The hotel is located within walking distance from the station (but NOT with ski equipment) at the Ylläsjärvi side of the resort. I have to say that the reception staff was friendly beyond expectations and the breakfast was also better than average (especially when compared with other Finnish hotels). I could go again. We had a room with in room stairs to the loft and those were extremely steep and hard to climb for an adult. Anyway, kids were happy to get their own nest from the upper level. As always, Finnish hotels rarely are equipped with decent cooking during the summer months. I have no doubts that during the winter the rooms will be warm but during the hot summer days they could be cooler.

The check in process is very unfriendly for foreigners. The instructions are unclear. The 24/7 contact will be answered on the 5th or 6th call. It took us an hour to get the key and correct location for the room. The key and the room are two different places. Other than that, the room is very nice for a family. Cozy and spacey. Very nice location. 10 mins walk to the station. If the check in instructions can be improved, it is a nice place.

We stayed in an igloo. Although it was cloudy and we couldn't see the aurora, we felt very peaceful and relaxed when we lay in bed and looked up at the sky and the surrounding environment. The receptionist was very friendly and proactive in helping us. When we took photos by the stove, she took the initiative to light the firewood, which added to the atmosphere.

The hotel was in a good location and the parking area in the backyard was spacious. There was no individual cooling in the room, but fortunately the room was not too warm. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was average. A small minus regarding the TV channel selection, in the room you could only see channels 1, 2, 3, 4, Ava and Sub.

The room was old but clean enough, though the layout was a bit odd. The front desk staff were very helpful; we arrived early and they checked us in as soon as a room became available. If you arrive early and the restaurants near the hotel aren't open yet, the hotel offers breakfast for 12 euros per person.

The icebreaker car will pick you up at the hotel and then return you to the hotel. It is very convenient to stay here. Parking is available opposite the hotel. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but it is quite complete, including fruits, yogurt, and freshly ground coffee. Breakfast is available at 6 o'clock.

Layout: The entire hotel layout is shown in Figure 1. The wilderness cabin is closer to the check-in front desk. Walking out is the Aurora Hut close to the restaurant. The furthest away is the Arctic Chalet. Meals, bar, front desk hours are shown in Figure 2. Aurora Hut: If you come to Inari, it is recommended to stay in the Aurora Hut, because the glass house is designed at the right angle to see the aurora. It is easy to spot the aurora in the house. After spotting it, I immediately went out to the lake to take pictures. The constant changes of the aurora are beautiful! The reserved wilderness cabin was upgraded to the Aurora cabin on site for 190 euros. At the same time, the upgrade fee for dinner is 48 euros per person, and there is also 80 euros per person for breakfast and tax. Key point: Be sure to book a room on Ctrip based on the actual number of people. This hotel includes breakfast and dinner. The food is good and highly recommended! Small town: There are two large supermarkets next to each other in the small town, and there is an Internet celebrity restaurant next to the museum. The Internet celebrity restaurant is crowded and requires reservation in advance, but if you are too lazy, you might as well just eat at the hotel buffet. Travel activities: There is also a travel company Visit Inari in the town. You can search their official website to book a reindeer cart. The travel agency will pick you up at the hotel door 15 minutes in advance. But in fact, there is an activity reservation center on the right side of the front desk of this wilderness igloo hotel as soon as you enter the door. This wilderness hotel has many activities, including ice fishing, motorboating, hiking, and aurora chasing. Just pay to sign up at the front desk and gather ten minutes in advance. All activities here are provided with a full set of outdoor professional equipment such as clothes, hats, gloves, and shoes. No need to worry about clothes at all! In terms of comfort, the Aurora Lodge is a little colder. After all, there is a large glass roof. If it snows, you don’t have to worry. There is a one-touch heating button in the house to melt snow, which is very convenient. There are still no slippers and bathrobes. If you need a sauna, you need to go to the front desk to make a reservation for 10 euros/half hour. I gave you the key and went to the sauna in the last row of the Aurora Lodge. The prison has three hours of daylight to use the sauna, otherwise it is pitch dark. Inari surprise: There are Tesla charging stations, remember to download the aurora forecast app and other reminders, so I went to the hotel lake to take pictures of the aurora. Inari can contact a taxi when going to Ivalo Airport. The taxi driver's business card is also in the picture. He is a local driver and the meter costs almost 100 euros. It is a good deal! You can also ask the front desk for recommendations. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is forty minutes away from the Levi ski resort. The check-in front desk is next to the white church. It is said that new people hold a ceremony here every week. Each single-family villa is surrounded by trees, and the privacy is good. At night, the glass in the small wooden roof can see the starry sky. When you are lucky, the aurora there is clear and clear. In the morning, you open the floor-to-ceiling curtains. The snow scene outside the wide viewing angle is super dreamy. Go to the former staff to respond positively to the email, the chef, Christmas dinner is also very good. Have the opportunity to come back and choose here.

