Wonderful hotel!!! The service, cleanliness, food, and activities were all top-notch! The hotel offers lovely complimentary touches like free lemon tea in the fridge, a bag, a scarf, and local coffee. In the evenings, they bring pastries to your room. The coconut balls are absolutely amazing! During the day, there are free snacks and refreshing drinks. There's also a happy hour – buy one cocktail, get one free. We experienced the dinner buffet, which was excellent! You can even try their famous suckling pig. Breakfast offers something for every taste! There's also a restaurant on the second floor with incredibly large and delicious dishes.
The hotel's massage service was also great; you can choose between a 1-hour or 1.5-hour session.
They offer free bicycles and boats. Definitely take a boat ride; you might spot sea urchins, starfish, and small fish. You can use the bikes to explore the town.
The gym is excellent, with everything you need, plus air conditioning, towels, and water!
The pool is clean, and the water temperature is very comfortable.
Archery is also free.
Swimming from the shore in the sea can be a bit challenging as it's very shallow, but you can take a boat out to deeper water for a swim.
And the sunrises here are incredibly beautiful!
If you want to visit the underground river or other attractions, you can arrange a tour and rent a car at reception. It might be more expensive than in town, but you save a lot of time.
We rented a car and drove to the beach ourselves. It was an hour's scenic drive, and you're there. They even provided us with a bag of beach towels for the trip.
During our 4-day stay, we never felt any discomfort; everything here is designed for guests. The staff are the most smiling and responsive! We will definitely return to this hotel chain again!!!
Thank you!
Great Resort directly at the ocean with super friendly staff and perfect organization.
Everything was great, especially the diving with Volker was amazing! Thank you and hope to come back soon!
The hotel is beautiful!! Our room is amazing!! Love all the sculptures and fine details they have all over the hotel. The pools are huge and water is nice and warm! The staff is welcoming and friendly! Would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to other travelers.
Great service . They are always friendly and helpful.
Food is best I had in years if I compare another hotels .
And bug bonus is that the kit hen also make food on demand . So if not on menu they do on request and it is worth to pay some extra money.
Only downside is that trip.xom do not mention that beside the 30 peso terminal fee . And then on tge another side you need to pay 120 peso tourist tax . And as last 300 peso each person to go to the hotel.
But for sure I will go back there
Absolute Paradise
I cannot recommend Astoria Palawan enough! My husband and I recently stayed in one of the Villas, and it was the perfect home away from home. The space, the privacy, and the gorgeous views made our trip truly special.
One of the highlights was the boat trip to the sand bar—a slice of heaven in the middle of the water. The team that took us out ensured we were safe and comfortable the entire time, making the experience completely worry-free and magical.
The food was consistently excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets, which offered a fantastic variety of delicious dishes to suit every taste. For evening relaxation, we loved having drinks at The Dome—the atmosphere is unmatched.
What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I want to send a huge thank you to Segundo at the Canopy reception for his warm and efficient service. A special shout-out to Jacqklyn at The Dome for her wonderful evening service and making our nights out special, and to Mark at the Habitat Restaurant for his attentive care during our meals.
We are also incredibly grateful to the team who safely took us to the sandbar—your professionalism was reassuring. Finally, a massive thank you to Agustin at the waterpark for his energy and helpfulness; he made the waterpark experience so much fun for us no.
If you are looking for a flawless stay in Palawan with incredible villas, great food, and staff who genuinely care, book Astoria Palawan. We are already planning our return
Our last four nights in paradise the swim up room was amazing we used that pool for a lot of hours nice to have our own deck and access.
We ate all our meals here breakfast was included and was good the options were lacking a bit but we found enough to eat! Dinner we ate here because we were lazy and didn’t want to go out! The food was good not great but good not always the same the next day was strange!
The beach was great the tides gos out for miles so there is lots to walk! The massage place was great she worked all my kinks out. But I would not recommend the nail salon was very basic not much to choose from for Color and she was late then when she did arrive had to go home for tools she forget! The hotel staff were all very helpful! The pool bar was nice and Mark made some fancy drinks!
