The location is excellent. Strolling around at sunrise and sunset offered pleasant surprises and was incredibly relaxing. It was lovely to see people casually jump into the sea for a swim, which added to the laid-back atmosphere. The fish market was bustling with people, but I opted not to join the crowds.

I had a very satisfying stay here, with a rich breakfast and excellent service.
Location: It's near Bergen Central Station, with moderate distances to major transportation and attractions. If you exit the north side gate of the central station, it's right in front of you. The south side of the station is for the airport light rail. It's about a ten-minute walk to the bus terminal, and only fifteen to twenty minutes on foot to the cruise port. All transportation is very convenient.
Cleanliness: You generally don't need to worry about cleanliness in Nordic countries, and the room was very clean. However, please note that room cleaning is on request, and you need to inform the front desk a day in advance. Also, trash needs to be taken to the front desk yourself or you can ask them to clear it. A slight inconvenience.
Environment: The room size was decent, much more comfortable than what you'd find in Japan. However, in October, the room temperature was a bit cold, and it rains a lot in Bergen, so I had to ask staff for an electric heater. (P.S.: The panel in the room is not for air conditioning or heating; it's just a temperature monitor).
Also worth mentioning is the breakfast; it was incredibly abundant, and the variety was good. You could eat different things for two days without repetition. In Norway, this breakfast was the best meal I had every day đ. If you're catching a flight, you can ask the kitchen to prepare a takeaway, but it's limited to one sandwich and one apple.
Service: Very thoughtful and attentive. The front desk is 24/7 and they were very responsive to all requests. Full marks for service!
Other: Downstairs from the hotel is a restaurant and bar, which seemed to be packed every night. Worth trying if you get the chance.
The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk from the train station. The room was clean, though quite small. The view from the entrance was pleasant, and it's only a few minutes' walk to Tram Line 1, making it convenient for airport access. However, the earliest Tram Line 1 service isn't until 5:50 AM.
I had booked the room at a slightly higher price, and later found a lower rate on Ctrip. When I tried to inquire about a price adjustment for the difference, the hotel was completely unreasonable and quite unhelpful.
It's located next to a local neighborhood with a supermarket, but it closes early. A minor drawback is that if you get hungry late at night, the hotel lobby doesn't sell any food.

PERFECT. The hotel is central, behind the fish market, next to the old port, right in the market area. They gave us a free upgrade and provided us with the sea view room. If I had known what kind of view that room had, I would have chosen it from the start because at night, there is no better view of the old port than from that room. The room was modern and spacious, as was the bathroom. Regarding breakfast, you won't miss anything; on the contrary, there were many delicious options. The staff were extremely polite, always smiling, and ready to answer all our questions. I couldn't have lunch at their restaurant because they were closed, but I will do so when I visit the city again. My experience was excellent. I urge you to book rooms with a sea view.
The hotel is located in the town of Nur Hemsson, directly opposite the lake. It is a good drive for the Hardangerfjord in 20 minutes by car. The old building that lived is old, the facilities are a bit old, the rooms are large, and there is free parking. Staying at the hotel, taking a walk in the town, reading at the lake, is very pleasant. This town is worth living.

The check-in service was excellent! Since our flight was early, we were quickly assigned a room upon arrival, and we were very satisfied with the orientation and floor.
The breakfast was definitely worth trying; the ambiance was fantastic! The selection was also abundant, a real treat for salmon lovers. Overall, a wonderful experience.
I especially want to emphasize the hotel's superb location! It's a 10-minute walk from the Fløyen Mountain cable car entrance and a 10-minute walk from the fjord cruise ship boarding point. The views are breathtaking, and you don't need to allocate a long time for the port to board in the morningâyou can have a leisurely breakfast and then walk over, which is great!

Grand Terminus Bergen is a beautiful Hotel with friendly staff and at a great location. We appreciated the extra effort in helping us celebrate our 30th anniversary. Breakfast was of a good variety and catered to different dietary requirements. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The location is excellent, very close to the cruise ship terminal, making it very convenient to visit various attractions. The room is also quite spacious and equipped with a hairdryer, iron, etc., although the window is a little small.

