Although I stayed for a day, the grandmother at the front desk was very welcoming and the staff was friendly. The pool is clean and beautiful, the room is large and clean, the hotel is beautiful, and there are lemon trees. 🍋
Highly recommended. The price is not expensive and it is clean. They even helped us throw out the trash the next day. The hotel is very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. The sea is really super clear and the color is beautiful. There are almost no tides in the sea here, so it is very safe. There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. (The boss also has a restaurant.) All service industry personnel on the island are warm and polite, which is different from those in Athens. The boss is very enthusiastic and will help rent a boat. I don’t know if the price is the lowest. He said that he will enjoy the best boat rental service at the lowest price. When we left, the boss helped us call a taxi to the bus station, which cost 40 euros. We recommend asking the boss to agree on the price in advance. When we came here, it was 30 euros to take a taxi ourselves. Taxis in Greece are really expensive, and they all take taxis while driving. After talking about the phone number, I looked for the next person to call, which looked very awkward. I will stay here again next year
The hotel occupies a unique location on the cliff by the sea. I ordered a full sea view room, an invincible sea view room. I live in this room and don't want to go back to China every day. The hotel facilities are very new, you need to bring your own toothpaste and comb
The hotel is right outside the beach. We arrived at the hotel early. Although we couldn't check in early, the front desk gave us blankets to enjoy the sun on the beach. We could order food while we were waiting. It was quite humane. The sun was very comfortable and the service attitude was very good.
The hotel is on the hill. There is a shuttle bus to the town and the beach, but it depends on their time. The hotel is a bit of a sense of age. We booked a private pool suite but the pool was a bit dirty and there were corpses of bugs in it and there was no water. The room was generally ok. Dinner and breakfast were included but the dishes and taste were not good. There were only lazy ones in the hotel Big dog and a few cats like to follow you. When checking in, I explained a lot of things in detail. There is a free airport pick-up and dinner. You can't wear revealing clothes and drinks are charged separately. Overall it's ok!
With a stay at Faro Del Porto in Kefalonia, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Ionian Sea and a 4-minute drive from Central Square Beach. This beach guesthouse is 1 mi (1.5 km) from Ragia Beach and 1.9 mi (3 km) from Limenia Beach.
Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and luggage storage.
Make yourself at home in one of the 13 air-conditioned rooms featuring kitchenettes with refrigerators and stovetops. Rooms have private furnished balconies. 32-inch LED televisions with digital programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include safes and coffee/tea makers, and housekeeping is provided daily.
Room: Small but very clean. Disposable amenities and soft slippers are provided! They even gave us a bottle of wine 🍷 and upgraded us to a mountain view room 🏠
Service: Nice. We received a welcome gift upon check-in and a gift of local olive oil, pepper, and other specialties at check-out. The staff was very friendly. The blonde lady on our first day was very friendly and highly recommended. Luggage storage is also available, with a separate room. They also provide towels for beach use.
Breakfast: It should be served upon check-in, from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. It's delicious. P.S. The coffee in the room is better, but the capsule coffee is served in the room. I had it ready and brought to me. The breakfast coffee seemed to be pre-brewed, not freshly ground. I need to research the coffee machine, hahaha.
Additional note: During my two days on Za Island, the tap water had a slight salty taste, and my face felt dry after washing. I think there's a problem with the island's water purification system. You could buy a large water bucket as a backup.

SSylvia Drsoul Fernandez ColoradoWowwww! I can only say amazing things about this place... the owner Mr George, the staff Mina, Makis and the others are just great! The freshly made food and drinks are priceless with the breathtaking view ”Window to Kephalonia” as someone called it there! Sunsets by the pool are unique here. The rooms have safe, fire jackets, small stove and oven with everything for cooking and a refrigerator... but why cook when they are such good cooks 🤩. I didn't need the ac, but there is one, as well as extra blankets if you need. If you need a hair dryer or iron they can lend you one at the front desk. If you cam drive manual cars I strongly recommend Alex from Via Venetia for great cars at amazing prices if you have International drivers license, otherwise get a well known car company Enterprice etc. A car is only recommended if you want to see the island. Liberatos Village is up a hill that will keep your body in shape and that bathingsuit looking great! Get a hat here and bring your sunblock! They offer small soaps, towels and bedsheets. I stayed here 7 nights and really felt at home... room F4 had an amazing balcony and spacious/comfortable room! Make sure to visit the Church up the hill and the cave inside the church!
GGuest UserThe room itself was clean and efficient. No luxury but I managed nicely for my one night stay.
The problem was the bathroom. There clearly was a leak somewhere in the piping as there was a small amount of water on the floor constantly, day and night which made your feet wet whenever you did go to the bathroom.
The breakfast was southern European standard.
YYelyzaveta HryhorenkoOverall we had a great stay! The staff was super friendly and welcoming — thank you for that. The hotel is located higher up the hill than we expected, so keep in mind that if you don’t rent a car, you’ll need to walk quite a bit up and down to get to the beach. The property is clean and well maintained. Our room was smaller than we expected, but clean enough.
The bed and pillows were super comfortable, which was a big plus!
There’s a small issue with the toilet — the flush tank takes a really long time to refill and it’s quite noisy.
Also, there was no microwave, no salt/pepper/oil, and only one bread knife, so cooking was a bit limited. Just a very basic set of kitchenware.
Wi-Fi in the room was pretty much unusable. The only place we could get any signal was near the balcony — and even there it wasn’t good enough for a video call.
If you plan to work remotely like we did, either ask for a room with better connection or be prepared to work outside, where the internet was great.
They provide two 1.5L bottles of water at check-in, but after that you’ll need to buy your own. A bottle costs €3.
We didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on the food or variety.
The pool was clean, which was nice!
MMichele HirokawaWe went last year and this year. Planes pass overhead. Clientele mainly Russian and Ukrainian but this hotel is perfect. A small restriction for food in the evening and at midday at the beach which could be improved
GGuest UserHotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way.

Great host and welcoming
A very niche and nice location with good restaurants
-:
No safety lock
Every other day cleaning and changing the bed sheets
Bathroom does not have full glass cover so water goes around the toilet
GGraeme JHThe hotel is about 5 minutes taxi ride from the airport making it really convenient. The rooms are clean with everything you need. The pool is great and the sun loungers very comfortable. You can watch incoming planes landing from the pool. People tend to put their towels down before the pool opens, which can be frustrating and means waiting for a lounger if you don’t do that - Tip: if going in July (it was 33 degrees) go to the beach first and then the pool around 4/5pm and you’ll get a lounger and quieter pool. Hotel is within walking distance of both Ammes and Ai Helis beaches which are immaculate. The water is clean and clear. We would definitely return.
GGuest UserStaff were excellent, friendly, polite, always willing to help and guide. Big shout out to Evelyn - fountain of knowledge! Breakfast plentiful , regularly topped up. Only downside was occasional ‘ greedy’ guest who thought it ok to load plates . Pool was superb, pool bar was never rammed so seating plentiful. Always choice of sun beds. Parking is opposite hotel - if coming from Skala it is on right hand side ( sharp turn down slope). Great value for money . We had sea view room which was spacious, always cleaned . Decent size balcony . Recommendation - all guests to be shown pool rules including no diving and don’t take drinks
glasses to your sunbed
