The sea outside the window is colorful and has distinct layers on sunny days and rainy days. The meal package unlocks three different meals every day. Dandan noodles have 3 flavors from top to bottom. The bottom layer is Thai chili sauce, which is also delicious. Wontons are like Vietnamese noodles, with vermicelli and meat filling inside. The ice cup tastes very strange, and the thick and thick soup is full of spices, and pepper is added. The most delicious western food, Q-elastic and firm fish, roasted crispy meat, duck legs... Another non-alcoholic drink feels great. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic. I knew I didn’t drink coffee on the second day of my stay. I didn’t drink water in the morning. I recommended hot cocoa and almond milk. I would greet them enthusiastically every day. I would ask about my gains and chat with people I met after sea fishing. I sang when I checked in and out. The tenor and soprano were super nice. It was the best experience.
I had a disappointing experience relating to service. My room had no wifi upon check in. I made the staff aware of this straight away, yet nothing was done until mid-morning the next day after I insisted it be resolved. All up I had to visit reception 2 times and call reception 5 times before they finally sent someone for a rather quick fix. When I called reception (outside of check in/out hours) often there was no answer. Furthermore, I paid for an oceanview room with 2 single beds, at check in I confirmed this was what I booked and requested that the room was not overlooking the pool. All these requests were ignored, and I was given a pool room with 1 bed, with no explanation for why.
While the staff are friendly (most hospitality staff across Fiji are), for a ”5” Star resort I found the service very lacking.
Service beyond expectations, well presented clear communication to get better results
Pio & Stellas team expectations and services will give better results and help company with success
Traveling with family (2 adults + 3 kids) from USA. We had a great time there. Kids absolutely the pools/beach/soccer field/the grill/pizza restaurant by the pool. Very quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We have been to Tahiti before and found this Marriott Momi Bay is even more relaxing, romantic, and picturesque than Tahiti. But there are also some pros: 1) the location is in the middle of nowhere (though no so far from Nadi). So once you are there, you will be pretty much stuck there; 2) food at the main restaurant is just average. They have an Asian food section for breakfast/dinner buffet, but quite a joke (to our standards, as Chinese Americans). The fish bar is awesome but requires a bit of walking/buggy ride; 3) snorkeling wise, the fish is not as colorful as in Tahiti, but is still very good; and 4) the layout of our room (2 beds by the pond) is not so much different from an upscale city business hotel.
Overall, if you are just looking for a relaxing time in a resort, this would absolutely be great place. But if you are looking for a new cultural/food/city adventure, this would not be the right place.
The location is right by the sea and the scenery is very good. The distance from the market next to it is not far away, and it takes 10 minutes to walk. The hotel's environment and service are good. Note that the hotel does not include meals and the breakfast fee is 40 Fiji. Chinese food and dinner are usually eaten outside.
The hotel building is very unique! The scenery is unique! There are museums, presidential palaces and embassy areas around. The hotel also has a small map introducing the surrounding area! We basically just followed the mini map. One night in Suva is enough
Second time for us to stay here this hotel!
This time we were able to stay at the pool view, we appreciate the kind help from reception assistance manger Aman as well as Keleshi’s help!
We recommend Intercontinental if it’s first time to visit Fiji because of below reason!
-friendly stuffs who are willing to help us always with beautiful smiles! May stuffs try to remember us and feet us personally which makes it it stay even more pleasant and we can see that they do it from their heart!
-spacious dining with great choice of food for lunch/dinner with love music everyday and some activities at the bar lounge
-Intercontinental has got public beach just in front and we can enjoy beach as well as Infinity pool for adults. What I love about this hotel is that we don’t need to go other places to enjoy beach as we can get to see colouful fishes with our own snorkels!
-spacious room and bathtub on a big balcony is something great and you can relax at the balcony even it’s raining day!
Thank you for the another beautiful stay and we will definitely come back!!
Beautiful stay at this quite new modern style hotel surrounded by lagoon! But it’s sad that there is no beach to enjoy there.
*room- it’s small but they have everything we need and amenities is quite good and they bring us enough tea en coffee during our stay. They maintain a room quite clean so it was very comfortable staying here. We can see it’s new and good design as well!
*breakfast-variety choice of food that you can fully enjoy! They even had a Mimosa drink and you will never get bored with beautiful and tasty food they prepare!
*facility- it’s quite big so to reach to the infinity pool it takes time to get there on foot and there was not enough baggy so had to walk all the way there. And even though this hotel itself is big but infinity pool is quite small and each seat is too close to each other so I felt it’s a hit congested and didn’t feel so relax being there. But surroundings are beautiful we can see mountains and oceans. Blue lagoon view from our room was also beautiful!
*Stuffs- sorry to compare to other hotel but some of the stuffs are not as friendly as other stuffs we met at other hotel. Some are lovely but I felt they’re so tired of helping us. But the driver who helped us to give us a loft to the airport, he was very friendly and nice, we can see he is willing to help us and made us comfortable till the end of our trip! Thank you Maffie! ( sorry not sure about spelling ) And the receptionist lady was very attentive when we checked in-Sweta, she was willing to prepare a room for us even we arrived a bit early than the check-in time, thank you!
The hotel restaurant is good. The room is large and the health is OK but not particularly good. The hotel is across the road from the beach to the sea. It is a bit strange that the Fijian people are friendly to the Chinese.
This is not up to standard with a 5-star resort. Overall it’s a nice stay, but overpriced and don’t go expecting 5-star luxury. It unfortunately has not kept up with the maintenance it has needed over the years.
Negatives
- had aircon issues and slept without aircon, they moved us rooms to fix this
- had a leak above our shower in both tooms
- fridge was broken in both rooms
- lack of pool towels for number of guests, tried getting a pool towel on multiple occasions to be told they were out. When we eventually got some they were stained.
- lack of snorkle gear for guests, we unfortunately couldn’t snorkle because they were always out. We spoke to other guests who went and bought some because they couldn’t get any either
- aircon in rooms is very loud
- internet access drops out constantly
- we couldn’t watch tv as the internet was down for netflix on the tv and we were told we could only watch it on phones or ipads
- food menus in the room are dirty and falling apart
Positives
- most of the staff is really friendly
- adults only pool is calm and quiet
- good assortment of activities and things to do in the hotel
- staff is mostly helpful when you need things
We actually tried to refund the end of our stay so we could leave. I wouldn’t recommend it to people and just know if you do stay here it is more like a 3 to 4 star resort.