For a tourist without car, it is in excellent location, 7 minutes to railway station to/from airport on foot with luggage n railway ticket just cost nok44 , walking distance to cable station to Floyen mount or Bergenhus or Ferry pier and shops. I reserved a small room but got a room of good size with windows and sofa. There are supporting staff in reception always and they can help me for my enquiries. They can provide electrical kettle at request. Coffee is free in lobby. Breakfast is also good , simple with good choices. I will reserve it if I will visit Bergen again.
Overall, wanted a hotel chain that was not involved in anything controversial and had good sustainability records. This hotel was authentic and built in the early 20th century and best of all had Scandinavian/Norway roots which is what I was looking for! The hotel was in an excellent location in a city centre and it was easy to walk everywhere, the train station, the taxi from the airport dropped us off right outside the hotel, the funicular and museums and wharf were all within 10-15 minutes away. Many shops and restaurants are nearby too. The breakfast was good, a range of fresh jam and the bread was of good standards. They had a nice cinnamon bun and waffle, so it was good to try their authentic snacks. They had melon and fruits as well with a selection of cheese, I liked their brown cheese the best personally. The welcoming hotel lady 'upgraded' us to a nice room with a view of the Bryggen Wharf and beautiful mountains, quite similar to the view you would find in the breakfast room too. It was a clean, spacious room with soft bedding which made it a comfortable stay. There was some noise from the main road which the reception warned us about as it is close to the night activities but thanks to the blacked out curtains and our deep sleep we didn't get affected by it. We had the option to change if we wanted but we were happy with it. The only downside I would say is the singles beds were together for the room as we thought it was double but it was very comfortable though and we had a good sleep. If it was stapled together it might be better so it doesn't move when in the edges. All in all, a friendly hotel in a perfect location.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the train station and light rail station for the airport. The breakfast is good. We came back after away for the 3-day Norway in a Nutshell tour. We left our suitcases in the hotel storage room while we were away and travelled relatively hand-free.
I love everything about this hotel!! It was exceptional especially for the breakfast, i canât help but be so greedy that i ate everything served. (donât worry there were no food waste!! everything went directly to our bellyđ¤Ł) we got free room upgrade as well with amazing view. at night we played some board games to spend time as outside was too cold
It is just next to the train station, which allowed me to drop my luggage and be on time for the tour at 2.30pm. Â Generally just a normal family room that is suitable for 1 night stay. Â I love the breakfast spread, quite unexpected to have a wide selection in this little town. Â There is no mini fridge in the room, in case you want to buy dairy products from the supermarket nearby.
Wonderful hotel, centrally located, staff very helpful. Clean and comfortable . Included meals , breakfast, afternoon tea and dinnner are outstanding value. Heaps of choices and sufficient quantities. Highly recommend. Gave a 4 for amenities, only because the conditioner needed to be refilled and the sauna was not accessible the day I was there, very minor issues.
Cute little hotel in close proximity to the fishermanâs market and about 8 minute walk to Bryggen. Was easy to get to with the airport bus (about 3 minutes from the stop) I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning as the weather was quite hot while staying, but it wasnât a problem. I kept the dial continuously at -5, not sure if that really did anything. Friendly and helpful people working behind the desk at check in and out. Breakfast was a wide assortment of local and western foods. Liked the assortment. There didnât really seem to be a worker whose job it was to clear tables as that process was slow. But there was space upstairs to eat. Room was very clean with big windows, but canât see out them as they are stained. Bed was a bit soft for my liking, like really soft and the shower leaked out onto the floor, but I think itâs reasonable considering the other positives and the price point of the hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again if ever in Bergen.
Sofa bed was huge! Location is fantastic and the room was much bigger than I thought. Everything was close and it was such an luxury stay. This will be the best place if youâre looking for somewhere to stay with over 3ppl in Bergen.
Excellent service - let me check in early and check out late. The breakfast buffet was simple and well stocked with both hot and cold options. The room itself was lovely and the hotel is located close to the town and not too far from the port.
