The cleanliness of the hotel room is such a disappointment. The bathroom wall grouting & silicon was moldy, and spider webs were in the room. The TV and aircon vent were super dusty. The aircon, even off, was extremely cold. The overall cleanliness is terrible, with noticeable dust accumulating in several areas. It was disappointing and not up to the hygiene standards one would expect from a hotel room. To make matters worse, the cleanliness issues persisted even after the room was supposedly cleaned. The bathroom grouting remained moldy, spider webs lingered, and the attendant neglected to vacuum away the hairs on the floor. The bed has insects, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. This consistent neglect of hygiene standards throughout my stay was disappointing and unacceptable. This lack of attention to detail further emphasized the subpar cleanliness standards, contributing to an unsatisfactory stay.

Breakfast was average only, not much variety and food was slightly cold. Location of hotel was excellent, next to Wanhua station. A short distance walk (~10 min) to Longshan Temple station). There is Family mart convenience store at Wanhua station and a 7-eleven nearby. Room was quite small, dusty. Would not fit 2 huge luggages. It was rated as 5 star hotel but the amenities were not well maintained (e.g. dirty shower head, dusty bedside table, stained bathtub). Towels have to be hung leaning on the slightly stained walls outside as the shower room is too small. Separated toilet bowl and shower room. There is no separation between the toilet as the sink is located within the room. Bed was also abit too soft resulting in aching back in the morning and only 2 soft pillows provided.

We stayed in the Kirin extension of the hotel, which offers a big balcony with a view of Taipei’s night sky. The extension is quieter compared to the main building and has a Family Mart on the ground level, offering a wide selection of delicious microwaveable ready meals. Not keen to eat in brightly lit and busy restaurants, we decided to have a private meal from Family Mart on the balcony with a city view. All in all, it was very enjoyable stay!

The service was pretty standard. Half hearted average service. Breakfast was horrible though. Better option to not just get breakfast and go elsewhere. They could have made the price cheaper and not have breakfast. Lol...

The location is close to Ximen night market (walk less than 5 minutes) but not too close to hear the noise from the market. Staff are super helpful.we leave the luggage at the hotel on date before check in and after check out as our flight is late at night. We get back to pick up the luggage and they kept it next to their counter and we feel secured. The room clean and well function,bathrooms also clean and the water very stable.

Love the location which is at the Ximending area and in front of the subway exit, convenient to roam till late at night. However disappointed upon finding out the room we stay due to the lack of details upon booking. It was advertised as room with window but not able to open. But in fact it is a small window (around 60cm? Width) facing the next building window hence need to close it all the time. Perhaps it would be better to know ahead that this is a room without window or view to avoid disappointment. Bed is firm and size of the room is good. Design of toilet and shower area is good but the choice of tiles could be better to avoid mold which is apparent at the shower area. Breakfast spread is decent and healthier choice kind.

It is a very old hotel. All things were old. It has very good view but unfortunately we stayed at low floor. Only found out when we had breakfast @ 12th floor The location m is not bad. 5mins to Ximending. No need to worry for the food, there aer lots of selection.

New hotel with smart devices in the room. The toilet bowl is so high tech that it keep flushing water whenever it scanned movement. Location is convenient. 10min walk to Jiantan MRT and Shi Lin Night Market. There are good local food for breakfast, beef noodle stall, Family Mart and 7-eleven all within walking distance, abt 5min. Pricing is reasonable too.

Large bed but a bit small room so not much space left to put luggage down. Quite clean, no window room btw. Not sure if i got headache from the AC straight to my bed or not but next day i turn it down so no more

What I like most is that there is a 26-year-old girl named Lily in the housekeeping department who cleans the room very seriously and carefully. She is a very kind and polite child! Let me see that Taiwan has hope of becoming one of the Four Asian Tigers again! Location is good as near to mrt xiao nan gang station. Near to Carrefour as well. Clean and nice…. My room view can see Taipei 101… Oh ya the hotel is along the green line

The hotel staff has excellent service, the parking space is great, the room is spacious and not crowded, the breakfast dishes are rich, the split system allows the number of diners to be well controlled, and the replenishment speed is also very fast. Overall, it is worth visiting again!

The room is great, great I was hastily planning my trip to Taichung and randomly found this accommodation that was affordable and close to the train station online. The location is just a 3-5 minute walk from Taichung Station, and a 1-2 minute walk from Miyahara Eye Clinic (you can take the ice cream back to the hotel to enjoy it after you buy it). The hotel is very clean, just like other hotels in Taiwan. If you want to clean it, just tell them the next day. The room is very large and spacious. When packing your luggage, you can spread it out and pack it slowly. The soundproofing is pretty good. I heard the sound of cars on the street but not the people next door. There is a public self-service area in the lobby with self-service tea and coffee, which is large and comfortable. The decoration is movie-themed and stylish! The bed was as others said, on the firm side (which I love). My husband thought the pillow was on the high side, but I thought it was OK. Fortunately, I brought a travel pillow. The bathroom is very spacious and comfortable to use. The double room includes vegetarian breakfast, which is delicious. After staying for three days, the style has changed slightly. I hope that a luggage rack and a chair with a back can be added to the room, that would be perfect. In addition, I think the Yidi area should be very suitable for wheelchair users. I remember that there are no steps on the entire floor, which is a very friendly design.

