This hotel sits in a mall. It is situated very conveniently, walking distance to Jonker St and other food places. The Melaka river flows along it and get for taking walks. The amenities provided are bath towels and floor towel. No face or hand towels; provides toothbrush and toothpaste. No shower caps. There is no daily room cleanup though they will upon request. Actually, you need to request for any top u or add ons eg water, soap. No cable TV. Breakfast i think is good calue for money. You can take the lift to top of the hotel and have a bird's eye view of Malacca. (43fl) Service is acceptable. My TV could not get some channels. The service man came quite quickly but could not quite solve the problem. But i enjoyed my stay as though the room was quite spartan, it had sufficient for a simple stay.

Recently I had the pleasure of staying at The Majestic Malacca and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and well-maintained. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making my stay very relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, who were always ready to assist and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend The Majestic Malacca to anyone looking for quality accommodation. I look forward to my next visit!

We truly enjoyed our stay but not the lift. The family room is spacious, complete with bath tub and microwave, also complimentary drinks. Three bedrooms that can fit my family of seven and have space for the kids and baby ran around. Netflix and YouTube Channel, perfect for our little Stay at hotel vibes. But I think the in- room service is really important. We don't plan on going out to have dinner so we thought we could just order from the in room dining but apparently the hotel doesn't offer it. But we just ordered from Grab and it is not disappointing. Basic amenities like toothbrush, shower cream were also prepared. The pool and kids pool is huge but there are too many people staying at the hotel as well as The Shore (cause they share amenities) and the towel is not enough. We have to wait but the frustrating part is my room accommodated 5 adults but only 2 pool towels were allowed to be taken. Maybe the hotel could revise this rule. The picture shows only the third room (where I was sleeping). It is spacious and great for a single person and not to mention the table for working space. Ah, the down side like I mentioned, the lifts. It took forever for us to get to our room and to check out. But then again it's the holiday season, so the hotel was full, so I'll be understanding this time

My stay here with my family was a pleasant one. We arrived by bus, and the bus stop was conveniently located just about a 5-minute sheltered walk from the hotel. We reached the hotel around noon and were fortunate that our room was already available for check-in. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It even had two TVs, which was a nice touch. The view from the room was excellent, overlooking many of Melaka's popular attractions. The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was decent, with the menu changing daily. The sambal tumis and teh tarik were particularly enjoyable and became our favorites. One of the hotel's biggest strengths is its location. It is situated close to shopping malls and major tourist attractions, making it easy to get around. We were even able to take a trishaw from the riverside cruise area back to the hotel at a very reasonable price. The only downside during our stay was the air conditioning. In the room initially assigned to us, the air conditioner was not cooling effectively. After reporting the issue to the front desk, a technician arrived promptly to address it. However, the cooling was still not as strong as expected. When I reported the issue again, the hotel quickly arranged for us to move to another room, where the air conditioning was noticeably better. I also noticed that the air conditioning in certain areas of the breakfast venue was not very strong, and fans were used to help cool the space. Some of my relatives who have stayed at the hotel shared similar experiences regarding the air conditioning. Given how hot the weather in Melaka can be, I believe it may be time for the hotel management to review and upgrade the air conditioning system. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, and it was a great short getaway for the kids. I would definitely consider staying here again and hope that the air conditioning issues will be resolved by our next visit.

Our family of four from Singapore recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka during the Vesak Day long weekend for a short getaway, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Check-in and check-out were exceptionally efficient, allowing us to maximise our holiday time. What truly stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. Every staff member we encountered was approachable, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna were all well-maintained and provided a great way to relax after a day of exploring Melaka. We particularly appreciated how the team regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. It is this level of personalised service that sets the hotel apart. As parents travelling with teenagers, we were pleasantly surprised to find warm food available late at night when our children got hungry. This was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch. Considering the quality of the facilities, service, and overall experience, the hotel offers excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return on our next visit to Melaka. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay in Melaka.

The hotel was clean and tidy, but they didn't refill the soap. I had to call twice for an iron and board to be delivered. Everything seemed to require two calls to arrive at the door. The hotel food and pool were good, and the location was also fine. The only slight hassle was having to get a stamp for the parking ticket every time we wanted to leave. We made an effort to buy swimming attire for the pool as requested, only to find many people swimming in regular clothes! I'm really unhappy about this! Please, management, ensure everyone follows the rules!

Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel’s facilities and family-friendly environment. However, I would not recommend staying during peak season due to the long waiting time for room allocation. Although check-in was at 3:30 PM, we only received our room between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. While guests were allowed to enjoy the facilities and complimentary light refreshments while waiting, the delay was challenging, especially for young children who were already tired after travelling. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was below expectations. It appeared that housekeeping was rushing to prepare rooms. There was visible dust and small pieces of rubbish on the floor, the shower gel bottle was completely empty and had not been refilled, and the balcony had not been swept. Most concerning was finding a Charlie ant near the curtain. That said, I would like to compliment the hotel manager for the prompt response when we requested additional bottled drinking water. The service recovery was appreciated. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was delicious. Parking was convenient, and the facilities were excellent, making the hotel highly suitable for families with young children. In conclusion, the housekeeping standards and room waiting time require significant improvement. However, the food, parking, and facilities were excellent. The location is slightly outside Malacca city centre, with most tourist attractions approximately 15–20 minutes away by car.

I promise this review is honest and unfiltered... This was my first stay in Malacca, and I’m so grateful for this newly renovated hotel that gave us a sense of safety and comfort. We ended up extending our stay by 2 more nights because we loved Malacca so much, for a total of 4 nights. Here’s my overall feedback, hope it helps anyone coming to Malacca: - The hotel is in a great location, seemingly in a Chinese area with no run-down surroundings. It’s only about 2+ km to Jonker Street, super close—Grab rides cost just a few ringgit. Taxis are easy to get, and there are bell staff at the entrance who can help with anything you need. - The renovation is new, easily 4-star standard, and really comfortable. Clean, fresh, with all the essentials. Rooms with balconies are amazing—my partner could smoke freely, just remember to close the windows to follow hotel rules. There are waiting sofas in every floor corridor, which is really thoughtful, plus air purifiers and air coolers too. - Downstairs there’s a seafood restaurant, a Western bar, a noodle shop, a Sichuan restaurant, and even a Chaoshan beef hot pot place. We tried almost all of them, and they’re all pretty good. The fish at the seafood restaurant was excellent—pricier, but worth it for the quality. - The hotel service is the part I need to comment on. It’s inconsistent—some staff are lovely, others lack service awareness. For example, there was a Malay bellboy who was always cheerful and helped open doors every day. But the front desk staff were sometimes unenthusiastic, and calls to them weren’t always smooth. The staff at the pool also weren’t very friendly. - Breakfast is okay! The butter should really be replaced with animal-based butter 🧈! If the hotel is open to feedback, please improve the front desk and overall service to match the standard set by the friendly bellboy. My stay at this hotel was fairly decent for a short trip. The location was convenient, and I appreciated the free outdoor parking provided for guests. However, the cleanliness could definitely be improved. The bedsheet did not seem properly changed, and there was a brownish stain in the middle of the bed, which affected the overall comfort of the stay. There was also an incident during the night when the safety box suddenly started beeping unexpectedly. Thankfully, after calling the front desk, the staff responded very quickly and came to solve the problem professionally, which I appreciated.
