The hotel was inflexible about changing rooms unless it was the same room type. However, the location is great. I'd choose to stay here again next time for several reasons. First, it's very close to Solaniwa Onsen, which is open from 11 AM to 11 PM. This is a perfect option for those with an early check-out and a late flight. Second, there are a few good restaurants nearby, located on the upper floor of the mall between the hotel and Solaniwa Onsen (see attached photos). Third, the city view from the 51st floor during breakfast or dinner is absolutely worth checking out. Fourth, you can take the subway directly to Kansai Airport without any transfers. Just pay attention to the announcements; about two stops before the airport, the train splits, so make sure you're in the correct car. The front desk also has staff who speak Chinese!
Fantastic Hotel, very clean very spacious and they cannot do enough for you, very handy location being 50 m from the main airport to Nanda railway line, you don’t hear the railway line and we got a room on the 24th floor with fabulous views over the harbour, would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you want to tour around and see the surrounding towns, I can’t think they will be a better hotel in a better location in Osaka

The service is excellent, and the room is clean. The location may not be very convenient for travelers, but the surrounding environment is comfortable.

The hotel is in between Shinsaibashi Station and Nagahoribashi Station. The staff are polite and friendly. The room is decent size for two people, though 2 open luggages can only be done halfway open, but sti ok. There’s free hot & cold drinks at the lounge area which is open from 5am to 12mn.
The buffet breakfast is nice, mostly local Japanese foods (which we like), i can say that the cereal can be considered western. 😁
There’s a family mart just 2-5mins walk. And you can also walk to Namba from the hotel.
Overall, it is a good hotel choice when in Osaka.

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient. 5–6 minutes walk to Hommachi St., which you can easily use to travel to Kyoto, Kobe, etc.
The check-in and check-out were really fast, and we had an upgrade, which was worth the price. I had read the previous reviews about the rudeness of the staff, which is not actually due to this, but it’s the language barrier that could make a tired traveller a little less patient.
If you wish to ask something more specific, please don’t be afraid to use the Google Translate app to help you with the communication. The staff have been really helpful to all of our enquiries.
Some remarks were about the hotel lobby being on the 15th floor, but they have a dedicated entrance for taxis or cars to reach the hotel.
Bonus: if you exit through KoKuMiN Osaka Metro
Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 4) on your right is a local grocery store that sells local produce and other fruits/food products. It's cheaper to go here to buy your drinks and fruits, etc.

It's a bit of a walk from the subway station. It's actually more around Nihonbashi. It's close to the Tanico store, and convenient for taking the Nankai line to the airport. Just be aware that the hotel doesn't provide complimentary water. Otherwise, the staff attitude was great, and the duvet and pillows were incredibly comfortable.

Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!
Very good bargain for this famous Jap branding hotel. Room was big enough for two luggages and movement, just personally think the lights were little bit dim making the room not bright enough. It’s a traditional hotel so looks a bit old style but I am ok with it. Super convenient location, and ¥1200 for 24 hours parking was one of the biggest reason I chose this hotel.
Great location for Universal studios. About 5 min walk. Easy check in and staff are quick and very polite. Room tax is charged per room per night 200yen. Very convenient to city walk where you will find many shops like 7.11, Lawson and many restaurants of all cuisines. Hotel is close to station. Room was large and beds comfortable. They have amenities available on G/F such as toothbrush, brush, cotton pads etc. Breakfast buffet was good selection and also has kids corne.
The hotel is conveniently located right outside Sakurajima Station. The environment is nice, and the two main highlights are the hot springs and the breakfast. I soaked in the hot springs for four days straight, it was incredibly relaxing! The breakfast quality is excellent. We were traveling with my elderly mother, so we bought breakfast for her. She could sleep in, then enjoy a good meal before heading out to explore, which really helped her stay energized! Walking to Universal Studios isn't too far either, about a 15-minute walk, which is perfectly acceptable.

