This hotel was fine, clean,food was good,within walking distance to town but they should really change the picture because the pool collapsed a few years ago and has not been replaced. So the picture is very misleading and they do not disclose this when you book it. Also, the noise (music) from the boaters was VERY loud and we did call the desk to ask if they could speak to the boaters, but since the law states noise was ok until 11 pm. So if you're facing the docks that face the parking lot, (where the pool used to be),hopefully they will play music you like. Also no microwave in rooms......

Soiled linen on sheets and Soiled Carpet throughout the room Soiled mean there is a possibility of body fluids also Matters on Bed is them old coil spring which id's bad on the back. Bath tub dirty. The walls are so thin you can hear people conversation and when your in the shower you can hear people conversation. Then when I would leave my room I would put my TV on 2 channels and when I come back one of the channels have changed and TV still on so that meant someone changed the channels because i left the do not disturb sign on the door and im not talking about like when you turn tv off and turn it on tv go back to default channel Not right no one should go in your room when a do not disturb sign is left on the front door because this happens twice. I brought this concern up to the front desk person Richelle I hope i got her name spelled right. FREE COFFEE RUN FROM IT. AWEFUL IS NOT THE WORD TO TELL HOW BAD IT TASTE FIRST THE COFFEE IS WATERED DOWN IT GETS BAD FROM THERE. TO the Manager Dar Pan or DP your motel 6 is a GARBAGE DUMP UNCLEAN AND UNSANITARY. I RECCOMEND STAYING SOMEONE ESLE AND NOT HERE EVEN THOUGH IT CLOSE TO THE Army Base DON'T STAY RUN AWAY!!!!! But even the place is a DUMP two employees that went above and beyond to help out but to go the EXTRA MILE to get it right when it is not there fault. Richelle and Phil. Two employees that truly don't mind stopping what ever to help you out.Motel 6 got two GREAT employees Richelle and Phil you Rock thanks for all your help. Absolutely horrible! Welcome to the era of covid 19 travel! With the world on lockdown not being able to go pretty much anywhere for the Fourth of July weekend 2020 ; yes it is right ! 2020 ! (I have not being able to catchup believe it or not) I decided to do whatever was possible and travel to what was available at the time without leaving my home state of New York due to travel restrictions so what better time to see something I always wanted to see; the archipelago located on the St Lawerence River at the border with Canada known as the Thousand Islands, also famous for the namesake salad dressing. It was hard to believe that amidst the plummeting travel industry at the time hotels downtown were outrageously expensive therefore I needed to search for more “budget” friendly accommodations within the area, that’s how I landed at Candlewood Suites, what a fiasco! The property is completely ran down beginning with the chairs at the front desk, although I have nothing to say or complain about the hotel staff which were very accommodating the building itself has way to many issues beginning with bugs inside the room. I had requested immediately to be moved to a different room thinking that this will resolve my problem, I was wrong! The same problem persisted Hotel staff is very attentive, cleanliness is not that impeccable but at least the staff tries to make it up for everything else the property is lacking. Hopefully a year after these factors had changed

We were going to be in Alexandria Bay for 4 days and opted to rent a room with a kitchenette. Did not use the oven but did use the microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Not many dishes available and had to ask for a coffee cup. Only Styrofoam was available. There were no dishtowels on hand. Had to put a towel over the window because the curtain was not wide enough to close it. The beds and pillows were comfy. Wi-fi was good. The room served our purpose however furniture needs updating. Bathroom needs to be completely done over - - shower was so tiny (probably about 2'x2') didn't even want to turn around in it for fear of falling. No grab bar in the shower either (I thought it was a state law you needed a grab bar.) Bar soap too small to use in the shower. Nowhere to put stuff other than the counter by the sink. Needs some shelving to put stuff on. It really looks nice in the picture but reading some of the reviews (mine included) management has not done much to address the problems people had, including the dirty floors. Air and heat worked effectively. Friendly staff. This hotel is outside of the main business area. There is no water view. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
