Very convenient location right opposite Terminal 1, with a covered walkway and elevator—great when carrying heavy luggage or during bad weather
Due to a Trip.com mistake, we were given a smaller and older room than booked, but it was still comfortable. The queen bed was good, bathroom small but fine, and the airport-facing view was nice.
Free drinks at the lobby and free breakfast were a plus.
Overall, a good choice for staying near the airport before an early flight.

Had a fantastic stay at Nagoya JR Gate Tower Hotel. The location is unbeatable — directly above Nagoya Station, making it incredibly convenient for Shinkansen, trains, shopping and dining. Perfect base for exploring Nagoya and nearby cities.
The room was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Even though Japanese rooms can be compact, the layout was smart and functional, with great city views. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and amenities were thoughtful and well maintained.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience, comfort and easy access to everything. Would definitely stay here again! 😊

The hotel's location is quite good; it's not far from the station or Sakae, and it's a relatively quiet area. There's a FamilyMart nearby, which is very convenient for shopping, and plenty of highly-rated restaurants, making dining very easy.
The room size is decent for the price, offering good value for money, but it doesn't have a bathtub, which is quite unusual for Japan.

This is an older hotel, and while it shows its age a bit, it's incredibly well-maintained and spotlessly clean. It's perfectly situated at Kanayama Station, one of Nagoya's major transportation hubs. You can take the Meitetsu line directly from the airport, and other subway lines offer easy access to various Nagoya attractions. Right outside, you'll find an art museum, convenience stores, and a wide array of restaurants. It offers excellent value for money.

I’ve seen hairs around the sofa area. Location of this hotel is not prime location, can’t walk out to tourists street. But we came w a rental car, so it’s doesn’t matter. Just quiet room and very spacious room. Just across the hotel there’s one breakfast spot where the old Japanese man that sells simple and red bean paste bread. Just 1 min walk from the hotel. But the wait is more than 30 mins, bcs the stall is super small.

The service at the reception on the 18th floor and in the rooms was excellent, and the swimming pool and gym staff were also great. However, the service at the Wu Ren (懷石料理) and Italian Cava Nova restaurants was really lacking. For Wu Ren, which is supposed to be a top-tier kaiseki restaurant, the sommelier and the servers bringing dishes had poor English and seemed unwilling to communicate. It felt like they just wanted to drop off the food and leave, expecting guests to read the menu themselves. While this might be acceptable in other casual restaurants, is it the standard for a kaiseki establishment? The hotel should clarify if this is indeed their service protocol. The Italian restaurant was even worse – they offered virtually no service. They were initially friendly, but as soon as they heard English, they immediately said there were no tables available, shooed us away with a gesture, and turned their heads and walked off. The hotel also needs to confirm if this is their standard service procedure for this restaurant.
The room is spacious and the location is convenient. It is a 5-minute walk from Toyohashi Station. It is convenient for shopping and eating around. The fireplace in the hotel lobby is well designed and very warm. The breakfast is rich in variety. The view and dishes complement each other when you sit by the window on the 16th floor.

This was my second stay at this hotel because my first experience was so great. The night view is absolutely unbeatable, overlooking Nagoya. It's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining in the Sakae district; there's a brand new mall right downstairs with Montbell and Blue Bottle Coffee.
However, there was a small hiccup during this stay. I was suddenly woken up at 4 AM by the fire alarm and a loud broadcast announcement. It took a while before I could fall back asleep. The next day, I saw an explanation saying it was either a guest smoking or accidentally pressing the fire alarm in the elevator.
We stayed here for a night to catch a morning flight the next day. The hotel itself is about 15-20 mins walk to the terminal but it provides free shuttle bus service in the morning starting from 6.40am. There's also a free shuttle bus in front of the hotel taking guests to the nearby Aeon Mall in Tokoname where you can shop and dine. Buffet breakfast has a wide variety on offer and the hotel room has a nice view of the ocean.
The hotel is beautiful and the service is great. We were on a road trip and the free parking was a huge bonus – I'd really recommend this hotel if you're driving! The old man at the parking lot was so enthusiastic and helpful; we arrived very late, but he patiently helped us park and kept running around to assist. We felt so bad! As for the room, we had a quad room and it was incredibly spacious. It's definitely recommended for larger groups, and it even has a super big balcony.

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!

FFAN_CI really like TIAD's decor, which is why I chose it over a very well-located Marriott. It's right above a subway exit. To get to Nagoya JR Station, you need to transfer twice, so a taxi is more convenient, costing between 1900-2200 JPY. The hotel's amenities are outstanding, including a Bioprogramming hairdryer (though only 4D). They provide London EH toiletries, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. There's even underfloor heating in front of the sink. Overall, the experience was great, but the turndown service could be a bit more attentive.
Aapril408We really love this hotel. Location is great as it is next to a garden and historical tea house. It's a short walk to Inuyama Castle and we do have the castle as our lovely breakfast view.
The room is big and comes with a balcony with a nice view of the surrounding area. There is also an onsen at the hotel with indoor and outdoor baths!
Hotel is also a short, scenic walk from the train station. I would love to come back again!
GGuest UserI stayed for three nights and was very satisfied. The room was spacious, not cramped at all, and I even got upgraded to a higher floor. It's very close to the Sakae shopping district, with all the malls just about a 15-minute walk away. In the other direction is Shin-Sakae, where you can find quite a few Chinese restaurants. There's a Sugi pharmacy right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for buying cosmetics, daily necessities, and food – I shopped there every day. For breakfast, you can choose between the ground floor buffet or the second-floor Japanese set meal. I'd definitely recommend the buffet on the ground floor; it has a wide variety, including名古屋特色的烤鸡翅 (Nagoya-style fried chicken wings), though it can get a bit crowded. The service was also excellent, absolutely flawless. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Nagoya. The only thing to note is that the road leading to Sakae is a gentle uphill slope, which might be a little tiring if you're pushing a stroller.

CChyarlesExcellent service, room was comfortable with superb view of the city but a wee bit noisy at night till the train service stopped, club lounge was a plus but it closed too early (9pm), breakfast was ok particularly loved the French toast and very very delicious gelato although strangely enough fried eggs weren’t available daily and fruit choices were meagre (orange, honeydew and pineapple). A pleasant stay overall.
Hhavealucky8The room size was satisfactory, and the breakfast was great! It's super convenient for getting around. Even with the rain, I didn't even have to leave the JR Shinkansen station; I could go directly to the hotel entrance. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, and Takashimaya is right next door for easy shopping. Plus, there are lots of drugstores inside the station.