We are visiting Alishan, Sun-moon lake so make a stop at Taichung and we find this is a nice hotel and nice room and facilities are well equipt , we like hotel breadfast at the cafe which supply a bit variety of Asian food + American food too. It's a pity we only for a night , next trip I will plan to come back here for few days stay to explore Taitung.

The hotel is right next to Taichung train station and Tarako mall which both have food court with many food options. There are buses around the station can take you anywhere around Taichung including Sun Moon lake. The buffet breakfast was good with mainly Chinese/********* food options. We stayed in a family room which was just big enough and had space to be able to open our suitcases. The staff were very polite.

Location is quite a distance from the city centre. Need to walk 10-15min to find local shops and eateries. Just across the hotel got a good-size supermarket. Bought local fruits for breakfast. No malls, night markets or shopping areas nearby. Room is spacious but rather old that needs upgrading. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but selection rather limited. No yogurt and limited selection of fruits. Overall a reasonable good stay.

A hotel with quite a unique flavor! The location is also very good. It's close to the train station and can be reached by walking to the nearby Second Market! Moreover, the service staff was very considerate. I forgot my facial cleanser when I checked out and even called and texted me to tell me! Compared with the price of another hotel in Tainan where I stayed the next night, the price was about the same, but the difference was thousands of miles!

The room is of good size for two, was clean and equipped with modern furnishing and toilet fittings. Good 32-inch TV with Hollywood and Chinese movies in addition to local ********* channels. The room rates included chinese breakfast. I think the spread is quite wide and taste good. Only con is that it is rather far from shopping areas, Fengjia night market or the train or bus stations. There is local bus service 30 and 89 outside the hotel which comes twice an hour. Service 11 loop around Taichung city that comes once and hour. But due to local traffic conditions, the arrival time stated on Google or local bus app are not accurate.

A city hotel with a children's playground and rich brunch. Staying in a superior triple room with no window or bathtub on weekdays in November 2023. The room is novel, stylish and clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff at the counter explained in detail, and their attitude was great, which is worthy of praise. The ice-warm water dispenser is in a small room next to the lobby on the first floor. Breakfast is Phoenix Food Hall brunch, a multi-national buffet buffet. It is served from 7 am to 1 noon. The meal time is two hours. The dishes are diverse and there are six kinds of fruits. Unfortunately, the quality of the fruits is not very good. The specialty is Starbucks Coffee and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel building from B2 to B5. The entrance and exit are on Yanagawa East Road. There are many parking spaces, but the parking lot is not dedicated. When the occupancy rate is high, it may be full and there will be no parking spaces. Tenants can park for free for 24 hours. There is a dedicated elevator in the parking lot directly to the hotel. hall.

Good if you wish to have a short stay within Taichung. It's about 5 mins walk away from the Taichung Second Market and near railway station + the famous attraction. The room was spacious enough for a family of 4.

It's my first time to stay here. There are quite a lot of parking spaces and the location is quite large. It's very convenient to get in and out of the car and pick up luggage. The lobby is spacious and comfortable. The check-in instructions are detailed. I think the special thing is that the hotel provides late night snacks, which is rare. Service; The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Fengjia Night Market. It is very convenient and highly recommended.

Hotel situated nearby to Houyi Metro Station, Red Line No R12 which is also 4 stations away from Zouying High Spreed Rail station (R16). Nearby eatery has Japanese Restaurant and Coffee shops just cross the street and Family Mart store only 100 meters away. The rooms and amenities are good l, the only is the size of the rooms only 15 meters. If you don’t mind, for stay is just nice. Need to take note, not all rooms have a window and facing city. Some has no windows but the price is lower. We bought rooms with breakfast during our stays, although not an international buffet, but just nice to make full for morning meal.

The location is good for self-driving, but the service of Ubike is available just 50m away. The breakfast is awesome, and the room is clean with a wonderful city view. The staff is polite, supportive and always wearing a smile. The facilities of swimming pool, mini gym, and sauna are available. Highly recommended and will definitely order again.

The staffs are accommodating, the room is quite spacious, location is great, near Formosa Boulevard MRT (Dome of Light) and only 2 minutes walk to Liuhe Night market. There is also a bus stop around so I can travel easily.

This hotel is a fantastic place. Classic hotel with huge rooms, and spacious bathroom. The best part is an outdoor pool, its clean and very big. I absolutely enjoyed a week staying in Howard Plaza. Strongly recommended.

Photos are a bit different from the actual room, but given the price its still acceptable. If you are going to be out the whole day and only require a good night’s sleep then this hotel is ok. There’s also a game area. 3/5.

A very FINE hotel (pun intended). The room was big. We had a big bathroom with a huge shower. The lobby has snacks, vending machine and water dispenser. The bed is super comfortable with quality quilts and pillows. Would book again

The location is good. Service is good as well. My daugther forgot her cap at one restaurant in kaosiung. The hotel counter helped her reached out to that restaurant and get the cap back without any fee! The room is also spacious and cuteee. Would definitely recommend here.

The hotel room has been renovated. It is clean and bright. The TV is large and can be used to watch movies. The service staff on the second floor are friendly and provide coffee and biscuits in the evening. There is a large parking lot near the hotel. The location is very convenient. I will stay there again next time.
