Piaoluo## Facilities:
1. **Outdated and Poorly Designed**: The facilities are quite old, and the design is impractical. For example, the shower and toilet are in the same area within the bathroom, with no separation. This means if someone is using the toilet, no one can shower, and vice-versa.
2. **Misleading Advertising**: Figures 1 and 2 in the hotel's promotional images, which are crucial for customers before booking, are completely different from what you see upon entering the room (as shown in the last three pictures). I'd like to ask the hotel management: where is the bathtub from your promotional photos? It's turned into a concrete basin, and it's incredibly dirty inside. There was no prior notification upon check-in – it's a complete mismatch from what was advertised.
3. **Hazardous Staircase**: The stairs in the room are extremely steep. You have to be very careful going up, and when going down, you *must* descend backward as per the hotel's instructions, because it's impossible to go down facing forward without falling.
4. **No Internal Elevator**: The hotel doesn't have its own internal elevator, and the staircases within the hotel are also very steep, making it genuinely difficult to carry luggage upstairs.
## Hygiene:
The overall hygiene in the room is acceptable. The wooden floor on the second level is clean, but that dirty carpet really shouldn't be there.
## Environment:
The hotel has been converted from a two-story commercial building. It's not noisy at night and is conveniently located within walking distance of the ancient city's snack street, Nanqiao Bridge, and the subway station.
## Service:
Service is just okay. After checking in, they provide some guide articles about nearby attractions and restaurants, but that's about it.

I chose this guesthouse because I've recently been getting into mindfulness meditation. The concept of a 'meditation hotel under the snow-capped mountains' really resonated with me. The person who came up with this idea is a lovely woman who also owns the hotel. It's a shame I didn't get to meet her during my two-day stay, but I was lucky enough to be there during a heavy snowfall. It snowed at night and cleared up during the day. Some people wait a whole year for snow and don't get it, yet we stumbled upon it. On the flip side, some travelers came during bad weather and couldn't even see the snow-capped mountains.
I recall a quote in the guesthouse's elevator that said, 'Meet the snow-capped mountain in your heart.' In truth, the mountain is already within us, yet people are always searching for the one they can see with their eyes.
This guesthouse offers every convenience you could possibly imagine, and then some. I won't list them all here, but I urge my friends to choose this guesthouse without hesitation.

Guest UserThe environment here is fantastic, with pristine forest right behind the property. On clear days, you can even see snow-capped mountains across the way and behind us, though it's quite atmospheric even on cloudy days. It's truly untouched; we saw wild rabbits hopping around and herders' horses grazing nearby. The breakfast was delicious, and the yak hotpot we had for dinner was pretty good too. I also highly recommend exploring the village down the mountain.

Guest UserThe owner is incredibly welcoming, and the pick-up/drop-off service to Emei Mountain Station was excellent! They even helped us store our luggage. The hotel's location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants downstairs and a supermarket nearby for easy shopping. It's also super convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the Huangwan Tourist Center. The bathroom features a dry and wet separation, and our family room was very spacious. They even provided welcome fruit and snacks. The soundproofing is great; it wasn't noisy at all. Breakfast was very plentiful, and they thoughtfully prepared zongzi for Dragon Boat Festival! Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe owner is super nice! There's also an adorable little dog named ”Huahua” who is incredibly gentle and not afraid of people. She even does targeted 'fan service' – absolutely adorable!!!
The guesthouse is very close to the entrance of Changping Valley Scenic Area. The surrounding infrastructure is excellent, with supermarkets and breakfast shops nearby.
The guesthouse facilities are top-notch, and the rooms are very clean. Plus, they have underfloor heating and free oxygen bags, so we slept incredibly comfortably at night! The first floor has a restaurant and a bar, beautifully decorated – perfect for taking photos, haha.
The yak hotpot is also amazing, delicious and great value for money. Highly recommend!

