Here are a few suggestions for Hotel Himalaya:
1. The front desk and reception staff are polite and friendly, actively assisting with various issues.
2. However, due to outdated facilities, such as the bathroom, the water contains sediment, causing itchiness after showers.
3. There is no water dispenser, and using bottled water is not environmentally friendly.
4. The gym and some parts of the building are under renovation, resulting in noise pollution.
The service is great! Staffs are very helpful and arranged the transportation to airport for me! Super convenient for travelers who need to fly the next day.
If you want to experience the Nepalese style, this is a very good choice because it feels like living in an ancient monument. The equipment in the room has been tidied and the comfort is very good. The hotel is near the Great Pagoda, about a 15-minute walk away, so you can have a quick look at the city.

Everything was great apart from a little bit of construction noise in the early days. Great location in Tamel, on a quiet street away from the noise of the city. The staff were as friendly and friendly as possible and responded to any request. Free airport transfer is a convenient addition to stay at this hotel. Breakfasts are not very diverse, but satisfying, however, I did not have enough vegetables. Hotel manager Sachin arranged for us the mountain flight at a cost lower than the travel agencies and even the airline itself offered, with transfers from the hotel and back after flight. Great place for this cost. Thanks!
I wanted to share my heartfelt thanks for the wonderful 15 days I spent at Lakhey Hotel. It truly felt like a home away from home. I apologize for changing rooms multiple times, but I deeply appreciate the upgrades you generously provided.
Your team’s kindness and warmth touched my heart. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly attentive and welcoming, which made my stay so memorable. The care and thoughtfulness of everyone at your hotel made it a truly special experience.
Wishing you good health and continued success in your hotel business. Thank you again for everything!
Warm regards,

Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!
I enjoyed staying at this hotel before and after a trek. The bedroom was clean and warm. Once the shower warmed up, it was so nice after a couple of days of trekking. It was great to be able to leave one of my bags in storage there for a couple of days. They will also organise for your laundry to be picked up and returned for a reasonable price. I found the front desk was willing to answer any questions and help with any needs.
The communal area on the top floor was a nice space where I could also get both cold water and hot water as needed. My only disappointment was the room did not have a kettle and the free water bottles were not replaced after the first day.
Overall, it was a great place to stay right near the tourist area...but quiet enough at night.

Ramada keeps it's name and value, it can be seen in this hotel. The staff are friendly and caring. Though it was only a short stay but the room was good enough. The beds are comfortable and has basic amenities. The balcony has good space. It's quite and peaceful from outside. A good sleep and a good stay. Happy with the service.
I love this hotel so much, they are so welcoming, sweet and lovely, their neatness level is 100%
The food so lovely, I enjoyed their breakfast so much. I’m definitely visit Nepal because of this hotel again ❤️

Great
GGuest UserThe rooms were clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a much appreciated/needed balcony for drying the soaking clothes after our rainy hike. The service was quick and friendly, starting with the very nice security guard at the gate and ending with the front desk employees who were efficient and polite. The only real downside was that the hot water wasn't really working well at all in the shower, which was a bit of an issue considering I was in dire need of a good shower after my hike. But overall, a great value for anyone looking to stay in downtown Kathmandu in a convenient location!
喵喵酱wThe hotel has a beautiful environment, good service, and a superior location. It is very close to the Boudhanath Stupa. The only drawback is that it is not easy to find. The hotel's restaurant and afternoon tea are also very delicious, and the price is acceptable. Overall, it is a very good experience. (If you are lucky, you can also meet a kitten(*^ω^*))
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, historic building. Staff was attentive and kind. Adjacent to the hotel are nice restaurants (Nepalese, Indian and very fine French). I've made use of the small but practical gym, thereafter the sauna and finishing and cooling off in the outside pool.
Only 10-15m away from the airport (outside rush hours).
I'll certainly come again.
GGuest UserThe hotel with high expectations, I chartered a car to check in as soon as I arrived in Nepal. The hotel is built on the cliff of the mountain, facing the Himalayas. When I woke up in the morning, I saw the sunrise without any obstruction. The scenery was beautiful. The building outside had ethnic characteristics. The bright yellow house formed a huge contrast, which was very beautiful. The hotel reception moved our two large suitcases to a far room. Since there was no elevator, we had to go up and down the stairs all the way, which was very hard. Breakfast could be eaten on the terrace while enjoying the scenery. The room facilities were relatively simple and the room was very small. One suitcase could only be placed on the bed and the other on the stool. The bath water overflowed and submerged the adjacent washbasin floor, making it impossible to wash. When I left, I actually found a flea on the bed. In short, this hotel has beautiful scenery, good service, and rich breakfast, but the backward room facilities make it difficult for the hotel to let guests stay longer.
GGuest Userhad a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kathmandu. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. You can really feel that they care about their guests.
The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping was consistent and detailed — I always came back to a fresh and tidy room.
The location is also perfect: close to everything, but still quiet enough at night to get good rest. It’s just a short walk to great restaurants, shops, and many cultural sites.
Overall, amazing service, lovely people, and a place I would happily return to. Highly recommend.
CCookieStayed at this hotel for a week and it was okay . First day they gave me a very small room far from what I had paid for . The next morning the receptionist decided to move me to the room that matched what I paid for . The location is good , close to the tourist area. At night it’s loud outside but then it’s something you can work with . They have a rooftop restaurant with delicious dishes . I enjoyed the food throughout my stay. If I ever come back again , I will book this hotel again .
GGuest UserThere is a garden and the restaurant is also in the garden. The single bed is a little small but very comfortable. There is a terrace facing the garden. Fortunately, it closes at 8 or 9 in the evening, so it becomes very quiet immediately.
