Overall, a pretty terrible experience – definitely avoid this place: 1. I arrived at the hotel around 10 AM and was told I absolutely couldn't check in until 3 PM, with zero flexibility. 2. The hotel itself is quite low-end, and the management is very haphazard and chaotic. During the day, there were a bunch of workers doing what looked like painting or renovations, and the entire hallway reeked of banana oil. 3. After being out all day, I finally checked in around 11 or 12 PM. I had booked an executive room, but they immediately told me there was only one left, clearly trying to pull a fast one. Since I had my child with me and just wanted to rest, I didn't argue then. Later, I tried to claim a refund for the price difference through Ctrip, which was a very reasonable request. However, after Ctrip contacted the hotel, they actually lied and claimed they had offered me breakfast, which was a blatant falsehood. 4. The hotel's cleanliness was mediocre, and the facilities were quite subpar. When I checked in that night, there was a crowd of dirty-looking Sri Lankans lining up to check in. 5. The safe in the room lacked basic instruction labels. I tried to use it a couple of times and ended up locking my belongings inside. Around midnight, a staff member came to open it with a master code, then told me he was leaving and that I'd have to ask another staff member the next day for proper usage instructions. I took a few photos – seriously, steer clear of this place!

The room was very nice, the boss was very nice, and he also provided a rich breakfast. It is also very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. It's also very close to the city. The overall feeling of staying here is very relaxing!

The facilities were clean and tidy. The only downside was that I had completed the check-in process in the morning, but when I returned in the evening, it hadn't been done. At the previous hotel (Grand Chancellor Hobart), they even brought our luggage to the room with a similar process. Also, due to other cars in front of the hotel, the parking lot was very difficult to access. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the room's air conditioning, so it got cold in the early morning. Additionally, there weren't many TV services (which I wanted for the kids). I think this would be a very comfortable hotel for a regular trip.

Since other room types were fully booked, I ended up reserving a motel-style room in the annex building. The annex doesn't have an elevator and you have to walk down, which initially felt a bit eerie. However, I later found out the room had a window facing a courtyard, so it turned out to be okay. The facilities are quite basic and dated, but the water pressure is good and the price is relatively cheap. The best part is the free parking (parking on the second level is the most convenient).

This hotel is okay, a bit old-fashioned, but it's probably due to the Chinese New Year that the price is quite high. The town is very quiet and peaceful. There aren't many better hotel options in town, so overall it's a decent choice.

Extremely Terrible Experience – Inhumane & Unacceptable Service I am writing this review to strongly condemn this hotel’s extremely cold-blooded and unethical service, and to warn all travelers never to stay here. 1. Inhumane treatment of an elderly guest with serious health conditions Check-out time is 10:00 AM, which is already unreasonably early. It was raining heavily that day, with nowhere to go. My father, nearly 70 years old, with 3 heart stents and long-term hypertension, felt unwell and exhausted from the trip, and desperately needed to rest longer. I communicated politely multiple times and even offered to pay extra to extend check-out until 12:00 noon, but was ruthlessly refused every time. I had already checked out one of the two rooms early; I only asked to keep one room for my father to rest. The staff were extremely harsh, rigid, and totally lacking in empathy. They only allowed a 1-hour extension until 11:00 AM, and spoke to me in a very severe and accusatory tone, as if we had committed a mistake. 2. Severe service failure upon check-in I had asked Ctrip to inform the hotel 3 DAYS in advance that I booked two rooms, one requiring twin beds. However, I still had to wait 2 FULL HOURS for them to rearrange the beds on the day of check-in. 3. Extremely poor value for money I spent over HK$9,000 for two rooms for one night, only to receive zero care and respect for an elderly guest with serious medical conditions. This hotel has no compassion, no service ethics, no humanity. Absolutely unacceptable. During our recent stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel, we were fortunate to have the exceptional service provided by Tayla and Ebony, who truly went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. One of the highlights of our mornings was breakfast at Peppina, the hotel's on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu featured a delightful array of options, from freshly baked pastries to hearty, made-to-order dishes. Each meal was prepared with care and presented beautifully, making it a pleasure to start our day. The atmosphere at Peppina was equally inviting, with a charming decor that complemented the delicious food, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. In the evenings, we enjoyed drinks at Mary Mary, another fantastic venue within the hotel. The bar had a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic favorites and innovative creations crafted by skilled mixologists. Each drink we ordered was expertly made and beautifully garnished, adding to the overall experience. Overall, our stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel was a true testament to hospitality at its finest. The combination of exceptional service from Tayla and Ebony, along with delightful dining experiences at Peppina and Mary Mary, created a memorable getaway that we will cherish for a long time. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the outstanding care we received throughout our visit.

The room was very clean and had a strong Japanese style. The bathroom, however, was tiny! I'm not sure how larger foreigners manage to stay here; it felt like it would be hard to even wash your hair in the shower. Just something for others to consider. As for the bed, the large bed felt like two mattresses put together. Also, the duvet insert had a lot of pilling, and the duvet cover was a bit uncomfortable. If you're sensitive, I'd recommend bringing your own pajamas.

So glad my friends and I chose this hotel for our two-night stay. The king-size bed in the room was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was clean and soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The overall hygiene was excellent, and the facilities were very well-equipped.

The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.
