Hotel Flora Alpina

A family run hotel which we have been using for many years. The fact we keep returning year after year is probably the best recommendation of all. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to ensure an enjoyable stay. Menu choice is good and food quality is first class. There are heated ski lockers and the bus stop for the main ski slopes is immediately by the front door.

Been going on our annual ski trip to Gressoney for many years now and we have always stayed at Flora Alpina. If you’re looking for glitz, glamour, and ‘apres ski’ then Gressoney is not for you but if you are looking for great skiing on very quiet pistes then Gressoney is the place to go. Flora Alpina is not ‘ski in - ski out’ as it is situated on the edge of the main ski area but there is an excellent regular ski bus service (bus stop right outside the hotel). There is an excellent ski equipment store room (with great heated boot bars). Rooms are simple but very comfortable and warm. Beds are really very comfortable and en-suite shower rooms are excellent. Evening meals are great - maybe too much food - so you won’t go hungry! The hotel is family run by Peter, Heidi, and Arthur who all work very hard to provide wonderful service. All other staff are also great - rooms are cleaned very well. The hotel also offers airport transfers - Turin is just over an hour or so away and Milan is a couple of hours away. We love coming here as it offers a great alternative to the very formularic ski holidays that are very much the ‘norm’ nowadays. Lastly, the hotel is extremely child friendly - it is In Italy afterall!
