what value-added services they provide. Many hotels offer free shuttle buses to various attractions and duty-free shops.
Rrg988I've stayed here multiple times, and the experience is always fantastic. Rooms start from 88 square meters, and all ocean-view rooms feature an expansive open-air balcony and a bathtub, perfect for relaxing while gazing at the sea or admiring the moon at night. In-room amenities include Byredo toiletries and Dyson hairdryers; they even provide exfoliating mitts – the attention to detail is truly impressive.
Excellent Dining: Beyond the underwater restaurant, the hotel offers a wide array of dining options. Tianjingwan All-Day Dining combines local flavors with international cuisine, while the Haitianyise restaurant provides a romantic glamping BBQ experience.
Prime Location & Convenient Facilities: The hotel is very close to the duty-free shop, just a few minutes' walk from Sanya International Duty-Free City, making shopping incredibly convenient.
Stunning Beach: The hotel boasts a beautiful beach with soft, fine sand. You'll find plenty of photo opportunities with beach chairs, swing sets, and other scenic spots scattered around.
LLuoliyue92I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya for 4 nights with my parents and child, and everyone absolutely loved it! This hotel is definitely a hidden gem for a family vacation.
📍 **Excellent Location:** It's super close to the beach, and some rooms even offer direct sea views. It's only a 10-minute drive to the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, which is incredibly convenient for those who love to shop. Wuzhizhou Island pier is also not far, making it easy to hail a taxi.
🛏️ **Room Experience:** Since I was traveling with my parents and child, I opted for the Horizon Club. The Horizon Club offers access to an executive lounge with not only breakfast but also afternoon tea and dinner, which was incredibly convenient. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the balcony offered stunning sea views. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with children's toiletries and a children's step stool. There's also a sofa bed in the room, which you can ask the butler to set up in advance – perfect for a family of four.
🍽️ **Satisfying Dining:** The main restaurant's breakfast spread was incredibly rich with a huge variety of options, including freshly squeezed watermelon and cantaloupe juice. To my surprise, there was even a dedicated kids' area! It offered not only dishes suitable for children like wontons, congee, pasta, steamed buns, and fried snacks, but also finely cut fruits and vegetables, showing great consideration for little ones. My child absolutely loved it.
The Horizon Club executive lounge was also fantastic. Besides afternoon tea, they have an evening happy hour with different hot dishes each day. They also offered non-spicy vegetable and meat dishes, as well as fried noodles and rice, suitable for children. Everything tasted great.
🎪 **Abundant Children's Activities:** There are tons of parent-child activities every day, along with unlimited free rides on the mini-train. We participated in a dragon fruit sushi-making class, which was a wonderful experience, and my child had an absolute blast.
The hotel also has an adventure zone, a petting zoo, and you can even ride ponies and ostriches, which the kids really enjoyed.
The water park is also large and clean. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly when we visited, so we didn't go in, but it would be perfect for warmer weather.
💫 **Five-Star Service:** The hotel service was absolutely superb. Romy checked us in, and she was incredibly kind. She helped us resolve a breakfast issue and personally escorted us to the shuttle bus stop after check-in. Our luggage was also delivered directly to our room by a dedicated staff member – super nice.
This vacation was incredibly satisfying, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again the next time I visit Sanya!

GGuest UserI arrived a little after 1 PM and had to wait a bit to check in. The room itself was quite old-fashioned, no smart toilet or charging ports, kind of like an older guesthouse. But I guess that's understandable since it's an older hotel. However, the public areas like the pool and lounge spaces were really nice. The pool water was super clean, and both adults and kids swam without any issues. Even though it was hot, the water felt a little chilly when you first got in. A special shoutout to Ty Rui, the guy who rents out the swimming rings – he was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful! Plus, the hotel is right on the beach. In the mornings, it wasn't too crowded and the scenery was stunning; that vast blue sea was truly beautiful!
MMI.riceThank you for sharing your feedback on the hotel. We understand that the service experience you mentioned fell short of expectations, and this can indeed impact the overall stay. Hotel service is a crucial part of the guest experience, and excellent hospitality often adds warmth and convenience to a trip. We believe that with continuous attention and improvement, the hotel can consistently enhance its service quality to create a more comfortable and thoughtful environment for every guest. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps drive improvements in service quality.
GGuest UserOn the first day, I added Jill, our butler, on WeChat. Our first room was a bit far from the sea, so I asked the butler, and she immediately helped us switch to a much more comfortable room. All the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, which made us feel great. The next day, when they asked about our needs, I just mentioned wanting two extra bottles of water, and when we returned to the room, there were six! We couldn't even finish them by check-out. The pool had quite a few kids playing in the afternoon, but it was well-managed. Breakfast was decent; there weren't a huge variety of dishes, but the staff managed it very orderly, always leading us to our seats. The public areas weren't large but were very clean and perfect for photos. In the evenings, there was a lively band playing on the lawn. The room balcony was very comfortable, and once the sliding door was closed, the room was super quiet and not noisy at all. Overall, it was a great experience, and my child had a fantastic time. I would definitely choose this place again. Thanks to Butler Jill for her warm service!
GGuest UserWe booked two family rooms. The rooms were quite spacious, and although the decor and style showed a bit of age, it still lived up to the quality of an established five-star hotel. The hotel grounds are huge with many pools, and the water quality is excellent; there's even a heated pool. The hotel offers plenty of family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo where you can feed small animals, making it perfect for kids.
Our butler, Di Dan, provided exceptionally thoughtful service. Every day, he proactively asked about our plans and what assistance we needed, always responding patiently no matter how late it was. Since my parents had difficulty walking, he promptly arranged an electric buggy for us. When our flight was delayed, he arranged a late check-out until 2 PM (I even saw other guests at the front desk being told late check-out wasn't possible due to the hotel being fully booked). We are especially grateful for Di Dan's service; our entire family was very satisfied with this trip!
