Room: Clean, big bed, spacious, can watch Kuantan town from room and also Ive can watch moon at night. Bathroom: The water pressure so low, and the shower bathroom floor not clean. Breakfast: Nice place, not so much food but still good. Location: Nearby kedai makan but if wanna go to mall, need to take a ride.

The building was very dated, the smell of the air refresher was too overpowering and from the lobby to corridor and to the lift, all smells are different. The smell in the lift was unbearable. For the price and the name of Hyatt, I expected much better quality in the rooms and amenities. The gym was old, dark and low ceiling. The restaurant was too small for the number of rooms. You have to queue to go for breakfast. The food was mediocre. No taste in the vegetable lodeh, dhal. The coffee from the coffee machine was bad, too bitter and acidic. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel. It felt like a 3 star instead of a 5 star. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is located next to the beach.

The place is very instagrammable and the staffs are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the weather was bad, it was raining all day so we could not enjoy the beach view. The room is very comfortable and the cleanliness is a top-notch 👌🏼 overall it was a great stay, just the minus of the weather which i couldnt spend time enjoying the beach or sunset/sunrise. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel, so it was really easy if you are looking for places to eat besides the hotel.

Stayed at AC Hotel Kuantan for a short business trip and it exceeded expectations. The check-in was smooth, staff were professional, attentive, and efficient throughout the stay. The room was spotless, modern, and comfortable with a great work desk setup and reliable Wi-Fi, perfect for getting work done. Bed quality was excellent and ensured proper rest after long meetings. Breakfast spread was well prepared with good variety and fresh options. Location is convenient with easy access to key areas in Kuantan. Housekeeping standards were consistent and prompt. Overall, a very pleasant, hassle-free stay. Highly recommended for business travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and professional service.

Check in only at 5pm. I was at the lobby at 4pm but room not ready at that time. Very disappointed. Nothing as complimentary It is a big unit or bungalow unit that i took but they only gave 4 towels. I ask for additional towel they want to charge RM10 just to provide additional towel. Additional blanket they charge me RM40 for 2 towels.. Location very good. Everything else was good too

I had terible experience stay under this management. Beds full of bugs, toilet were VERY dirty. Ask the management to clean up the unit but the management changed my room, after change room, same problem occur, toilet still dirty, FLUSH BROKEN, can't flush. Only bugs dissapear in the second unit. Please check carefully before you check in. I dont understand they actively open these unit for rental. you better check carefully ya. Aminities all A+ under the Timurbay, only this management were the main problem.

This beachfront guesthouse truly excels in both the guest experience and its management. It boasts stunning sea views, with clean, well-lit rooms; some even offer direct sunset views over the ocean. The front desk and room service teams are professional and courteous, handling check-ins, luggage storage, and in-room requests promptly. The property is well-designed with excellent facilities for families and vacationers, and the beach is just a short walk away. It's an ideal getaway for families, couples, and friends. Overall, the stay was comfortable and offered great value for money, reflecting excellent operational standards. It's definitely a place worth revisiting and recommending.

2. Satisfactory With Room for Improvement The overall stay was decent, with the hotel offering a pleasant décor and a generally comfortable environment. Cleanliness met basic expectations, though certain areas could benefit from more consistent upkeep. Hospitality was polite but occasionally lacked promptness and attention to detail. With some improvements in service quality and housekeeping standards, the hotel could deliver a much better experience.

Ssaree3Amma make this one short, The place is nice, staff were amazing, food could be alot better i mean depedns its almost all Asian. For all coming to visit, this place is more like a romantic trip than a family vacay. The beach is very bad TBH its all rocky, no beach front that you can actually lay on and enjoy the dash o'water The closest lets say snorkelling requires a package purchase or if you know a sea taxi, as relying on this beach's marine life its sad, dead coral everywhere.

AAmir HamzahA Great Stay at Berjaya Tioman Resort We had a wonderful experience during our stay at Berjaya Tioman Resort. We booked two rooms and were pleasantly surprised to receive connecting rooms, which made our stay much more convenient and comfortable especially for families. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring the island. One unexpected perk was that can drinks in the hotel were complimentary, which was a nice touch and added to the overall value of the stay. Breakfast offered a variety of food selections, catering to different tastes. While the spread was decent, the taste could be improved to better match the quality of the rest of the resort experience. Overall, Berjaya Tioman Resort provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely consider returning in the future.

