Excellent location right next to the airport, free pick up service. The staff are super attentive. Food and amenities are pretty basic but I only stay for a night before an early flight, acceptable for the room rate.

This is considered a very good place to stay in downtown Nepal. There are many Europeans, Americans, and backpackers here. You get a welcome drink upon check-in. The place is quiet despite being in a bustling area. Every morning, there's a wide variety of breakfast options 🍳. We stayed here for five days. However, one minor downside was that the sink in our room on one night was leaking.

Here are a few suggestions for Hotel Himalaya: 1. The front desk and reception staff are polite and friendly, actively assisting with various issues. 2. However, due to outdated facilities, such as the bathroom, the water contains sediment, causing itchiness after showers. 3. There is no water dispenser, and using bottled water is not environmentally friendly. 4. The gym and some parts of the building are under renovation, resulting in noise pollution.

Nice, clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Shower was okay. Water did not get hot, lukewarm at best and refrigerator was not cold at all, I almost thought it was broken. Food was good if you stick to Nepali and Indian food options, but lassis were watered down. Drinks were also not cold. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, but I had two instances that really turned me off. They have a free buffet breakfast, but if you opt to skip it, they call you very early in the morning to ask if you're coming or not. This disturbed my sleep several times until I asked them to stop. Today was also my last day here and although check out is at 3pm, I received a call from reception at 10:30am asking when I'd be leaving. He informed me that a big group would be arriving and told me that the check out time was noon, when it was clearly stated otherwise online. He asked if I'd be staying another night instead as if I was bartering to not be pushed out of my room before check out time, when I was right. I've never had such an experience before and have traveled all over the world. Such a lack of professionalism and tact. That is not how you treat guests at a 4 star hotel. Not recommending this hotel to anyone!

Excellent hotel. 5 out of 5. The staff are polite and friendly. Everything in the room is new and clean. It's only a 10-minute drive to the airport. The breakfast selection wasn't very diverse, but there were still options to choose from. There are cafes, small shops, and pharmacies nearby. I recommend it!

Clean and nice hotel but the windows don't open. It was quite stuffy and unbearable. I applied for cancellation at the hotel, but I was told that I couldn't do it even before the cancellation time, so I had no choice but to stay ... I was told that there was a balcony in other rooms. I've been paying more than 18000. I wanted to cancel once and rebuild the room, but it didn't come true. It was a disappointing trip because I paid a lot of money. It is a pity that the cooperation between the hotel and the site is not functioning at all.

Extremely wonderful hotel 15 minutes walk from the airport. Everything was sparkling clean, comfortable, and I always felt well taken care of. The gym is well stocked and has a great view of the city. Breakfast was another highlight and included many delicious Nepalese, Indian, and Western foods. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind, helping me call taxis for a cheaper fare than the tourist rip off price, and they also helped me store my luggage overnight while I went on a yoga retreat. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!

The hotel has a beautiful environment, good service, and a superior location. It is very close to the Boudhanath Stupa. The only drawback is that it is not easy to find. The hotel's restaurant and afternoon tea are also very delicious, and the price is acceptable. Overall, it is a very good experience. (If you are lucky, you can also meet a kitten(*^ω^*))

Superb service from this hotel! They offer free pick up service so I have no worries to travel from airport to hotel around midnight. Their breakfast is fantastic, their staffs are very helpful, one of the staffs even came and asked if I need any bacon and he cooked on the spot for me. I booked a deluxe single room but I get a twin bedroom which is much more spacious. Lovely atmosphere, great location in the city, the street is quiet even though nearby the busy Thamel street. The hotel manager, Mega, is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
