"Stayed in February 2013. Economy single room. Warm and clean. Away from the main road, so you can barely hear the surrounding noise, and the electronic lock works well. Luggage storage available. Breakfast options are a little limited, but they have some delicious local food. I also like that it's open from 7am to 11am. I gave the location a 4 because it's a little far from the subway and on a hilly area, but the National Museum of Korea and other places are within walking distance. Water filters on each floor. Good restaurants nearby. Didn't use the sauna, pool, gym, in-house restaurant, or in-room minibar. Overall recommended."
"Front desk staffs are helpful to any enquiry and made arrangements for our transportation to the airport 👍
The cleaning crew is very responsive ( especially one middle aged lady , a bit plump). Probably our room is located at the end and hidden behind the corridor ( room no 5014) , they probably have missed. We requested her to clean the room and job accomplished 👍👍
The only setback is the bad smells of vape at the breakfast lounge. The seats are not suitable for dining."
"This area is very convenient near shopping centers quiet quiet area. polite staff are social. Rooms are clean pleasant odor. It is better not to have a price acceptable too. "

"The single room I booked was slightly smaller but basically met the needs. The bathroom shower was crowded. The breakfast was rich, the vegetable and fruit oatmeal, the black and white bread coffee ☕️ tea... After breakfast, people who are used to Western food don’t need to eat anymore at noon..."
"Great location, convenient to everything. The rooms are clean large rooms. Breakfast also liked a huge selection of dishes. I liked the deluxe room very much. As soon as the number is issued, the customers will be provided with water. This hotel really liked the linen clean double sofa soft pleasant. Thank you for your service."
"The hotel is top for its price, the service is good, the rooms are not luxury but comfortable, furniture, shower, TV, air conditioning, excellent, the most important thing is if you are looking for a comfortable hotel at a price, this is the best one, the only thing is that the toilet is not located correctly, it is not comfortable to sit, but out of 10 points I would give it a solid 9 ✊"

"We had great time at Tenir Eco. At first, im a bit worried as im unsure how to go up and bring luggages direct from airport since we arrived direct from istanbul trip. But actually its quite easy. The hotel arranged to bring luggages up to hotel with payment of 5000 tenge(from shymbulak station to hotel reception). U have a choice to bring it yourslef but mind you that it is quite slippery from combi 2 to reception. So if u want to enjoy the moment just ask the hotel to bring the luggage for u.
The hotel will give QR code for cable car ride from Medeu station to combi 1-combi 2 and back down. If u want more can ask them to buy for you. Around 4000 tenge.
The hospitality is amazing , they provided all the necessity. And fast action too. They fixed the netflix so we could enjoy our 2nights stay. And although -12celcius was a challenge but the room got quite nice heat ‘ and u can always heat urself in the bathroom sauna, even the floor was heated. So we never feel tortured with the weather.
Bring some food for dinner if u dont want to spend time going down too much. And u can heat it in sauna as well🙈. Host (ingkar) was a very nice person. He gave us two nice cheesecakes since netflix took time to be fixed.
We stayed in Room Tenir 10 which was the last end room with nice romantic vibe and view. There’s night skiing and the skiers sometimes stop and wave to us while we watch them pass by. We also hike to nearby mountain and enjoy the scenery. It is super cold during winter and like a dream come true stay for us.
As per going back you can request them to bring down luggage as well with same 5000 tenge tilk symbulak station. The food at syn32 also yummy n good. Go try the blueberry mint tea with mountain view. Its amazing. U can ski in ski out from the room itself. Sunset is perfect as well. I will return again in future. Perfect stay in Shymbulak 3200m…. Never regret it.
And may try the paragliding as well. Looks fun too!"

