Very good hotel, but the price has been rising since the epidemic. It is a building of great historical value in Edinburgh. It was established in the 17th century and Churchill and Thatcher have stayed there. I give full marks for service facilities. The disadvantage is that the price keeps rising, especially for restaurants.

The sanitation is really a bit poor. The door is a piece of paper. The other room is a piece of waste paper. The hot water is not stable. The parking space is a bit tight, but the surrounding area can also be parked. It feels that it will not be fined. It is still a little distance to enter the city. It is not possible to use a bus. It can be used in London, I don’t know what’s going on, so I walked into the city for half an hour. This location is a bit tasteless, the price is not cheap, the price is not high, there is a saying that the breakfast is delicious.

A really nice hotel! Very exquisite British style hotel, in fact, is a villa, breakfast is very good, in addition to regular food, you can also choose one of the five chefs to do. 3 kilometers from Edinburgh Railway Station, very close to the city center, I basically walk, very convenient. The boss gentleman is interesting, I forgot to bring the conversion plug, the boss took out a box, more than a dozen estimated to be around the world, haha. There is a park on the side.

Facilities: I booked a four-poster room upstairs, which is very aristocratic; the other is a modern double room on the first floor below. The bathroom is a bit old-fashioned, so it's no problem to use it. Hygiene: I only stayed for one night and I felt it was okay. Environment: Surrounded by similar small single-family houses, the houses are quite old and elegant in style. Breakfast was great, recommended.

The location is great. There are bus stops right in front of it for both sides. It is very easy to go to Rosslyne Chapel or the city center. There is always hot water. The wifi works well. The rooms are fine. The only downside is there is no breakfast. That's fine too, there are many alternatives outside. There are no hotel slippers, but that's nowhere else in the UK. So bring your slippers in your suitcase when you come to the UK. I would definitely stay here again if I came back because of its location and very good price/performance value 👍👍👍

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on Victoria Street, making it incredibly convenient to visit The Elephant House and shop for Harry Potter merchandise. We also enjoyed what we believe were the best fried noodles in Edinburgh at Mussel, the seafood restaurant located directly opposite. The room itself was larger than anticipated, and I particularly appreciated the bathroom having a bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of city walking!

The room itself was nice. However during our entire visit the ground floor is under renovation so only a small cramp room for breakfast and you have to carry food back to the room. Also had requested to have the room cleaned multiple days and each time the cleaners somehow missed our room. We even left specific note to the reception to ensure our room didn’t get skipped and yet find room wasn’t cleaned. When we finally got it cleaned (on third attempt), they missed clearing the bins (was full to brim as we stayed for a few days by then and they haven’t cleaned the room since) and missed changing the sheets when we even explicitly requested for it at the reception two days in a row. In the end we didn’t manage to get the sheets changed for our entire week stay… when we asked to leave the feedback to the manager, the reception staff told us to make appointment with their manager on the next day when they visit the hotel. We were already quite upset with the service we received and yet when asked to pass on feedback of our experience to the manager we were told to carve out some time in the middle of the day during our holiday to make an appointment to deliver the message ourselves!?? Not great experience.

The hotel is located in the new town, 10 minutes walk to Prince Street, the location is very good, downstairs is very popular with locals of the traditional British restaurant, locals will come here specially for breakfast. There is a unique design style, the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable enough, very comfortable experience, the only downside is that the stairs are very narrow and the large luggage is very difficult to get up and down.

Great hotel. Stayed here before and it’s really nice for the price. Just be aware that they have an issue with their lifts at the moment, and I think it may be a while before they’re fixed from what a member of staff told me. They offer to carry your bags up to your room etc but, if you have mobility issues, you should confirm what floor your room’s on before booking.

I stayed at A&O Edinburgh Hostel during my trip to Edinburgh and had a solid experience overall. The location is excellent — right in the city center, within walking distance of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and plenty of pubs and restaurants. The hostel itself is clean, and relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were helpful and friendly, but it took a while to check-in. Rooms were basic but comfortable, especially considering the affordable price. Bathrooms were shared but well-maintained. If you’re a budget traveler looking for a central, convenient place to stay in Edinburgh without fuss, A&O is a good choice. Just be prepared for the usual hostel vibe—shared spaces and some noise. Would definitely consider staying here again!

The location of the hotel is invincible (the house in the lower right corner of the second picture). Turn right after exiting the Market Street exit of the train station and walk for one minute. You don’t have to worry about carrying large luggage. When you cross the road, you will see Prince Street Park and Waverley Bridge (where the photo was taken). After crossing the bridge, you will see Prince Street. Turn right and walk for 15 minutes to Calton Hill. Turn right and walk for 3 minutes to the Royal Mile. There are many restaurants along the way. It is very close to the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, and the Art Museum. The staff’s service is very good. When they meet people from non-English speaking countries, they will communicate with guests at a very slow speed. It is also very convenient to store luggage. There is also an airport bus at the door of the hotel.

