The hotel cleanliness is spotless, the facilities are above average in Japan (such as the onsen), the breakfast is healthy and delicious and the staff is extremely helpful. I had a pleasant time in Miyazaki and the hotel made feel like at home.
The hotel is big but location is a bit far from anywhere. Aeon is around 10 minutes by car. If you want to dine in the hotel restaurant, better to book earlier. The breakfast is underwhelming, seems to have a lot of choice but nothing really outstanding in quality. The ocean view from the room is really nice though
Miyazaki is a small city so getting around is not difficult if you stay in this hotel. There is a few local buses to the hotel from the JR Miyazaki station. Within walking distance of 10min you can find almost everything from shopping to izakaya. The best part I like is the sauna and hot spring. It has outdoor and indoor hot spring baths and sauna. Amenities in the public bath is complete with lotion, tonic, hair gel, shaving form and even towel is provided so you don't need to bring your own. Overall, a great hotel.
Miyazaki Kanko Hotel stands along Tachibana Koen-dori Street (1-1-1 Matsuyama, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, 880-8512) overlooking the Oyodo River.
It is a large, well-established hotel.
There is a large hot spring bath on the first floor of the West Wing, and on the second floor is Shokusai Kenbi Ichiboku Ichiso, where the breakfast buffet is located. A dinner buffet is also available.
The hotel is old, so there is nothing new about it, but the rooms are spacious, the utility room is spacious, and the bathtub is also large.
There is only an AC outlet for power, no USB, and the AC at the desk has to be plugged in through a wall socket at the foot of the desk, which gives it a sense of history, but this is not a problem.
This is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area.
The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly.
I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.
We booked a Japanese room and it is quite small. The staff helped to lay the futons and your beds are set up for you quickly in the evening in less than 5 minutes. The room however is a bit small and very limited space left after the beds are set up. The breakfast spread was quite good with Jap and western choices. Location wise, it is about a km from aoshima and a nice stroll along the coast. It also offer wave boarding at about usd100.
Nearby restaurants are all within easy reach, and it's currently Ise lobster season.
To truly enjoy this delicious meal, be sure to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you'll usually find yourself at full capacity and unable to accept any more guests. The lobsters are indeed incredibly fresh and delicious.

Take in the views from a terrace and a garden and make use of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access. Additional features at this vacation home include concierge services and a reception hall.

Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers feature complimentary toiletries and bidets. Conveniences include safes and coffee/tea makers, and housekeeping is provided once per stay.
Highly recommended! For this price, you get a hot spring bath, and we happened to be there during a sake promotion – over 20 kinds of sake to try, plus a ton of vinegar! It was an amazing deal! The rooms were also quite spacious. It's a hotel I'd definitely recommend to friends!

GGuest UserThe hotel is by the sea, and there's an oyster grill right across the street. In the morning, you can take a walk to Qingdao.

WwangshuiyiI was misled by Ctrip's traffic instructions. I took the Nichinan Line to Orisha Station. Although it was close to the hotel, there were no taxis at the exit. I walked for nearly an hour to get to the hotel. When I checked out, the hotel arranged a free car to take me to the station. There were no restaurants or convenience stores around the hotel, which was a bit inconvenient. The facilities and baths were OK, and many locals came to take a hot spring bath.

Jjcy66The hotel is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. There are a variety of soup options, especially the cave hot springs. It is very comfortable to soak. It is a very good experience. The hotel staff is warm and professional and worthy of praise.