DDingmaomisThe room design was modern and minimalist, making excellent use of the space, and it was spotless. My only minor complaint was that the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, which unfortunately led to a restless first night. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor lounge on the ground floor. The Western-style set breakfast was also quite delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with this hotel.
MMengmengmamaChoosing InterContinental Osaka was hands down the smartest decision I made!
The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!
VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.
The room was neat, clean and feeling new.
However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings.
Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day.
Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.
Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time.
The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner.
The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.
NNulibuwanmeizhongThe hotel interior is a bit old but clean and the service is excellent. The noise is like white noise, understandable given its location above the station. The hotel rooms are on floors 21-27. The 27th-floor lounge is not open to all guests; there's no free lounge access.
The location is super convenient with Osaka Station and Daimaru department store downstairs, plus Lucua and Eki Marche shopping centers nearby. It's perfect if you want to shop around the Umeda area. We chose it specifically for its excellent location: the Osaka Loop Line provides direct access to Kansai Airport and Universal Studios.
On the first night, the soundproofing wasn't great; we could hear our neighbors coughing. After reporting it to the front desk, they immediately upgraded us to a larger room with no neighbors in front or behind, free of charge. During the room change, I left an apple and a cake in the fridge, and they even brought them over to the new room.
Additionally, the front desk offers complimentary DHC skincare samples.
Overall, the excellent service attitude compensated for some of the hotel's older aspects. The biggest advantage is definitely the location, and the price is reasonable.

Kkay36The hotel is super convenient! It's just a 5-minute walk from the Honmachi subway station exit, located on the same side of the street. Downstairs, there's a Starbucks, a grand and impressive temple (I forget the name!), and a whole row of ginkgo trees with colorful lights. The ambiance is fantastic! The only drawback is the noisy motorcycle gangs downstairs, who usually quiet down around midnight. But honestly, after a long day of sightseeing, I was so tired it barely affected my sleep, and the hotel even provides earplugs.
The bed was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and accessible from both sides. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet area, and the sink is conveniently located in the entryway, which means someone can shower without interrupting someone else getting ready, washing their face, or removing makeup. This really boosted our morning efficiency!
Complimentary bottled water is provided, along with a full set of Pola body lotion, makeup remover, and face wash. A kettle, coffee, and tea bags are also available.
I'd definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Osaka!
XXixiFor an early morning flight from Kansai Airport, staying at Hoshino Resorts the night before is ideal. The rooms are a good size, well-equipped, and the subway station is less than a hundred meters away, making transportation very convenient. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the airport.
MM765968****The hotel has a simple and clean style, and the environment and hygiene are also very good. Most importantly, the room size is a bit larger, which I'm very satisfied with. The front desk staff were very courteous during check-in and check-out. The hotel's location is excellent; there's a Hankyu Oasis supermarket downstairs, and Lawson and 7-Eleven are not far away. The subway station is also very close, just a three-minute walk, and it's only two stops to Shinsaibashi. This three-day trip to Osaka was fantastic, posted from Tokyo.
CcartrinaSeeing comments about La Mer toiletries immediately made me book this hotel.
The location is unbeatable, super convenient. It's right opposite Shinsaibashi Daimaru, and directly connected to the subway and a shopping mall underground.
The hotel service was excellent; we got a free upgrade to a 3-bed room.
The hotel lobby is quite elegant, but the room itself needs a bit of a critique. With three beds, it's definitely a bit cramped, although the sleeping area was spacious. The curtains were showing their age (see photo), but since we were on a high floor, the view was good.
The bathroom felt a bit old, and there was an occasional sewage smell from the drain.
XXiemimiThe hotel view is absolutely fantastic, offering a great cityscape of Osaka. From the better room types, you get a direct view of a large area of Umeda, including the train station. The decor is European style, though it feels a bit 'knock-off' – like a fake European imitation. The details don't hold up under close inspection, and the cleanliness is noticeably not as good as in Tokyo. They're very generous with amenities, providing a lot. Breakfast is à la carte, suitable for those who enjoy Western breakfast; I found it pretty good, and the bread was quite tasty. There was a musty smell in the room, so overall, it didn't feel very high-end. The bedding was also quite ordinary. Its strengths are definitely the view and the value for money.