Amazing
LLaomaedaoThe hotel is owned by a Chinese owner. It is located in the city center, a quiet place in the city. From the hotel, it is about 4.8 km to the Almaty Tower, only 2.5 km to the cable car entrance, 2.2 km to the Central Mosque, 2.5 km to the Independence Monument, and 1.5 km to the Ascension Cathedral and the 28 Heroes Monument. The hotel is clean and hygienic, the rooms are large, and it is very quiet at night. The owner cooks breakfast himself, and the rice porridge tastes very good. The breakfast is delicious!
IIsfp-Solo TravelerOne of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far! I arrived at the hotel around 5 AM, and fortunately (thank you for the receptionist who attended me), they had a room available for early check-in (for half the price).
The view was absolutely amazing, and the room was well-equipped with a mini-fridge, TV, hair dryer, disposable slippers, bathrobe, towels, and complimentary coffee, tea, and water.
The breakfast? I highly recommend booking a room with breakfast included! It’s a buffet with an extensive selection—mains, soups, and desserts change daily. They also have pies, cheeses, breads, cereals, and so much more. I didn’t even recognize some of the dishes and didn’t get to try everything, but everything I did taste was absolutely delicious.
The location is also excellent, with bus stations and the subway just a short walk away. I was able to walk to several tourist spots like Panfilov Park, Green Bazaar, and many more. One of the best features of the hotel is the keycard system — you can only access your assigned floor and the first floor, where the reception is located (from there, you can easily walk to the breakfast and spa areas)
JJOSHMEWhenever I go to such place for resting or crashing, what I always wanted to know about the place is the warmth of the people running it. Mostly, you would find owners that are plainly into sucking your money or budget. At Hostel 02, you'll find the host with a big smile in his eyes, wearing a very welcoming positive vibe and that absolutely leaves me the feeling ”I'll be alright in this place!”
It's a hostel - of course, you dont expect a cozylike hotel. But in here, though it holds the business idea of sharing rooms with strangers, one can totally breathe with much comfort. Guests are initially intro'd to what's expected in the house and from the guest - mutuality. The guests are respectful to each one's privacy and boundary. The facilities are maintained clean - hourly, daily, or as much as needed to be attended. The friendly atmosphere is another happiness here. People smile.
My sleep for a couple of days of stay here has been so replenishing - the premise seems so quiet and peaceful outside. No annoying noise at night though it is surrounded by big apt buildings, which is really good.
I can fill my gut with tea as much as I want and at any time. It surely spares me from reaching for those nasty soda drinks. The hot shower is not gona frustrate you, it surely warms you. Bedding is so attended with clean sheets (owww , I never worry of anything that would bug me of bites as I lie down) - this is another positive thing about this place.
To wrap it up, it is like HOME... so I absolutely LOVE the place. And for sure, you gona love HOSTEL TWO, too!
VVita Loncar, CroatiaWe stayed for three nights in the hotel and I want to stress two things: The staff and the breakfast. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast was great and we can strongly recommend the hotel. Vita
RRowenaJust like all other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed, the rooms were clean and spacious, staff are accommodating and helpful. There was a good breakfast selection as well. This one is not located in the center of Almaty so there’s not much to do within walking distance at night.
Overall, a good stay.
YYungtuugStaying at the Kazakhstan Hotel felt like stepping into a piece of Almaty’s living history. This iconic 26-story building, with its unmistakable Soviet-era architecture, stands tall in the heart of the city and offers some of the best panoramic views of the snow-capped Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. Waking up to that view? Unforgettable.
The location is unbeatable—right on Dostyk Avenue, within walking distance of parks, museums, restaurants, and even the cable car to Kok Tobe. Whether you’re in Almaty for business or leisure, the hotel puts you right where you want to be.
SSkyroadThey were kind enough to help me even though I checked in late at night (11:30pm). The front desk seems to be able to speak English as well as Russian. The room was spacious (as I stayed in winter) and the heating was on when I entered the room. (This is also especially important in winter) the shower had hot water. Bottled water (non-carbonated) was provided. The airport is about 30 minutes away by taxi. There is also a bus stop nearby, although I didn't use it this time.
GGuest UserThe location is good, within few minutes drive from Almaty Airport.
The breakfast is excellent
The room is spacious but no window making it a little bit warm.
The receptionist staff is not helping much.
The wifi connection is bad.
GGuest UserThe staff is responsive, all requests were responded to immediately. True, there are visitors who smoke in the rooms. We got a smoky room; we had to leave the ventilation in the bathroom open for a day with the door open.