###$$##The resort has everything you need — meal options are buffet, grill, BBQ, and fried dishes with excellent wok hei. It also offers a spa, dive centre, mini mart, and an activity centre that arranges snorkeling, trekking, kayaking, and more. Right in front of the resort is a clean, beautiful beach, and Tomok Island is just a short walk away for snorkeling.

GGuest UserThe island's scenery is breathtaking, especially in the evenings as the sun sets. The combination of the boardwalk, the water, the clouds, and the seagulls is truly captivating. You can also snorkel and kayak on the island, or simply relax on a cushion by the beach, gazing at the clear blue water, listening to the crashing waves, and minding your own business. It's a relaxing and comfortable experience. The rooms are decorated in a wood-style style. Ours even had a small pool, a patio, and a small loft. Everything was well-equipped. Knowing we were Chinese tourists, they even switched the Netflix program on the TV to Chinese—a thoughtful touch. The hotel also offers a turndown service with scented candles and a small note on a leaf, making you feel instantly at home. Regarding food, there's a Malaysian restaurant and an Italian restaurant on the island (the hotel owner is Italian, married to a Malaysian woman, and built a hotel here). Breakfast is served at the hotel's buffet, offering both a buffet and à la carte options. The bread, various toasts, muffins, and yogurt are all delicious. I recommend ordering the ones with peanut butter. We only ate at the Italian restaurant once, which was average. The rest of our stay was at the Malaysian restaurant. The chef is a master at making rich, spicy, sour, and fried dishes, and he's very humorous. The smoothies are also very authentic, and I especially recommend the green apple juice, which is a refreshing summer treat. There's also a small bar during happy hour that sells grilled food and fresh seafood. We didn't know about it and missed it, but we ended up ordering a burger, which was amazing! The gravy was juicy, and while the bread was a little dry, it outweighed the problem. Even the roasted potatoes on the side were delicious! Finally, the hotel service here is impeccable. The staff greets you with a smile and immediately seeks to assist you with any needs. In short, it feels like home, and thinking of them brings a sense of security. Transportation was a bit of a hassle. We landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport, chartered a car to Mersing for a ferry, and spent a few hours exploring Malacca along the way. We departed from the airport's Outlet at around 2:00 PM, arrived in Malacca around 4:00 or 5:00 PM, and departed for Mersing at 7:00 PM, arriving around 11:00 PM. We slept in a homestay in Mersing. The next day, we took the 11:30 PM ferry to Tioman Island, and then another ten-minute ride on the hotel's boat to the hotel. It was a hassle, but on our last day, the hotel dropped us off at the Tioman Island jetty for the ferry. Seeing them say goodbye to us, I couldn't help but think I'd return one day. Besides the scenery, it was their simplicity, sincerity, and thoughtfulness that made this hotel feel like home. It truly was ”home, sweet home.”

GGuest UserThis was our second stay at the hotel with my family, and I noticed quite a few changes. The swimming pool is now very close to the beach, most likely due to the monsoon season affecting the shoreline. The food selection was disappointing with very limited variety, and honestly, not worth the price. However, I did enjoy the location — it feels private and away from the crowds, which is a plus. The room itself was fairly clean, but the TV channels were limited, and there was no iron or hair dryer provided. For the price, it didn’t feel like good value, but for 3 adults and 2 kids, it was acceptable overall.

GGuest UserPRO Hotel location walking distance to beach and close to popular dining places & cafes. Helpful & Attentive staff. CONS This is an aging hotel and the maintenance can`t catch up as the years progresses. Our first night was terrible when we found out that the bed is full of bed bugs. The next morning they apologised for the issue and we were transferred to a new room. There always old marks & old stains on the bedsheet, blankets, toilets, walls but might be acceptable for some. No phone in the room, you have to call using your own phone if you want to reach the front counter. Breakfast 2.5/5. Again cleanliness is the issue, bowls, plates, you will find some particles in them. And the food is just average and cold. OVERALL : Just ok, below my expectation. WILL I RETURN? : Maybe no