Crayon TravelsOverall
This was an absolutely stunning stay — one of the best I've experienced, and it truly blew us away. We had a balcony room with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The resort is run by a warm couple and a team of locals who were wonderfully attentive and helpful, arranging our transportation from Chengdu to their doorstep and back.
The food was exceptional — wholesome, nourishing and deeply local. The dinner hotpot hit the spot on a cold night, and breakfast was healthy and energising — exactly what you need before a long day of hiking. The room itself was spectacular; waking up to pine trees dusted with snow and a clear mountain view was something else. On a clear night, you could stargaze from the balcony and melt into the rocking chair. Simply blissful and a good escape from the city life. Highly recommend NPS 10.
🏨 Room — 10/10
Great layout, comfortable bed, a warm toilet seat on a cold morning, spacious, and most importantly — a stunning view. The hotel is relatively new, having opened in 2025 according to the owners.
🧹 Cleanliness — 10/10
Spotless throughout. All common areas were new and well kept.
👋 Staff Friendliness & Responsiveness — 10/10
The couple who run the place are genuinely lovely — always on hand to ensure you have a great stay. Responsive over WeChat to help coordinate logistics ahead of the trip, and they'll drop you at the entrance of the main hiking sites. Other staff were equally helpful. The primary language is Chinese, but they are patient and a translation app works perfectly fine.
📍 Location — 9/10
A 10-minute drive from both Changping and Shuangqiao valleys. Not much in the immediate surroundings — quaint little farms, grazing cows, and steep hills that will test anyone not yet acclimatised.
🍽️ Food & Drink — 9/10
The hotpot on both nights was incredibly nourishing and full of flavour, featuring a variety of local wild vegetables and mushrooms. There is also a stir-fry menu with a solid selection of local dishes, though we stuck to the hotpot both evenings.
🌅 View/Scenery — 11/10
Snowcapped peaks and beautiful pine forests as far as the eye can see (visited in April). I could have sat and stared out the window all day.
🏃 Activities & Surroundings — 10/10
The mountains and hiking trails are the main draw here — and honestly, the only activity you'll ever need. Shuangqiao is absolutely gorgeous and you could spend a whole day there if you like to hike(instead of just taking the bus). Changping is more for hikers, no bus service with a different charm, I love it more cause it was less touristy.
The immediate area is quiet — everything you need is within the hotel itself. Stock up on essentials in the city, or check with staff ahead of time if there's anything specific you need. It's a hillside town, four hours from Chengdu.

Dora_ZJThe biggest plus of this hotel is its incredibly close proximity to the scenic spots – just a few minutes' walk away. The room size was a bit cramped, but I did like the simple and refreshing wooden decor. However, the soundproofing was really subpar. I could hear the front desk staff chatting all the way up in my third-floor room. While I'm sure the staff didn't intend for their conversations to be so loud, it was definitely disruptive to guests. The most unacceptable thing, though, was a staff member opening my room door and walking in without knocking. I never received a reasonable explanation from the hotel even when I checked out. Plus, the windows in the room were dusty, and there was hair left on the shower walls. For a price that's nearly four figures, I really felt it wasn't worth it.

Guest UserOn our second night at Mount Siguniang, we experienced altitude sickness. We contacted the concierge around 2 AM, and they responded incredibly quickly. They brought us a thermometer, took us to the clinic in the middle of the night, waited while we received oxygen, and then brought us back to our room. The entire communication process was very smooth and efficient. We are extremely grateful! 🙏 The room and breakfast were good, and the service was beyond words. The hotel staff handled our luggage, even when we offered to carry it ourselves.

Everything was amazing from start to end. Our host picked us up from the train station and took us directly to the accomodation. He waited while we got changed to quickly shuttle us to the pickup area for the bus to the Golden Summit. At the end of the day, he was waiting for us to shuttle us back to the hotel.
The hotel’s location is spectacular and our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains.
We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast, likewise, was really tasty.
The staff really made us feel comfortable and were available to answer questions and provide suggestions at any time. Felt like a very luxurious stay.

Stayed at Bliss Qintai ******* Boutique Hotel and it was a unique and memorable stay in Chengdu.
The design of the hotel really stands out, with Tibetan-inspired interiors that give it a very distinct character compared to standard hotels. It feels warm, artistic, and different in a good way.
The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, with enough space to relax after a long day of exploring. The overall atmosphere of the property is calm and cozy.
Location-wise, it’s convenient for getting around the city, with easy access to nearby attractions and local areas.
The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth.
If you want a stay that feels a bit more special and culturally inspired rather than just functional, this is a great option. For a more detailed look at the property and my Chengdu experience, you can check my YouTube channel travelwithshreya.
Overall, a very pleasant and distinctive stay.
