The hotel room was clean, spacious, and clearly recently renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage safely in a locked baggage room. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with clean and very attractive pool areas surrounded by lush plants. In the early evening, you can even see fruit bats flying over the property, which adds a special touch to the atmosphere. The hotel is a bit further away from the city centre, but only 15min from the airport.

I was booking at trip.com, but I was likely to be pulled down by a bank card without confirming at check-in. When I told you that I had already finished payment many times, I finally went to the back room to confirm. There is also a casino on the first floor and it is noisy with the explosion until midnight. Although it was due to heavy rain, the floor of the room was soaked and all the bags were wet.

Hotel is next to star ****** and walking distance to board beach. Hotel is looking pretty new and in fact, has been opened for few years. The only down side was the house keeping on one of the night. We booked for 3 rooms for 3 nights, on the first day, the house keeping was completely messed up. 3x Rooms did make up (partly) with soil towels (one of the room only has bed tidy up, nothing else) and etc were collected, however, no cleaned towels replaced, bin still full. Without this drama, this hotel is good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5‑Star Review: Pacific Hotel Cairns We had an excellent stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. Max at the front desk was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. Mila was also wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, spacious, and brightly lit, with a comfortable layout and a balcony that opened to lovely views. The location couldn’t be better: easy walking distance to major tour departure points, the Esplanade, and many great restaurants. The convenience of a self‑service laundry room was another big plus during our travels. Overall, this hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns.

We had a great stay here. My parents had also booked to stay as we were travelling together and even though an earlier email had told us we couldn’t room closer due to being full booked, on arrival the lovely gentleman checking us in moved my parents closer. Also happy to pop a microwave and toaster in the room (small fee) which was handy for heating little one’s meals and making her toast for breakfast. Had a great bath too! We dined at the restaurant and the staff were ver helpful also.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. This wasn’t a bad stay by any means- just had a certain feel to it we didn’t like. The property itself has a really strong smell of old wood and beer, which is quite a lot to get used to. The rooms are decent sized, however did find that 7 rooms to one toilet and shower was a little hard to navigate at times. The toilet also constantly had the windows locked open which meant that people walking past outside could see in and be heard which is a little unsettling where privacy is concerned. The room itself had quite a few baby cockroaches in, and after looking found full insect traps in the room so suspect this may be an ongoing issue. The blinds over the windows were very loose also, meaning when laid in bed at night you could see both in and out of our room which was also slightly unsettling. Our room was equipped with a sink, kettle, and fridge which came in handy. The stay was okay and did us for the price, very historic and lots of images on the walls demonstrating so.

Fantastic hotel!!! I come to many hotels and this was by far the most beautiful thing I visited. Everything was very clean and very friendly welcome. From here you can explore the whole city without distant travel. Directly from the hotel you also have a walking bridge to South Banks. In the hotel you also have the sky deck with a great view of the city. Highly recommended

Room was pretty good, check in process was a little slow but staff were very apologetic, loved the info and links via text, unfortunately no wifi details were left on the desk (I didn't ask or complain tho cuz I had my own internet). The only real downer was I went to the bistro for dinner and the footy was on super loud and I really couldn't enjoy my meal and when I complained and asked if this was the bistro my concerns about how loud it was were completely dismissed. The also had a sports bar so I don't understand why the bistro had to be so loud. I thought it was a bit rich being charged $2 for a takeaway container despite the fact i couldn't sit and enjoy my meal due to the footy (qld teams weren't even playing either). Otherwise everything else was good.

Stayed here twice. First time was really good, the second time the room had still some rubbish. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms quiet. Location is great, close to mega mall and public transport. Breakfast was simple - no cheese or yogurt - but ok. The only negative thing is the WiFi. It is slow and hangs sometimes. It also has a minimal quota.

GGuest UserThis hotel in Cairns seems relatively new, but it's not great value for money. I booked a sea view room, which was completely unnecessary as it overlooks a murky lagoon that exposes mudflats at low tide. The room was quite spacious, but it had a damp, musty smell. They only provide two bottles of water per day, and they're in glass bottles, which made me seriously suspect the staff just refilled them with tap water. If you run out, you have to go to the first floor to get drinking water, which also tasted like tap water. On the first day, the tissue box ran out after only two tissues, but thankfully it was refilled the next day. Breakfast is mainly Western style, and the location is convenient, as you can walk to restaurants, the wharf, and other places!

TTaishanshendiaoxialvHotel location: Super convenient, right outside is George Square and Queen Street. You can even see the clock tower of the square from your room. Truly irreplaceable. Hardware facilities: The space isn't huge, but the facilities are quite complete. Although it's an old hotel, the cleanliness is still good. Service: We stayed for 2 nights and noticed there was only one bottle of milk. We told the staff, and they immediately brought a whole pack, which was great. However, the bathroom fan was broken. We called maintenance, and they came to look at it but couldn't fix it on the spot, saying they'd come back the next afternoon. But when we returned to our room late the next evening, it still wasn't fixed, and we weren't informed why. This needs improvement.

