Beautiful staycation. Have been wanted to try this classic and the oldest hotel in Malacca for so long and my husband decided to stay here for me and my son’s birthday this year. Very good location literally 5 minutes away from all the attractions, 5 minutes to Jonker Walk & museums. The services also very impressive. They provided small yummy chocolate cake and deco for our birthdays inside the room. My husband also got assisted with his wheelchair as he was just one week post op. Breakfast were ala carte style but you can have unlimited orders. Malacca curry noodles was yummy! Swim pool also simple but super nice my kids love it. The room deco was classic and everything was perfect! Had a great staycation here and even recommended it to our family members. Thank you Majestic Malacca for our beautiful family staycation 😊
Clean and quiet hotel . Spacious and all amenities are available . There is a capsule coffee machine in the room . But no cakes were sent to room as promised from the crew - for birthday celebration . Poor front desk service , a bit slow and unfriendly . Used to stay here several times but this time was not that pleasant . Check - in 3/7 @ 8.30pm ( the front desk lady was rude ) . Hope the hospitality service may be improved .

The hotel located in a short walk to restaurants, shops, and popular attractions. Very convenient for sightseeing without needing a car
Parking is very limited, and the spaces are extremely tight. Drivers of larger vehicles will find it challenging.
While the air conditioning eventually worked, it took quite a long time for the room to feel comfortably cool. This might be uncomfortable on hotter days. There also some stains on bedsheet.
Very nice and clean hotel. However, there were hiccups during check in. Check in time indicated is 3pm. We arrived at 4pm but was told that room not ready. Have to wait for 1 hour to get room allocation. So we brought the kids to the hotel’s playground and went back down to the reception 1 hour later only to be told to wait another 20minutes. After waiting for MORE THAN 20 minutes (with no staff at the reception at all) we went to enquire again. Was informed that we will be served next (after the current guest). So we waited again… in total, we waited about 2 hours just to get room keys. By then, our plans were all ruined due to the wait. We did not have time to explore Malacca Town as we have planned as it was a long weekend and we had to leave early the following day to avoid the traffic jam on the highway. All in all, the hotel is nice but the managing of the check in is terrible! 2 hours wasted just like that… if the reception staff informed us that it will take more than 2 hours to get the keys, perhaps we would not have waited at the hotel and proceed to town first. Hope to see improvement in this aspect

This is my extended stay at this hotel. The place may be a little dated, but the staff truly do their best to offer great service. The room is spacious, well-equipped with complete amenities, and includes a sofa with a nice view. The rate is very affordable compared to other hotels.

The place is furnished with beautiful antique furnitures, it is good if you love antique Chinese furnitures and get photos. Crews are very friendly and helpful, location is good, 1 min walk to jonker street. The room however is very basic, quite small and you could say old. Sprung mattress where you can feel the spring and the bed creeks when you move. Aircond and water heater was ok. There’s no bidet in toilet. Amenities are good. A very very basic room.
Overall, if you want to take nice photos, yes. Room wise, don’t expect too much.
Added value, free buffet breakfast, nice 👍

I stayed for 3D2N at Rm 323. For the price paid , I expected more from Casa Del Rio Melaka Hotel. Such as :
1. The lock for the sliding door to the balcony is faulty. I didn’t feel safe sleeping.
2. The shower glass door is mouldy, the moldy rubber gasket could be easily replaced.
3. While showering, the Floor trap was apparently choked, water level rose to almost my ankle.
4. Bathroom floor is not clean. Corner of wall is stained both on the floor & wall.
5. WC flush is also very slow in clearing the waste. Obviously there’s choke that’s not being cleared.
6. Window & Door not sound proof. I was awaken by the sound of the fire crackers , pyrotechnics. I couldn’t sleep.
It’s obvious housekeeping didn’t clean / sanitise thoroughly before giving green light for guest to check in.
I liked the fact that it’s located by the Malacca river. I appreciated that the maintenance swiftly cleared the choke in the shower area after I highlighted to front desk. I also liked that hotel provide shuttle to Dataran Palawan. I appreciate that hotel allowed us late check out in order for me to perform my prayer.
If I come to stay at Casa del Rio again, it is because of its location.
Overall is good.the staff also nice.breakfast is good too...my room is big and good enough for our small family.there are 1 queen+3 single bed for price below rm300..worth for money

This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel. It’s a building by itself with own compound. Ample parking space. It is build beside a cruise ship jetty(not sure if it’s in operation). Room is big, have all the amenities needed. Hair dryer, tooth brush, shampoo etc. The shampoo is Dove brand which is good as it has moisturizer. Bed is super big and comfortable, water pressure is good and air conditioning is not noisy. We had a good night sleep here. A few POI are walkable. Jonker street will be a little far (about 20 mins easy walk). Opposite is a shopping center. Overall is a good hotel to stay.

MMiniteoGreat location, clean and has all the amenities needed. Breakfast has a good selection. Friendly staff. A popular hotel.
CchrischiewhjWe stay here for 2 nights in SuperiorRoom. The resort is big and have a very grand lobby welcoming you. Surprisingly thr room size is bigger than other hotel. However, we been greeted with an unclean washroom. There are some leftover rubbish by the previous occupant, and the housekeeping did not clean it. Hence we felt the housekeeping team need to keep up to their standards. Breakfast choice is quite a lot indeed, however the taste is not up to our standard. Not to forget this hotel have a very luxurious swimming pool and kid pool. Those with families and kids can make use of this opportunity to bring their kids for a great swim. Overall, we would rate this hotel 4 out 5. There is still a place to improve.
