Hot Springs Hotels in Ehime Prefecture, Japan

Excellent! The location is fantastic, right on Ookaido Street, meaning you can shop comfortably protected from both sun and rain. The onsen (hot spring bath) on the upper floor was exceptionally clean and delightful. They also offer free laundry washing, with drying available for 100 yen. Step right outside, and you'll find the tram station and a bustling food street. Virtually all of Matsuyama's highly recommended restaurants are within easy walking distance. Cannot recommend enough!

This is a very old, long-established hotel. The prices are affordable, and the staff provides excellent service. The dinner buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and the grilled meats in the buffet line are incredibly delicious – tender and not at all *****. There are several onsen (hot springs) to choose from, but the bathing areas are outside the building, so it can be a bit chilly. The hotel also has a museum and library, adding to its charming atmosphere. There's even live piano music in the evening, which is fantastic.

Clean and relaxing. Was tempted to stay another night. Slightly confused on the etiquette of things (and others that were staying there were as well), but still a wonderful experience.

Hotel has some distance from the main Dogo mall but it has shuttle bus running every 10 mins from 3-10. Hotel itself is very clean and most of the staff were so friendly and carried traditional Japanese good manner. My room is Japanese style and I love it. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was abundant, delicious and presented nicely. The staff named Itsuki Deguchi who took care my check in and dining service did a good job worthy to receive compliments. Onsen was clean and very nice. Will stay again next time

The facilities are amazing and the onsen was super clean the food was great as it can be! I would totally go back. I just hope they have options for travelers with dogs. Where they have beautiful garden to walk around and if dog was allowed the stay would be more efficient and comfortable. Amazing place!

I booked a Japanese-style room. The room was spacious and very clean, and came with complimentary snacks, sake, and orange juice. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Dinner was a 10-course Kaiseki meal, and every dish was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of choices, with the seafood donburi being particularly outstanding. There were four different baths to choose from. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.

The room was comfortable and the heating was excellent. The onsen, which is operated in conjunction with the hotel, is especially better than Dogo Onsen. Towels and linens are provided daily, ensuring exceptional cleanliness. The breakfast was delicious and varied, making it hard to believe it was a hotel breakfast. There's also a delicious yakitori restaurant in front of the hotel. Definitely check it out.

The hotel is super suitable for those who who aim for running away from modernization. And enjoy a peaceful moment of your own. Do remember you have to make reservations so that the staff will prepare dinner for you otherwise you need to drive a few miles to search for food elsewhere. The facilities are a bit aged but at least it doesn’t bother us from enjoying the stay.

It's clean, there's space to work, and the desks are separated, which is convenient. It's also convenient that there are smoking areas on the even-numbered floors. The breakfast is also just as good.