GGuest User⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall stay at Brisbane Marriott We recently stayed at the Brisbane Marriott  for my daughters 21st and were genuinely impressed by how lovely the hotel is and how amazing the staff were. The warm, welcoming service started from the moment we arrived at valet parking and continued throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and did their best to assist us. The rooms themselves were nice and comfortable, although we did notice some wear and tear, particularly with the bathroom and bedroom cabinetry which was scratched and broken. The beds also felt quite small for two adults and made sleeping a little squishy. Our biggest concern, however, was the air-conditioning. When we first walked into the room it was set at 18 degrees, which we thought would be perfect—especially with four girls getting ready, expecting a cool room so our makeup wouldn’t melt. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The room felt like a hot box from the start. The staff were fantastic and came to check and reset the system twice, but by the time we returned at 1am, it was still extremely hot. It was uncomfortable enough that one of our group decided to go home because she couldn’t sleep in the heat. At that hour, there was also no one at the front desk to seek further assistance from. We did mention this at checkout, as we genuinely expected that a well-known, reputable hotel like the Marriott would not have such an issue with air-conditioning. It was disappointing, as everything else—from the service to the overall atmosphere—was lovely. Massive shout out to the male staff member who collected our bags both at arrival and departure (sorry wasn’t able to recall you name) you are a great asset to the hotel!! With improvement to the room cooling, this would have been a fantastic stay. The staff truly are the highlight of the hotel.

GGuest UserDay dream island is an excellent place for holiday. Manuel was excellent in front of the desk quickly called us after the room is ready. Also on the day manager was great and he gave us great sea view room. Immaculate room with great views. Also we went to infinity restaurant for the dinner and Martina who served us was exceptional. She recommended great cuisine which was authentic. Great place and great service.

GGuest User1. **Prime Location:** Just a 3-minute walk to the beach, with the G:link light rail station right at the doorstep. It's a 5-minute stroll to Cavill Avenue, a bustling pedestrian street packed with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. A taxi to the airport takes about 25 minutes. 2. **Amenities & Experience:** Modern rooms, many with private balconies (sea or city views available). Features include an outdoor pool, spa, sauna, and gym. Dining options include Fables restaurant and Tales bar. Free and stable WiFi is provided. The downsides are that some facilities feel a bit dated, and street-facing/lower-floor rooms can experience noise from nearby bars on weekends. Parking is paid and limited. 3. **Service:** 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff who can assist with booking theme park tickets and excursions. Luggage storage is seamless. A credit card deposit is required at check-in. 4. **Ideal For:** Couples, families, and budget-conscious business travelers. During peak season, it's recommended to book an inner, higher-floor room in advance.

XXiaomi2323Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great. However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns. After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

GGuest UserI stayed in room 4603 on the 46th floor this time. It was a 2-bedroom, 1-study, 1-living room with an open kitchen, and all rooms offered incredible, unobstructed sea views. The three balconies outside were interconnected, and there were two comfortable sofas on the balcony where you could lie down and enjoy the ocean. You could also see the sea from both the bed and the indoor sofa. However, I had to switch rooms twice before I was satisfied. The first room they gave me, 4501, only had a sea view from the living room balcony, and there was a super thick pillar blocking the middle! (See picture 6). Then they moved me to room 4702 (picture 7), which had an enclosed sea view, and the visibility wasn't very satisfying. There was only a balcony space about one person wide that wasn't sealed off, where you could stand to take photos without glass in the way. I wasn't happy with 4702 either; it felt different from what I booked. And then!!! From 4702, I saw the balcony of 4703 next door (picture 8), which had a fantastic view and was also completely open with an interconnected balcony! So, I went to the front desk a second time to request a room like 4703. Finally, they gave me 4603, and we stayed for three nights. It was pretty much like the pictures I saw when I booked! So, I highly recommend everyone choose the 03 room type! I told the front desk that I had specifically booked a 'sea and sky' infinity sea view room, and if the sea view wasn't good, I'd rather not stay. The front desk kept saying she understood, she understood very well, and only after two room changes was I satisfied. I feel like the front desk has a strategy: they first give you a less desirable room, and only change it if you ask. If you think it's 'okay,' you might fall for it. If you only changed once, to a room like the 02 type, you might think, 'Well, this is better than the last one.' But what you might not realize is that the 03 type is the truly unobstructed sea view room you booked and deserve. So, if you're not satisfied with your room, make sure to take your booking photos and immediately ask the front desk to change rooms!
