I stayed at this hotel twice during my trip, once in a beachside room and once in a sea-view room. This particular night, I booked a room directly accessible by elevator in the main building. My only minor disappointment was the low floor, just the 4th floor, but everything else was excellent.

The hotel's location is excellent. Not only is it the first stop for the SkyBus, but it also offers unbeatable sea views. The market, museum, and park are all within walking distance. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and the rooms are cleaned meticulously. The hotel breakfast is delicious, and there are many dining options nearby. In short, everything you need for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing is conveniently accessible. Plus, there's a self-service laundry room on the top floor, which was a lifesaver for our four or five-day stay. Check-out was also a breeze. You do need to bring your own slippers, though. I especially want to commend their room key booklet. Unlike other hotels that just give you a sleeve, theirs is a travel booklet filled with recommendations for great restaurants, tourist attractions, and even includes booking phone numbers and email addresses. They've put so much thought into it! We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit.
Room provides everything you need. Big space, comfy bed, towels, shower kit, fridge and microwave. Owner is very helpful with late check-in. Peaceful neighbourhood and located not far from shopping/food areas.

Fantastic trip and fantastic service at the Hilton Double Tree. Rooms and service were top-notch. Support from staff was fantastic too. My daughter hurt her foot in the pool and they sent her a little note and bar of chocolate which made her day - above and beyond. Our only complaint was the breakfast buffet was pretty average and with Hobart being such a vibrant bustling city of beautiful food they need to up their game. Everything was ok and a decent selection, however the hot food section was pretty poor and the sausages were like cardboard. Kids loved the cereal and fruits on offer so that was a bonus.

The hotel is very clean and the location is excellent. The only minor drawback is that the facilities, including the beds, are all very high, seemingly designed for someone around 175cm tall. There are no overhead or wall lights, only a few stylish floor lamps, which create a nice ambiance but are too dim. Another slightly inconvenient detail is the full-length mirror directly facing the bed on one of the walls. I feel like most Asians aren't too fond of that kind of mirror-facing-the-bed design.

The house is over 170 years old and is relatively well-maintained. However, there are inevitable inconveniences of old houses, such as the lack of an elevator.
Hygiene: It is quite clean and overall refreshing.
Service: The front desk closes at 5 o'clock, and the key is in the password box. You can ask for the password by sending an email or calling the phone on the door. Two breakfasts were given, which were quite rich, including croissant yogurt, fruit coffee, etc.

Best Western Plus is situated at a great and convenient location in the heart of CBS. it's within walking distance to almost all city attractions. the bed is v comfortable and facilities are good considering the room rate. it is also v close to the City Park, like 7 mins by walking, great to hv a run in the morning. The front desk staff are v friendly and helpful. Tamar Valley Cruise is 18 mins walking, you can book tickets online or buy it there.

Situated at a beautiful central location with easy access to many of the city's historic buildings, restaurants, and information centre.
Room and bedding were comfortable. Very prompt and courteous customer service
Potential safety hazard for kids with very hot water supply in the showers.
Continental buffet breakfast was good, and the kitchen as well as staff kept pace with the service. Has secure paid parking onsite.

GGuest UserAdequate for an airport hotel. Room large enough but on the dated side. Need shuttle to head to airport (not walkable).

GGuest UserWe had a really great stay. The whole area is just stunning, service also was great. Would highly recommend. We stayed in one of the ”pods”, those were quite small, but very comfy beds. I would imagine the bigger ones would be awesome
GGuest UserThe location is superb. The service and cleanliness were absolutely faultless, ensuring a very comfortable stay. If I ever return to Tasmania, this will undoubtedly be my top choice for accommodation. We enjoyed a view of the harbour, and it was very peaceful.

JJane ElizabethLovely clean rooms and nice coffee machine - always a pleasant surprise. Great shower too.
We enjoyed the little treats at coffee time too.
Only downside was the valet parking felt quite expensive and quite slow to retrieve your car when you need it. I can’t understand why it can’t be a self park facility but hey ho.
Lovely girl on reception very smiley and helpful.
MMattyFThe bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.
YYuzhihitomiAbsolutely loved this resort! Our cabin was very cozy thanks to the fireplace. The fireplaces at the front desk and in the restaurants also emitted a delightful woody scent. There were two restaurants: a main dining room for which we asked Ctrip to make a reservation in advance, and a more casual eatery where we could dine anytime. Both offered excellent food, and the prices were quite reasonable. Breakfast, while relatively simple, was perfectly adequate. The surroundings were absolutely breathtaking! We hiked all of their trails and spotted a lot of wildlife. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we get the chance!
