## Hygiene and Service: The hotel has a policy that guests must put out a 'clean my room' sign before 10 AM each day for full housekeeping. Otherwise, only towels and trash bags will be replaced. Even with full cleaning, it's just a basic tidying up; linens and pillowcases are not changed. ## Location: It's a bit far from Osaka JR Station, but you can get there directly via bus #88. There's a convenience store downstairs, but not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. ## Facilities: There's a public bath (which is also open to the public, so it can get very crowded in the evenings). On the first floor, the lobby offers soda, coffee, and an ice machine for guests to use at any time.

My partner said the hotel offered the best breakfast out of our three nights in Japan. It had a great variety of both Western and Asian dishes. I joined the first session of the premium lounge in the evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the curation of different side dishes to pair with wine, cocktails, sake, and more. It’s a bit unfortunate that access is limited to one hour, but I understand the policy. The public bath was good, though the women’s bath was missing a Finnish sauna. The steam sauna also had a slight smell. The staff were very kind and kept our luggage until the evening before we caught our bus.

”Hotel Monterey La Soeur Osaka is a fantastic choice! With an impressive 8.3/10 rating on Agoda and 4/5 on Tripadvisor, this hotel consistently impresses guests with its exceptional staff, well-appointed facilities, and comfortable stay. Located in the heart of Chuo, Osaka, it's close to popular landmarks like Grand Front Osaka and Osaka Castle. The hotel's amenities, including a restaurant, spa center, and sauna, make it an ideal spot for relaxation. Highly recommended!”

The hotel's location is pretty good, about a 10-minute walk from Rinku-town Station. The hot spring bath is comfortable and wasn't too crowded. You can self-check-in at the hotel or do it online in advance, which saves a lot of time. This is my second stay here, and overall, I highly recommend it.

This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Japan. First, the location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the subway station. It's also very close to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. There's a hot spring on the top floor of the hotel, which is perfect for unwinding after a long day. Although the room isn't huge, it was still possible to open and lay flat two 28-inch suitcases, which is decent, even if it can't compare to hotels back home.

Good value for money hotel. APA hotels are always reliable because you know what you are getting. The public bath after a long winter's day was everything. I put some tips below for first timers. Pros: Public bath, the best part about this hotel. I have been to an actual onsen in a way more secluded place but it was almost better having a lot of people in the bath because everyone just minds their business - I recommend it even if you are shy. TV, has streaming services and it logs you out automatically when you check out, contains useful information such as public bath crowd levels, how to use the baths, safety information, weather etc. Large mirror by desk area with lights for makeup or work and full length mirrror too. Shoe horn was so handy. Good ammenities. 7 eleven on 4F by the baths, with smoothie machine. Near Namba station, Dontonbori and a lot of stores - perfect location for day trips and last minute shopping before a flight. Cons: Area can feel a bit intimidating to walk alone at night alone, I got approached by a man on the way back from Dontonbori (around 9pm, so wasn't even too late), he had difficultly taking no for an answer so I was constantly watching my back after that - just be cautious as always, ladies. Take into account waiting time at traffic lights, it can be very long if you are in a hurry with suitcases. Impersonal experience, you do most things yourself like check in/out (understandable because of the size) but it would have been nice to be greeted when leaving and coming. Tips: Get the airport limousine, drops you right by the hotel. Baths are more crowded late at night. Watch the videos on the TV for public bath rules and how to put on the yukata. Undress (wear underwear if you feel uncomfortable) and wear the yukata (tie it properly so it doesn't come undone) wiith the black outer jacket and black slippers. Tie your hair up (I used a claw clip) so it does not fall on your shoulders. Use the big plastic bag they give to carry your things in when you go to the bath. I just packed both a big and small towels provided, a hairbrush, fresh undies and my key card - toiletries are provided. Some girls did bring a change of clothes. You can unlock the bath entrance with your keycard. There are lockers with a wristband key to store your stuff after you undress and a water fountain. Only bring your locker key and the small towel into the shower room. If you are shy, you can use the small towel to cover your parts as you walk. Have a quick, hot shower before you enter the bath pools. Don't submerge the small towel, place on or tie around your head. After you bathe, you can properly wash yourself then dry yourself using the small towel before going to your locker. There is also a getting ready station after you change to dry hair and put on lotion.

## Pros: Conveniently located near Osaka Metro's Kitahama Station🚇, just two stops from the Umeda shopping district, and not far from Shinsaibashi. While there aren't many restaurants directly around the hotel, it's primarily surrounded by office buildings and financial institutions, adjacent to the Osaka Stock Exchange. ## Cons: Some staff members were very professional, such as a young gentleman who spoke Chinese. However, some staff had an indifferent attitude, like a middle-aged woman in the restaurant. A few individual employees displayed poor service, lacked a service-oriented mindset, and provided a very unsatisfactory experience – for instance, a young, slender Japanese female employee with her hair in a bun. I hope not to be served by her again. ## Facilities: ① The windows can be opened to a certain degree, which is very useful for regularly ventilating the room and preventing a musty smell. ② The room is small, but the layout is cleverly designed and generally quite functional. However, the shower area is too cramped, making it difficult to turn around, which negatively impacts the user experience. ## Suggestions: It would be great if the breakfast variety could be rotated every 1-2 days, and if the entry cutoff time could be adjusted to 09:30.