XXiaojiejieIn the mountains~ It is more convenient to drive by yourself! There are not many people, very quiet~ It takes about half an hour to drive from Santa Claus Village Drive into the woods of the hotel. There is a kind of lonely beauty!! It is also very mysterious... There are also deer in the hotel! It’s a pity that I didn’t see the northern lights this time

GGuest UserThe accommodation is very poorly located, right next to the road, which makes it impossible to sleep well. The lights flicker until 3 a.m., making it impossible to stargaze or see the Northern Lights. If you're hoping to catch up on sleep in the morning, forget it! The Huskies start barking at 8 a.m. The bathroom is tiny, access to hot water is limited to 15 minutes (followed by 30 minutes of cold water), and using the sauna (in a separate area) costs around €100. I paid an extra €10 for a crib, even though the price is already clearly overpriced! The restaurant isn't very good, and people who have checked in or are about to leave walk right through the middle of the room, creating a terrible draft. I had to beg for hot milk at breakfast (which isn't offered). Furthermore, drinks are extra, even with half-board. The room is clearly too small for two adults and a child (plus a baby). The activities are overpriced. We had stayed in several places and only booked one night in this accommodation, and thank goodness! The value for money is absolutely terrible.

WWooi Wen YangSanta Claus Holiday Village Hotel – A Magical Stay in the Heart of Lapland I recently had the pleasure of staying at Santa Claus Holiday Village in Rovaniemi, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a festive atmosphere that truly captured the spirit of Christmas. The accommodation was cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Our cabin was spacious, featuring a private sauna—a perfect way to unwind after a chilly day outside. The room was well-equipped with modern amenities while still maintaining a charming, rustic feel. The location is unbeatable, situated right in the Santa Claus Village. It was incredibly convenient to visit Santa’s office, cross the Arctic Circle, and enjoy the various winter activities like husky sledding and reindeer rides. Plus, the breathtaking snowy landscapes made for unforgettable moments. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of hot and cold dishes, including traditional Finnish options. The on-site restaurants also provided delicious meals, with a cozy ambiance perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ensuring guests had the best experience possible. Whether it was arranging activities or providing recommendations, their service was top-notch.

GGuest UserIn the restaurant, it would be desirable if the staff knew even a little Finnish, since we are in Finland. The staff was wonderfully friendly and the restaurant was high-quality. The room was new, clean, small and the ventilation was bad (hot), I had to open the window. Some kind of level for the head of the bed would be good

EEmconcBad management during check in. I book an Apartment for 2 nights for this stay but I got the room for 1 night each. Staff told me I have to change room tomorrow and check out at 12PM. So that mean first night I stay and tomorrow check out 12PM and wait for a new room. Also, the apartment is very far from reception. Luckily, I have a car. Imagine if I don't have a car, I have to carry big luggage from the apartment to reception to check out and wait for new room later and move my luggage to new room again, how was it? Moreover, when I check out at 12PM staff told me the room will ready for check in around 2 hours. Then came back to check in again for second at 3PM another staff told me the room is not ready yet and policy for the Apartment check in time is 6PM. ***!!! I said I need the room now because this is unacceptable. Then staff told me the room is ready and give me the key card. So, for this situation I waste the time for half day to pack my luggage, move a lot of luggage to my car with a lot of snow, check out, go to reception for check out, wait the new room, wait, wait, wait, and come back to check in and got very bad answer that she told the room is not ready, and go to check in again, move my luggage to new apartment with a lot of snow, and take a rest. VERY BAD!!!!!

AAngelaFlyingAwesome service, the front counter guy is really nice and patient to help us in any quires. The room is clean with nice sea view. Feeling quite well to see the sky stars when lying down on the bed in the night and the morning sky is super beautiful. Plus, the hotel price includes free tickets for experience 365, we enjoyed a lot there. .

YYU_chocomintoThe location is fantastic, with a café on-site and plenty of attractions nearby. There's also a bus stop close by. The breakfast was lavish. However, for the sauna, the operating hours are short, and the temperature is a bit low. After a few people used the shower, the drain got clogged. I wouldn't recommend it if your main purpose is the sauna. While laundry service is available, it's quite expensive, so I opted for the self-service laundry near Rovaniemi Station instead.

CChris LumThis was a great location slightly out of the city to catch the Northern Lights without going on a tour (we saw it two nights out of two)! The glass cabins were well kept and clean, we were two adults and two teens and there was enough space for everyone. Note that this resort serves only five cabins and no one else, so the exclusivity is unsurpassed! It is also beside a frozen lake and you can walk to the middle to catch the auroras. A lot of nature activities to occupy the family in the daytime. Some recommendations would be the sauna+frozen lake dip, ice fishing and hiking to the rock church. The founder of the resort, Theo, is ultra friendly and nice and all the staff there (shoutout to Millie and Guillaume!) really go above and beyond to help make our stay there so memorable. All the photos uploaded I took with just my iphone16. All in I was extremely happy we chose this place for the Rovaniemi leg of our trip.

KKim_10The staff was really amazing, very friendly. I wasn’t very impressed by the room. The heating was not fully working, there were no basic amenities like a kettle, or even drinking water. Biggest concern was cleanliness as I asked for cleaning on one occasion and beds were poorly made, sheets weren’t changed, the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned as there a piece of paper on the floor which was clearly visible, tissues weren’t restocked and also one of the over covers from the bed was removed and just chucked over the ironing board which was absolutely horrifying to see. Food at the hotel was good and restaurant staff were also very helpful.
