The hotel offered great value for money, probably because it wasn't peak season. Our room faced west, which meant we got to see beautiful sunsets and take some fantastic photos, though it did get a bit too hot. Luckily, the air conditioning was powerful, otherwise, sleeping at night would have been impossible. The bathroom design wasn't ideal; it was too dark and cramped, definitely something that needs improvement. On the other hand, breakfast was excellent, really fantastic.
Had a wonderful stay at Damai Lagoon. The place is beautiful and relaxing, breakfast was amazing with lots of choices, the service was excellent, and everything was very clean. Highly recommended!!!
Overall, the hotel is upper-mid-range with good value for money. The service attitude is excellent, and the environment is pleasant. The only drawback is the bathroom design; while the room itself is spacious, the shower stall is too narrow, causing water to spray all over the floor. This is a significant flaw and a big miss!
Just nice for a single or two travellers. Clean room and with enough facilities. Walking distance for food and malls and city center.
Comfortable stay, will came again.
I booked a Standard Hill View King on Chinese New Year Eve, The overall stay is a decent one, was provided with one King size bed and one single size bed, room was equipped with one mini fridge, one kettle and some cups, tissues, TV but the satellite line was bad as TV line appears unstable, small hair dryer, you can refer to photo I posted for amenities and room view, what I showed is all I got. Breakfast wasn't many choice but good enough, they have laksa, kolomee, salad, nasi lemak, bread
It was such a pleasant stay!! We loved it so so much!! Only have few complaints/concerns regarding our stay there.
1. Not enough security - since theres no ‘gate’, outsiders can easily enter, even late at night! We were walking to Lepapa around 11:00PM, when we saw 2 youngsters hanging out around the lobby (Prior to that we saw them arriving around 11 PM ish using motorcycle). Besides that, it feels like a lack of security for car as well, which makes us a little concern as well.
2. Lack of place to eat - theres an effort of few restaurants but only one are open (After 4) but only until 8 or 9PM. Theres one more restaurant, the pizza place, but its not open at all. Hopefully more restaurants can open here as nearby shop are quite far (Lundu)
The hotel’s location is very strategic, with plenty of food options and amenities within walking distance, which is a definite advantage.
However, the service appears to be impacted by a shortage of staff. During both mornings at breakfast, we experienced long waits for coffee cups, juices, and water to be replenished. Cutlery setup and table clearing were also slow, resulting in guests having to take utensils from other tables or walk to the service station to get napkins, forks, and spoons.
We observed similar challenges during the wedding dinner we attended. Basic services such as drink refills were often overlooked and had to be requested multiple times.
Overall, while the location is excellent, improvements in staffing and service efficiency would greatly enhance the guest experience.
It's been my second time stay here. I really like Seaview apartment. It's a bit pricey but booking with TRIP. COM I get it's cheaper than other apps. Most recommend apps to use. Don't hesitate to book this hotel at miri.. U won't regret it. Trust me.
Enjoyed the nature retreat here with the surrounding of nature sound of waterfalls, the sea wave hitting the rock and the calls of insects throughout the night
Its was also an experience stay as the weather was raining throughout our stay here.
Staff were super friendly and offer umbrella to us while our luggage were delivered to our rooms. Servility were seen doing their round in the night give one the security of staying here.
From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Check-in was fast and smooth. The hotel's facilities and surroundings are excellent. My room was spotless, neatly arranged with a cozy and high-quality feel. The bed was super comfortable; I relaxed completely the moment I lay down and slept soundly until morning.
The room had no strange odors, and the soundproofing was effective, making the overall environment very peaceful – truly ideal for relaxing. Housekeeping was also very meticulous, making me feel well taken care of. The breakfast selection was rich and varied.
Overall, this is a hotel that offers great value for money and excellent service. I highly recommend it for a vacation. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit ❤️

AAnonymous UserMy wife and I decided to spend a long weekend in Bintulu, a destination we had never explored before. As we had no prior experience with hotels there, we relied on Google reviews and chose this hotel based on its generally positive feedback.
The drive from Bintulu Airport took about thirty minutes, with very light traffic. Location wise, it was quite good. The hotel sits next to the waterfront, which became part of our morning routine as we enjoyed quiet walks overlooking the estuary.
The Spring Bintulu mall is also nearby, roughly a five minute walk, making it easy to access food and basic necessities.
The hotel carries an older character, but it is comfortable and reasonably priced. I liked the high ceiling in the lobby, which gave the space a more open feel. The welcoming drink during check in was a nice touch.
Initially, we were assigned a room on Level 2, but it had a noticeable smoking smell. After informing the staff, we were moved to a non smoking room on Level 3 without much hassle.
Our room was spacious and came with a full sized fridge. The view was rather ordinary, facing part of the lobby roof, but it did not bother us much since we were out most of the day. The bathroom was roomy with a bathtub, though the toilet flush was slightly slow.
The staff were polite and helpful, with special mention to Marcellinus at the reception. She was friendly, warm and consistently pleasant.
The hotel also offers parking, a small gym with basic equipment, a sauna and a modest swimming pool.
Overall, the stay was comfortable and practical, making it a reasonable option for visitors to Bintulu.

GGuest UserNice view and very close to the beach, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay. Will repeat again staying there..
GGuest UserThe facilities and cleanliness were great, which I appreciated. However, there are a few things I'd like to point out.
The drain cover in the restroom was open, and I had to close it myself.
I tried the complimentary breakfast for two people per night. It was really disappointing. The cereal seemed old, and the spaghetti looked like it was made without any effort.
In my opinion, it would be better to either remove the breakfast option entirely or increase the room rate and improve the quality of the breakfast.
I felt that the breakfast could really detract from the hotel's image, despite the clean and well-maintained rooms.
Thank you for a comfortable stay!
