We booked a room here on our honeymoon tour around Scotland and it turned out to be the best hotel we stayed at in the country. Not only did the staff work so professionally, they were also so personable. As a treat for our honeymoon, the staff gave us a gift of chocolates in our room when we arrived with a honeymoon card, as well as a dessert when dining in the restaurant. The restaurant was one of our highlights, if you are staying in the hotel do not miss it. The food was delicious, very well seasoned, and presented beautifully. Moreover, the staff in the restaurant were also so helpful, giving suggestions and recommendations and giving attention to us without being overbearing. The room looked out over the lawn with the towns cathedral in the distance. There was both a bath and a shower, the television was modern with a clean image, there were plenty of free coffees, teas and snacks in the room, and the bed was very comfy indeed. Don’t miss breakfast! The great food from the dinner in the restaurant remains during breakfast time too! I will be returning. This is a very special hotel.

Touring Scotland so only one night stayed. Hotel old converted school. £10 night parking fee. Lots of stairs. No lift to floor 2 so cases up stairs. General run down looks inside but not sure if that's intentional? Just come from 2 immaculate stays so maybe tainted my stay. Bar shuts early. Mainly room was in need of upgrade / modernising ?? Bathroom door looked like lock had been knocked through and repaired. Cracks and plaster coming off ceiling . Holes in carpet. Table had glass cover but cup rings all over looked tacky. ( See pics for all) Ok. But overpriced at £160 odd we paid plus 10 parking. Maybe worth 40 less

Lovely hotel and delicious food. We loved the location and the pool area and facilities. Only issue we had was the heat. It was particularly mild for November and the staff weren’t able to adjust the temperature. We were given a dusty and broken fan to combat the heat but sadly no one came forward with an apology when we brought it to staff that we had to leave the window open wide all night to try combat the heat. I know it wasn’t the individuals fault but good customer service would apologise to the customer and none of the 4 staff we spoke to about it offered an apology and they seemed disgruntled about it too.

nice hotel , easy to check in ,nearby town , easy access , near to university and restaurant , have parking area , easy check out , room was nice , brekfast nice , and many more , will come back again. thanks

It was a lovely stop over on the way to the highlands and was dog friendly which was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, it was in a beautiful location , highly recommended
