Hanoi Hostels

This great hostel is in a great location in the old quarter alongside a busy road. The staff are really good and the check in process is simple and easy. The 6 dorm bed was clean and comfortable and we got some great nights sleeps. There is a bed light, a free locker big enough to store huge backpacks, and a curtain for each bed for privacy. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and there is shampoo and shower gel available too. You are also given a free towel at check in. Wi-Fi is great, and there are some relaxing common areas which are great for reading and planning activities etc. Laundry is available at the hostel and they can turn it around in 24 hours (cheapest) or even quicker (pay more). Overall I would absolutely recommend staying here as this hostel really is brilliant.

Booked the all female dorm. It was clean and has enough luggage space. The shower area is okay but limited space. The common area is good for working.

Very friendly people working there. Did stay there for 6 nights. Room top floor no sound from outside good double bed and nice furniture including television and a watercooker. Location just about the opposite of the old town need to cross the river hotel next to the bridge.

Did the walking tour and street food tour with Billy and it was fun and with a happy tummy of good local food! Billy is enthusiastic, friendly and like a local friend that show you around. Try the tour with Billy! You will definitely love the experience!

I had booked five nights stay and I ended up staying also just only and that’s because I arrived at 11pm and had no other choice. I had specifically asked for a female dorm and I was placed in a mixed one. Then the place is absolutely filthy. The bathrooms I have no idea when and if they are being cleaned and the smell is really bad. I had an upper bunk bed and there was no protection not to fall down! All night I had to sleep and keep in mind to stay as closer to the wall as possible! Noise from the street will not let you sleep even with earplugs on. I have no idea why this is a so high rated hostel but I know for sure that the photos are nothings like what you will really find when you visit.

Inside the dormitory is a normal dormitory. The passageway you pass through is a little narrow, but the bed and storage case with a key are normal size. You can use the Japanese outlet if it supports Bolt. The staff may differ depending on the day, but you can rest assured that they can speak a little Japanese. There are several toilets and showers for men and women, but the showers rarely produce hot water. Please be especially careful as only water comes out from the front side of the men's shower. However, considering the price and Hanoi's temperature, it has sufficient dormitory facilities and a good location. I didn't take any particular photos, just the outside view from the toilet and the WiFi.

We visited this hotel on November 25, 2019. Comfortable and sound proof. Located on the 3rd floor Terminal 1. Free water bottle and some breakfast available. Good restaurants in the vicinity since we are inside the airport. The toilet is on the same floor and does not have shower option. This place is ideal if you have a connecting flight with a long stopover. They provide a discount coupon for lucky restaurant. We reached the terminal 1 by taking a free shuttle from terminal 2.

We visited the Hanoi two times and both times stayed here, but the Anna didn't help us properly. On the morning of Halong bay tour she didn't even make breakfast and told us it will take 10minutes, when on our next stay it took less than 5 minutes for her. On the next day we had an early flight, she lied to my father saying her helper doesn't arrive at that time for breakfast when she herself cooks them, and told me she won't get up at 5 am. We got the best service at Bangkok, where they made breakfast before 5 even. Talk about best hotel service. Also, she doesn't talk about the free water she's supposed to offer the guests. We had to ask her Everytime for it. I had a long conversation with Anna before I reached Hanoi, she didn't even respect any of those friendly conversation we had and left us disappointed instead.

Well located hotel close to bars and small restaurants for people who like lively streets. the staff has always been available, warm and caring. a laptop problem that they helped me resolve within the hour. quality/price ratio, top notch!

I have now stayed in 4 different hostels in the city and would only book the North Hostel 2 ( which is a cheap hotel rather than a hostel) again. Very acceptable price-performance ratio in one of the few streets of the old town, which are not entirely overpopulated by tourists. Both hotels and streets are very old school - whose looks for something hippie, skinny, flashy should look around something else. I personally hope the North Hostel 2 will remain exactly as it is.