The hotel is a five-minute drive from Sabang, and the store has a driver who provides free pick-up, which is very convenient. People who like quietness are especially recommended to come here. There is an independent pier for going out to sea, away from the crowd, which is really great.
Huge disappointment. I had selected this hotel to take advantage of its immediate seaside location. But the strange layout of the hotel means that most of the rooms overlook the corridor, requiring the curtains, which are blackout curtains, to be closed. Result: from a super bright room with possibly a sea view that you were hoping for, you find yourself in a completely dark room. There is therefore no point in being by the sea. (Photos taken with the door open and curtains open).
The general quality of the hotel is average, and the prices charged are therefore excessive.
Room size ok, but:
- no chair or table available. You only have your bed to sit on, eat, work,...
- noisy air conditioning, which you therefore cannot leave running at night if you want to sleep properly.
- wardrobe, but no coat rack in it.
- a refrigerator, but which does not get cold, or even heats up.
- no shower gel available in the shower
No problem with cleanliness. Good quality bedding also.
Simple breakfast, served on a plate.
Not a hotel where I will return and which I do not necessarily recommend either.
This is a budget cottages and yet a quite area along the road, I like the pool on it. There is a nearby stores and a resto only walking distance from the cottage. If u want to go to the town/Bayan whay they call and sabang/a place where you can take a walk/nigjtlife, just pay 25 pesos if you shared wirh other passengers. The caretaker is very helpful also.If u want to go to the beach there is nearby 15 mins.from tje cottage and again, I took a sharing tricycle only paid 25 pesos or if you want a private one just hail along the road also. The caretaker will lead you with all your needs.I am satisfied with my stay as a solo traveller.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before heading to El Nido. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The view from the pool, overlooking Honda Bay, is simply breathtaking.
The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers and shuttle service to/from Robinson's Mall. You can also conveniently book a minivan to El Nido directly through them.
In my opinion, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Options included scrambled eggs/omelets, cereal, bread, jams, and butter. There was very little fruit and only one salad. The rice, soups, and other dishes weren't particularly appealing to a European palate (the meat and fish were too overcooked).
However, the à la carte menu for dinner and lunch (which is paid) was, on the contrary, very delicious.
The hotel itself is quite old. The furniture in the rooms shows its age. There was also a slight musty smell, although the cleanliness was maintained.
The staff were incredibly pleasant and responsive.
Overall, the hotel is suitable for 1-2 nights, but don't rely too heavily on the photos.

Very Good
GGuest UserStunning Republic was located in a prime area right off the beach. Our checkin was smooth and our 5 day stay was great. We were a large group of 13 people. Breakfast and food overall at the hotel was decent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only negative (not the hotels fault) was the very poor reception quality across El Nido. Overall, great stay!
GGuest UserThis is by far the best beachfront hotel you could ever find in white sand puerto gallera. The rooms are clean and good smelling, the facilities are well maintained, the bed is awesome! Water supply and AC is excellent. And you get the most value of your hard earned money.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel and has the potential to be a great hotel.
Staff are extremely polite and friendly - always saying hello.
Pool are is great with ample swimming locations and sunbeds.
Food is to be expected at a hotel both in terms of price and quality.
Town is too far away to walk, but ample tricycles to take you.
Biggest let down for us was the water pressure - every time we had a shower, there would be no pressure and would need to contact front desk for maintenance to do something to the pump. Every time.
After the 4th complaint they really should’ve moved us to another room. We were on level4.
