🤔 Does Air China offer a transit hotel service for passengers?

Yes. You may be eligible to use an Air China transit hotel when travelling with the airline, provided you meet certain conditions. Flights operated by Shenzhen Airlines or Shandong Airlines may also qualify, but only if at least one of the connecting flights is operated by Air China.

First, here is an overview of the Air China Transit Hotel service:

QuestionAnswer

Is the Air China Transit Hotel free?

Yes

Who is eligible for the Air China Transit Hotel service?

Connecting passengers who meet all the eligibility requirements

In which cities are Air China Transit Hotels available?

Beijing (PKX and PEK), Chengdu (TFU), Shanghai (PVG), Hangzhou (HGH), Tianjin (TSN) and Wenzhou (WNZ)

A standard room, return shuttle transfers or accompanied transport (not included with Deluxe Transit Hotel bookings at Chengdu TFU or Beijing PEK), and the hotel's standard breakfast

When can I book an Air China Transit Hotel?

As soon as you have purchased your Air China ticket, but at least 24 hours before the arrival of your first flight for a Standard Transit Hotel, or at least 50 hours in advance for a Deluxe Transit Hotel

Can I book an Air China Transit Hotel after arriving?

No. You must book in advance. However, you can ask at the transfer service desk or airline counter whether any rooms are still available at a transit hotel. Availability is not guaranteed, even if you book in advance, and you are not entitled to a room.

Do I need to leave the transit area and pass through immigration?

Yes. All Air China Transit Hotels are located outside the airport's transit area.

📌 Trip.com tip: Unlike the China Eastern Airlines Transit Hotel, an Air China Transit Hotel must be booked in advance. Rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so bookings are only possible if rooms are still available.

The Air China transit hotel service is free of charge for passengers who meet the eligibility requirements. The package includes one night's hotel accommodation, breakfast and return transfers between the airport and hotel. However, return transfers are not included for Deluxe Hotel bookings at Chengdu Tianfu (TFU) and Beijing Capital (PEK) airports.

You do not need to collect or transfer your checked baggage yourself, as Air China will handle it and arrange for it to be transferred to your next flight.