The hotel's location near the train station is a huge plus, making transport incredibly convenient. We received attentive service, and the breakfast was quite good. However, Google Maps gave misleading directions, which led me to carry my luggage up five flights of stairs. It turns out there's an elevator, but it's not clearly marked with the hotel's logo, making it challenging for first-time visitors to find.

When you open the hotel window, you can see the castle, and below is Edinburgh's garden fountain. The room is very new and has complete facilities. It will feel a little far to drag your luggage back from Aibo Railway Station. There is another Premier Inn hotel slightly closer to the train station. But the unexpected bonus is that it is very close to the rural village of Dean, and it takes 10-13 minutes to walk there through navigation. Stayed 2 nights in total. Most of the guests here are local British citizens, and I have never met any Chinese.

We booked the room for 3 people as a family for 3 nights. The room was acceptable with 1 queen bed and 2 singles. Quite clean, a bit dusty, but acceptable. No complimentary water given. Only tissue paper in the toilet is provided. The vending machine was broken on the day we arrived, the reception ladies told us that tap water is definitely safe to drink all over Scotland, so we did. The staffs were so friendly every shift we met. It was really safe at night when we arrived at 1am since the front gate is always locked and you have to contact the reception via intercom. The breakfast was really good for a budget hotel. No fresh salad provided, but there were frsh fruits. The rest were all great taste! The people there are so quiet. Made it a very good night sleep.

This hotel really left a very ”unforgettable” impression. The hotel seems to be a renovation of an old building. The environment is very crowded. Going to the room is a very difficult and winding road. It is very complicated... My friend's room is arranged on a different floor, but we have to take different elevators and climb the stairs with luggage to get to the elevator... There was no staff to assist in the whole process, and the elevator floor is also arranged very strangely... The room is OK, clean and hygienic, the bed is very small, and the lighting and decoration style are really hard to evaluate... The location is good, and the hotel breakfast is relatively average

The hotel location is very good, very close to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it is a little far away from Royal Mile Street, but can be reached on foot, the town is very suitable for walking. The hotel implements unmanned management, and you can open the door and the room door yourself according to the password you check in. We are a family of 5 staying with children and living suites. The rooms are large and clean and well-equipped. You can cook your own meals. Tableware and pots are fully equipped (but I do n’t see a microwave). We are accustomed to the British diet. The house even provides equipment such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines, which is in line with our home habits. The price is slightly higher, but for the case of five of us, it is still a lot more cost-effective than booking two single rooms, especially it is really good to be able to cook by ourselves. In particular, we need to remind everyone that the hotel will send you an email 7 days and 1 day before the check-in, which will contain the room number and password for the check-in. If you booked on Ctrip, because they may have booked through other channels, the reserved mailbox is not ours, we cannot receive the mail, we must contact Ctrip customer service one day in advance, get this information, and then Can stay. Because the apartment is unmanned, it will be inconvenient to communicate if there is a temporary problem.

Overall, our stay at The Wild Hotel was pleasant. The location is great, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff was friendly. However, the electronic heating management system was a major issue. Every night, the temperature fluctuated from tropical heat to freezing cold, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. I have stayed in Marriott properties in many countries since the early 1980s. This was my first stay at the Moxy brand of Marriott properties. When we arrived, the driveway was completely roped off and blocked by two huge construction vehicles and the door into the lobby was also roped off. No alternative was provided to allow us to drop off our heavy bags or even to enter the hotel from the car park. Having to register my car or risk a £100 fine just to drop off the luggage was not a customer-friendly message. I am aware this applies to other Marriott airport properties in Scotland to deter non-guests from parking. But I am sure with all the brainpower in the Marriott group, a customer-friendly solution can be found. The towel in my room had holes. Housekeeping staff opened my room door twice. Luckily I was only half naked. Really lousy breakfast. Dried scrambled eggs. No other egg type offered. Dried bacon. Orange juice tasted quite bad. The lobby doubled up as the place for breakfast. As a result, food droppings on the floor were quite unsightly. But I must say the staff were all wonderfully nice, polite and helpful

The hotel was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the reception staff was welcoming and amazing! I was thoroughly disappointed at the breakfast selection - the eggs were overcooked and floating in water, it was quite gross. The gentleman taking care of the tables was quite rude. We asked the reception whether we can look at the breakfast before we make a decision to add on, she said sure, we went there and this gentleman working the floor was quite rude saying for how many? I told him I am still deciding as my partner wanted to come in and have breakfast too. It was me and my mom staying in the room, but he was so pushy and rude, he asked for my room number, I gave it to him, he came back saying it's not paid and I said to him I know I am just deciding if I want to add it on -- we were standing away from the food and didn't have plates or anything, we were just texting my partner to get a decision from him. He was so rude and said ”see I told you, this is why I asked, come with me” and he had a very rude attitude. We paid for it at the bar and then went to sit down, but this gentleman was the only rude man in the hotel - quite frankly would not eat at that place again!  He messed the whole experience for us.

They do have a 24/7 shuttle that will take you to from the airport which cost £2.50.
