Nice resort, ideal for families or those who want a quieter spot away from the centre. Easy to get to centre by bus or uber. Lots of tour operators will pick up from resort for their activities. Clean rooms with daily housekeeping. Fridge and kettle in room. Bar and simple food available all week. Pizza restaurant Friday til Sunday. 3 nice pools. Very chilled out atmosphere. Would recommend

The environment here is absolutely impeccable, I must say. The lobby, rooms, pool, and rooftop restaurant are all beautifully decorated. As for the facilities, they're also excellent. Being a new hotel, everything is very modern. However, the bathroom has one major drawback: there's nowhere to put your phone if you're in the toilet area. Cleanliness is very good. Rooms are only cleaned if you notify the front desk daily, and that 'clean room' light doesn't seem to do much. Service, though, was just mediocre. The staff at the rooftop restaurant, in particular, had a terrible attitude, acting completely uninterested. The front desk staff were quite good at check-in, but poor communication during shift changes led to a significant amount of money being unjustly charged to my credit card. I only discovered this because I noticed the unreasonable charges in time. It took involving Trip.com and my bank to resolve it, especially since the charges happened 3 days after I had already left the hotel, with no email notification whatsoever. If I hadn't been vigilant, I wouldn't have known about these losses, as they only appear on the statement – this is truly awful. There's even one charge I'm still unclear about, but it's too late to investigate further. So, when staying at this hotel, you absolutely need to keep a close eye on your bill! This whole ordeal even affected my subsequent vacation, as I spent every day trying to sort this out!

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided. No toothbrushes. As there's no daily housekeeping, you can request fresh towels and tissues from the front desk. They provided beach towels, bath towels, face towels, small towels, and a bath mat. The location is good; it's about a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk to the downtown area. The pool is open from 7 AM to 10 PM. There's a free water cooler. The front desk had a Japanese staff member who was very kind! A shuttle bus from the airport costs $25 one-way, while Uber is around $100, so I recommend booking the shuttle bus online in advance. Buying a round-trip ticket saves you about $5. The price was reasonable, it was clean, and the location was great, making it convenient in many ways. Overall, 100 points!

The location is fantastic! It's very close to the train station, bus station, and ferry terminal, and just a 3-minute walk to South Bank Park. Service: I really have to complain about the service. I booked for four nights, and on one of those days, the room wasn't cleaned, even after I specifically reminded the front desk. The cleaning generally was quite sloppy; tea-stained cups weren't replaced, with tea stains clearly visible, and the bathroom faucet was covered in water marks. We were quite surprised to find such service and hygiene standards in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is à la carte with limited portions, one Western-style breakfast per person, which isn't really suitable for Chinese palates. We asked the hotel if we could cancel breakfast for the last two days, and they replied that it wasn't an issue for the hotel, but since we booked online, we'd need to coordinate with the third-party booking site. Although Trip.com actively tried to mediate, the hotel still refused. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Chinese travelers.

CCrouching Koala Hidden EmuStayed at the Wyndham in Surfers Paradise for a family weekend away and overall it was a solid choice. As Gold Coast locals we didn’t really need the constant upsell on tours and activities, but I can see how interstate or overseas visitors would find that useful. The location is the real strength here — easy walking distance to Cavill Avenue, directly opposite Q1, and the observation deck nearby was great for the family. Very convenient without needing to constantly drive around Surfers. Our king-sized room was spacious, comfortable and worked well travelling with a young family. The hotel itself felt clean and well maintained. One thing worth noting for visitors is that the Hamilton Street beach entrance is still showing the effects of Cyclone Alfred from 2024, so beach access in that immediate area is not quite back to normal yet. That’s obviously outside the hotel’s control, but useful for travellers planning beach days. Overall, a good stay if you want a central Surfers Paradise base with plenty within walking distance.

Ssuper fishWe stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

JJoannaYan****The location is fantastic, right at the end of the main shopping street. You can literally just walk downstairs and you're there. We were able to walk to several attractions from the hotel. The front desk for check-in is shared by two hotels, which wasn't very clearly indicated, and I was quite anxious while waiting in line. It's a pretty big hotel with lots of guests, and no matter which building you're in, there's always an elevator out of order. It seems like they always have to have one of the three elevators shut down for maintenance.

GGuest UserAn absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserFirst and foremost, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's incredibly convenient for transportation and very close to the city center and major attractions, making getting around a breeze. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice. The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy, and the lobby is spacious and bright. The front desk staff are warm, professional, and courteous; they proactively greet guests every time, making you feel right at home. Check-in and check-out were also incredibly efficient, with virtually no waiting time, making the entire process very smooth. The room layout is well-designed, offering ample space and excellent natural light. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, fully equipped, and the toiletries were of good quality. What pleasantly surprised me most was the excellent soundproofing in the room – I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, allowing for a truly peaceful rest. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, catering to all tastes. The servers were also very attentive, proactively asking if guests needed assistance, which left a very positive impression. I also had the chance to experience the hotel's gym and swimming pool this time. Both were well-equipped and well-maintained, with a very clean and relaxing environment. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is comfortable and quiet, perfect for unwinding and rejuvenating. In summary, this is a high-quality hotel with excellent service, complete facilities, and a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it for both business trips and family vacations. Next time I visit this city, I will definitely choose to stay here again!

AAnonymous UserI was mostly happy with the resort. There were some things missing like more food options (only two restaurants) and small luxuries like a sauna for example. It’s also hard to rate the staff as you had some incredibly helpful staff and then some real depressing ones that were just rude. The only other thing that was a bit of a shock was that the beaches were just full of dead coral and no sand. I hadn’t been to one of the islands in the Whitsundays so I was surprised to see that. The photos of the resort did not show this so it would have been nice to know so it didn’t lead to disappointment. Some positives though is that the resort was beautifully designed and they offered a lot of free water activities like kayaking for example. The buffet breakfast was also really nice.

GGuest User1. **Prime Location:** Just a 3-minute walk to the beach, with the G:link light rail station right at the doorstep. It's a 5-minute stroll to Cavill Avenue, a bustling pedestrian street packed with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. A taxi to the airport takes about 25 minutes. 2. **Amenities & Experience:** Modern rooms, many with private balconies (sea or city views available). Features include an outdoor pool, spa, sauna, and gym. Dining options include Fables restaurant and Tales bar. Free and stable WiFi is provided. The downsides are that some facilities feel a bit dated, and street-facing/lower-floor rooms can experience noise from nearby bars on weekends. Parking is paid and limited. 3. **Service:** 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff who can assist with booking theme park tickets and excursions. Luggage storage is seamless. A credit card deposit is required at check-in. 4. **Ideal For:** Couples, families, and budget-conscious business travelers. During peak season, it's recommended to book an inner, higher-floor room in advance.