I absolutely love the Imperial Hotel Osaka! It's so close to Umeda, yet incredibly peaceful with beautiful views. From my window, I could see the Okawa River, amphibious tour buses (or cars!), and the pier. Taking a walk by the river and clearing my mind was incredibly therapeutic. I heard the hotel is almost fully booked for cherry blossom season, and I can only imagine how stunning it must be then! Speaking of the hotel, it truly lives up to its reputation as an established brand. The service is impeccable. There are seven restaurants within the hotel, each with its own unique charm. This time, I tried the Jasmine Chinese restaurant and the Western bar. The Chinese restaurant served some of the most authentic Chinese food I've had in Japan, though I was disappointed not to try the recommended lobster – it was sold out that day. The Western bar, however, was absolutely delicious, fairly priced, and the service was excellent. The hotel makes you feel cared for at all times, without ever being intrusive. The staff are incredibly discreet and attentive.

Overall, it was great! The facilities are complete, the price is good, and the location is excellent, right next to the train station with a convenience store downstairs and directly accessible from the station exit. You can also enjoy the hot springs 24 hours a day. It's very good, though the breakfast was a bit awkward – I went at 9:28 and was told it was no longer available.

This hotel is soooo new and they have an aircon (so we can adjust the temperature easily and switch from heating to cooling easily if we want). The location is the at heart of namba, there are so many things to do around it, easily accessible metro stations and a direct line to KIX. The hotel service was excellent, they helped me receive parcels and cleaned the rooms really well. I would rate the service 10/10. We love their shower head too (so functional and interesting). Highly recommend this place! They don’t have a lot of rooms, so book them before all sold out!

AAnonymous UserThe room was quite spacious, as advertised online. However, the sofa by the window sill didn't appear very clean under the lighting. The hotel offers a public bath and is conveniently located near Universal Studios. It was promoted as being the closest to the subway station, and one of the slightly more distant options from Universal itself. But in practice, all the hotels in this area are just a short walk from one another. With restaurants, 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Starbucks nearby, it's very convenient. The best part about staying near Universal is being able to enjoy the park until its 10 PM closing time, then grab a late dinner nearby before heading back to the hotel to unwind.

VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

GGuest UserThis hotel exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, making it a perfect place to unwind. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help with a warm smile. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and truly great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return again.

33001152460I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but I decided to book it anyway because of the location, and I'm so glad I did! The rooms are big and clean, and housekeeping is very quick and efficient. The location is fantastic, right opposite Daimaru. Once you get your bearings, you can get to Hankyu via the underground passage really quickly without having to go above ground at all, which is also great for places like LUCUA and GRAND FRONT. A taxi to the Glico Man sign in Shinsaibashi and the Kani Doraku main branch only cost 2400 JPY. The only minor issue was that I booked two rooms and specifically requested no corner rooms, but we ended up with one at each end of the hallway. Luckily, the elevator to the first room requires a turn, so we weren't disturbed by any noise at night. The breakfast isn't super extensive, but it has all the essentials, so overall I'm very satisfied.

XXiaoxiaoxiaoxiaolaotouThe hotel's location is convenient, about 1km from the commercial center's Daimaru and Hankyu department stores, and around 600m from the subway station. The room facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are enthusiastic. Breakfast is well-organized with orderly queuing, though the variety of dishes is just average.

MM256301****This hotel has very clear pros and cons. Pros: Excellent location (just a short walk over the bridge to the airport) and extremely comprehensive amenities. Great value for money. There's also a convenience store and restaurant downstairs. Cons: Not soundproof or light-proof, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Cleanliness: Very good and clean. Amenities: Extremely well-equipped with a communal bath, showers, water dispenser, washing machine, and restrooms. It's small but has everything you need, including pajamas, towels, and various toiletries.

YYouzhe44This Dormy Inn, located at a subway exit, unfortunately has no elevator, which makes transferring at Osaka Station quite a hassle when you're out exploring. This time, I also encountered a group tour, which made the overall experience less than ideal. I'll definitely have to reconsider staying at a Dormy Inn in the future; it's not as good as it used to be.

JJamieeeeeeeeMy husband and I came to Osaka, Japan, for the third leg of our honeymoon shopping trip! We booked a Fantastic Suite at the W, and the location was superb – very close to Dotonbori, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel knew it was our honeymoon and thoughtfully prepared small desserts and a greeting card in our room beforehand. They even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade during check-in, which was absolutely delightful. The suite itself was very spacious, boasting 180-degree corner floor-to-ceiling windows that offered stunning views, whether during the day or at night. The hotel is a striking black building, quite prominent in Osaka, and even the bathrobes were black. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day, and they also provided us with W's special facial masks. Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

AAmanzhol YestekovLocals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual. There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths: two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C. You dip in and instantly feel alive. One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying. There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient. Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day. The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience. They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt. You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything. Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy. Downsides? A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM. If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day. Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay. Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.