SSophia The ExplorerPros:
-Very accommodating and polite staff
-Clean rooms and common areas
-Convenient paid airport pickup and drop-off (₱1,100 pickup via hotel van, ₱600 drop-off via taxi arranged by the hotel)
-Well-maintained swimming pool (approx. 4 ft deep)
-Lounge sunbeds by the pool overlooking both the pool and the beach
-In-house restaurant and small bar available
-Housekeeping is attentive and regularly checks if cleaning is needed
-Comfortable bed; towels and linens smelled and felt clean
-Beach towels available upon request at reception
-Beach view is nice, though only accessible at high tide (around 6:00 PM)
Cons:
-Very isolated location; nothing to see or do outside the hotel
-Free hotel shuttle to Robinsons Mall is helpful but limited to scheduled times
-Breakfast is not worth purchasing if not included in the room
First two days were buffet-style and okay
Last two days were plated and disappointing (small portions, food served cold, long waiting time)
-Air-conditioning in our room was a bit noisy, which was inconvenient since I was working
-Limited activities within the hotel aside from the pool
-Restaurant food and drinks are quite pricey; we relied on Grab deliveries most of the stay
Suggestions for Improvement:
Keep breakfast buffet-style permanently to improve food quality, temperature, and waiting time
Improve coordination of breakfast orders
Consider adding more in-house activities or more affordable dining options
Final Thoughts:
A clean and comfortable hotel with excellent staff, best for guests who plan to relax within the property. Improvements in breakfast service and minor facility upgrades would greatly enhance the overall experience.
FFulgencio Pollocation is perfect just few block for a market and walking distance to the marina we're the boats for excursion is dock and load. The hotel accomodations is just basic small bed low and very thin mattress, pillow and blanket is excellent soft, water supply is abundant although electricity us intermitent on and off, our aircondition unit has been affected that doesn't giving cold air glad it was just out last night. pool is beautiful and cleaned , food for breakfast is superb better and giid quality selection. the staff are very polite and respectful, very helpful and get job done as much as possible, they pack a sandwich breakfast for us as we have early trip to El Nido that was very nice if rhem. The water supply is not drinkable so they provide bottled water and you can ask for a refill. They will give you a welcome drink of a fruit drink. This is really a good location, my only dislike is the bed, as it's very small when they say twin bed it is a twin bed, other than that it's ok. Yes its more pricey compare to the sorrounding hotel but the food and pool are the best.
KKarimHMy stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support.
The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island.
The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Thank you for an exceptional stay!
GGuest UserThe bats and lizards on the island are the highlights. At sunset in the evening, the bats will leave the island to go out for food. Thousands of bats and the sunset take off, which is very spectacular. The hotel service is also good. When I return to the room at night, all the clothes are folded and the charging cable is rolled up and placed on the table. I live in a garden room. The room facilities are a little older, but overall it is comfortable. New houses are still being built on the island, and the new houses may be better. There are two restaurants on the island, one international restaurant and one Filipino restaurant. No brainer to go to the Filipino restaurant🍴
ИИгорь А.I'll start with the pros:
1. Gorgeous views of the bay from both the rooms and the pool;
2. Excellent large infinity pool overlooking the bay;
3. Daily housekeeping.
Cons:
1. Not up to par with a 5-star hotel;
2. Tired, worn, in need of renovation;
3. The rooms are large and spacious, but not cozy; they feel like premium hospital wards;
4. Ants are everywhere in the rooms;
5. The equipment in the gym needs updating; it's all rusty, making you question whether it's safe to use. The bench is wobbly, making it easy to fall off;
6. The included breakfast consists of an omelet (or fried eggs or scrambled eggs, your choice, toast with butter and jam, and fruit), which is impossible for a healthy man to eat. There is no variety, the quality of breakfast does not correspond to 5*.
HHera SzExcellent facilities if you book à ocean view room. Room is spacious and comfortable and the view is stunning .
Negative point is the other customers arriving drunk at midnight with their “comforts” screaming and making lots of noise in the balcony and corridor .
During Check-in the staff had a bit of trouble as we canceled the previous reservation of standard room and upgraded to Ocean View and we had to insist and show the voucher that we had an Ocean View . Shower box was missing a door and because of that the Water would go all over the toilet .
***** Bring your own toiletries .
Staff was kind and friendly and the swimming pool is very nice .
I didn’t try breakfast but lunch was good at the restaurant attached to the hotel.
TTouxinxiaodaozeiA beautiful private island, Palawan is a budget-friendly place to stay, far beyond the reach of ordinary hotels.
1. Includes round-trip airport pick-up to the island, saving transportation costs.
2. Includes breakfast for two.
3. Free use of marine facilities, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking are all free to play.
4. Good service and beautiful scenery, the guests are all handsome men and women after screening.