GGuest UserWell the staff and people are all to accomodating. Lovely people , helpful and try very hard. Friendly and do their best. Rooms are dated and need maintenance, they were half empty so perfect time to do a room at a time. The bed has been turned around from the side of the room to the middle. Good outlook , but now no PowerPoints to charge phones etc. light switch you have to get out of bed to switch lights off at front door now. Configuration is out of whack. These need doing asap. No toilet roll holder. Just screw holes where it was originally. After complaining they fitting one. Shower head needed to move around to get wet. There are pack of dogs that frequent back of the resort. My first night I arrived 12 midnight. Dogs yelped and barked to 2am from what I know because I finally fell asleep. I told them about it. Seemed like they had some workers chase them away for a few nights. But there was 2 more nights the barking happened again. So 3 out of 6 night. Breakfast was good. But no bacon 3 days out of 6. Not on. Money exchange rate was awful. 1 to 1.30 Fiji. I actually went to resort up the road 1 to 1.42 , the taxi through the hotel was 30 Fiji dollars dearer than the rest. Example went to ghecko resort for dinner. 60 Fiji return trip taxi I booked. Hotel wanted 100. Need a profit but not accomodating guest very well. Booked outside all transport. Dinner was good assortment. But went out few times. Better cuisine outside. No wifi in the rooms or resort unless you go to the front reception area. Big drama. Heard numerous people saying this is ridiculous and checked out early. One couple booked in. Went to there room. Ask at reception where’s the wifi. Told only available here in reception. They said check us out now. We are going elsewhere. Could be a lovely resort. Staff workers are all there. Area and position is good. Just need management to get their stuff together. First is wifi immediately and then rooms maintenance

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though.
Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available.
There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops.
The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling!
My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

GGuest UserReception comes with a warm welcome, then the real thing started.
Finding a room with Aircond took 1 hour.
In an area with no taxi, reception often mark up $10 for calling one for you.
No food or store around, hotel food close at 6pm.
There is thief trying to get in and knock on doors from 8pm to 1am. They are led by security to check if no one then open the door to search for valuables.
Reception and a strong guy knock on the door at 1am and told me to pay again by cash because my previous payment card denied. I show them my credit debit record, and refused to be rip off.
There is bed bugs and cockroach in the room as well as on the bed.
Water from tab is yellow.
Given 2 small soap, no shampoo, no others
I would suggest to take something with free airport pick up. Never recommend this hotel as it’s a rip off.

SsabsabhoThe road to the resort is a bit bumpy and nothing is really near to the resort (restaurants/ convenient stores etc.), so you will need to call a taxi every time you need to go out or get supplies. The room itself is not super bright and the furnitures were a bit wear out. The resort is literally on a beach, so do expect to have quite some mosquito whenever you are on your way back to your room, and it's also tricky for travellers with big luggages to carry their bags to their rooms, since there are few steps of stairs to the door of your room and the pathway is sand. However, if you are here for a short stay, I think it would be ok to look past that.
If you are looking to stay for a night in Nadi, and going to the islands for the next few days, I suggest looking for other accommodations in downtown Nadi, such as Nalagi Hotel. As we drive past other hotels such as Mercury Hotel, it seems like a motel as well, so it might be best to look for something downtown.
GGuest UserCheck in was easy but they almost forgot to give us our room key. The whole trip the key didn't work to get in and out of our room so we had to get staff to let us ion every time. They said they upgraded us but when we got there there was only 1 bed. We asked numerous times to get the bed ready but by the 3rd time we asked they eventually did it. Room was fine for what we needed with mini fridge, littler back deck to sit on which was nice and enough space. The bathroom was ok however, we had a shower and the shower head started spinning cold water everywhere but we managed to get over that. The pools were great and to have water slide and nice chairs round the pool made the day go quick as we we hung out there for a few hours. The food was good and having music all day was enjoyable. The check out was easy and courtesy bus worked out really well.so all in all a few issues but nothing major and had everything we required
