What I loved -Super big room with plenty of space. Very comfortable! -Free yukata and sleepwear were provided, and they were really comfortable to wear. -Loved the onsen experience! There are different onsen baths, and everything is connected indoors so you don't have to go outside. -Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing. So much variety, and the Aso milk was incredibly fresh and delicious. -The room had a beautiful view. Waking up to the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay. -Great place to relax, and I would definitely bring my family back next time. What could be better -The open-air parking lot is quite large, and some parking spaces are a bit far from the hotel lobby.

The resort location is accessible actually by bus from tateno 立野 station and the last bus is in the evening you may check the timetable online. We did not drive and leaving the accommodation is less convenient because all taxis were booked out but the staff was very friendly as to driving us to the nearby train station to continue our journey to Aso Volcano. Service was good. The private onzen was amazing and we were able to use it for one hour. The public bath was good too but the amenities they provided inside were not as enough, eg they don't have comb for ladies and make up removing pads. Other than that, cleanliness was amazing and staff were friendly, rooms had amazing Mountain View's.

It is the best place for hot springs. Parking is also extremely convenient. I would love to visit again with my family in the future, and I am very grateful for the detailed explanations from the staff member who speaks excellent Korean. You can see the river from the room, and when you open the window, you can hear the gentle sound of the water flowing. The building is unique, and just walking along the surrounding trails is a relaxing way to detoxify. I highly recommend the outdoor hot springs when it is cold, and the large public bath is great as it offers a variety of temperatures. I booked for one night, but I didn't have enough time to explore all the facilities and the surrounding scenery. On my next visit, I would like to book for two nights to look around more leisurely.

The hotel is okay, but quite old and outdated, so I'd say it should be cheaper for what they provide. Location is perfect for an overnight before your flight though. Stuff is friendly and helping, also they gift you a tasty ice cream. Hot bath also looks old, but it's a nice addition to relax before sleep, you can even watch the stars late evening in onsen. You can see the mountains from your window and lots of green houses) Breakfast cost is 1500 jpy, I didn't use this option. Overall everything was okay, but I believe they need to renovate rooms.

We were in the old building on the second floor and it seems they had some leakage problems. For instance, small flies like springtails were in the toilet room. I guess the new part of the hotel would be better. Also when the neighbours used the sink, the water came up in our sink. So I think in general the hotels plumbing could need some work. The rooms have a lovely view on the ocean.

I joined a day tour from Fukuoka to Kurokawa Onsen, but booked a room in Okunoyu in advance. Contacting the hotel beforehand ensured they would pick me up, and they could also drop me off at the station the next day, which was great. The room was quite large and clean. The hotel scenery was beautiful (I imagine all hotels in the mountains are beautiful). There was one indoor and one outdoor onsen bath; a women's outdoor bath was open in the evening, but I was too tired to go. Since I booked through Ctrip, meals weren't included. However, restaurants in this small town close very early, basically by 6 pm. So it's best if the hotel offers meals. Later I checked and found that booking on the official website allows you to choose a package with two meals included, which wasn't available on Ctrip. I'll learn from this experience and definitely book through the official Kurokawa Onsen website next time. They also have a wider selection of hotels.

This is our second year in a row staying here. It's surprisingly affordable for the New Year's holiday, offering great value for money. However, the facilities are a bit old; you have to lock the inner door for the main lock to work properly.😅 But the room itself is clean.

The location is relatively remote, making it more convenient to drive by yourself. The indoor and outdoor hot springs are separated. The manager of the dinner restaurant was quite rude and looked extremely impatient. Points were deducted in this regard.

The hotel facilities are good. It’s a small resort hotel. It’s far away. I took the triangle line from Kumamoto to the Delta. I wanted to take a ferry to get to the hotel. But when I asked about the ferry, I had to wait for more than an hour. I called a taxi. The hotel is 4,500 yen. The lounge chairs and hot springs on the balcony of the room are comfortable, the blue sea and blue sky hot springs, I really enjoyed it, and the dinner and breakfast are both Western-style. I like it very much. When I booked, I knew that there were dolphins nearby. However, when I asked Ctrip to ask if I could arrange to watch dolphins at sea, I was told that there was none. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that there are not only discounts, but also hotel guests can also have discounts, but because I was told that I could not arrange them, I had already booked through other channels, so I did not enjoy the discounted fare, which is not satisfactory.
