Hot Springs Hotels in Kochi Prefecture, Japan

We arrived by car, and upon arrival, a staff member kindly guided us to the parking lot. The lobby was also explained thoroughly. I think it's good that they only provide the amenities you need, as they don't leave extra in the room for guests who don't use them, preventing waste. For dinner, we made a reservation at ”Rakuda,” a restaurant attached to a nearby hotel. The sashimi and seared bonito were delicious. The room felt a little small. There was a stand for our suitcases, but since we only had two bags, we sat on the chairs and our luggage was on the floor. 🌀 It was clean, so it was acceptable. We could hear voices from the next room and sounds hitting the walls, but all the rooms were quiet at night, which was good. However, groups talking late into the night would be disruptive. Breakfast was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the fruit and bread 🥐. The toaster was an Aladdin, which I used for the first time, and it made me want to replace my toaster at home. After checking out, I asked if I could leave my car there while I explored the nearby area. The parking attendant was very kind and even joked, ”Of course, even for a day!” I checked out at 9am and they let me leave my car there until 10am. Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. On the way back, I was with a client's family, and one of the women even took photos for us. Their thoughtfulness was really appreciated. The hot spring bath was spacious, with large changing rooms, a large bathtub, and a large washing area. Since it was with a client, I'm glad I chose such a nice hotel.

This Hotel is perched on a hillock overlooking the river Niyodo. It has a large social space comprising places to talk with tables and sofas and lounging areas with 3 big bean bags. It also has a Bar lounge replete with 8 types of local sake, red and white wines, Asahi draft beer, green tea, oolong tea, coffee via coffee machine, and tidbits. It is a popular place as it is set near to the way to the Onsen. Onsen has both in and outdoor facilities. The indoor has 3 pools and huge shower area. There is also a hidden jet massage area with 4 Individual seats. Breakfast and the Dinner Kaiseki were fantastic! Room is spacious and well lit.

Beautiful location right by the ocean. We were there on a stormy day and enjoyed watching the waves crashing against the shore. Nice big deck by the restaurant. Loved the outdoor onsen overlooking the ocean. Room was a good size and very comfortable and clean. Service was great. The only downside is the dinner food at their restaurant was marginal at best and very overpriced for what you get. Otherwise a great stay and we both felt very relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay.

The room is rather small. The bed is OK but the pillow is too small and not comfortable. The onsen is of course the attraction. The room itself less. Kochi is an excellent place for local delicacies.

We had the most amazing time at Sodayama Onzen. It is a very special place to relax and unwind. Our room had a private onsen overloooking a stream in the forest. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We also enjoyed the amazing food! It was a very special experience but way too much, especially in the mornings. But it was a great experience of fine Japanese cuisine. The staff was so friendly, communication with google translate helped.

The hotel facilities are excellent, the air conditioning works great, and it offers great value for money. The WiFi is strong, the environment is pleasant, and the location is convenient. I particularly loved that the room came with a bathtub, and the cleanliness was impeccable, making for a very comfortable stay. Check-in was quick, and the hotel service was, as always, top-notch. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, proactively greeting guests, which was a thoughtful touch! There's plenty of parking available, which is very convenient. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel!

I just happened to see a hotel in Taipei in order to eat at an izakaya. The room was large, but the facilities were old and the hot spring was small. I didn’t know why there were floating objects in the hot spring that day... Someone must have done something unhygienic. I hope the hotel can be repaired at any time. Confirm the hygiene level of the hot spring. The breakfast is very good, simple and delicious, and the scenery is great. It is a good place to relax. The only inconvenience is that there is an access control. You need to return to the hotel before 10 o'clock, or call in advance to inform you that you will be late!

Shiojikan, well done! Kochi Prefecture's GDP is the second lowest in Japan, so I didn't have high expectations for Shiojikan, but it turned out to be surprisingly good! The facilities were comfortable, and the food was delicious. The onsen is a typical Japanese hot spring, but unlike others, it has a cold plunge pool. And the toiletries are absolutely, incredibly, amazingly good! I would definitely recommend this hotel to any friends who are visiting.

A perfectly situated city hotel ideal for enjoying the food and drink scene in Shimanto, boasting meticulous cleaning. While the building's age is undeniable, the rooms and breakfast area are impeccably clean, reflecting the staff's attentive management. There's also a large public bath with separate times for men and women, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. Its excellent location provides easy access to the restaurant district, making it ideal for those who want to savor local cuisine. However, it's about 2km from the station, requiring a taxi ride (approximately 880 yen), and the lack of air purifiers and humidifiers in the rooms is a drawback. A Montbell store on the first floor makes it convenient for purchasing outdoor gear. The staff's dedication compensates for the older facilities, making it a safe and comfortable place to stay.
