For the cost not a great value in terms of location (need Ubers frequently), service (best service is the valet staff at front) , room quality (dingy, funny smell, old fixtures) etc. - read on for more play by play details but in short, not what I expect for a Marriott property. By the way I stayed in two other Marriott properties in other cities large and small this week alone. First - no rooms available for early check in (12:30pm) though I requested it and okay I get that but as a Bon Voy Gold member definitely didn’t feel like there was an even an attempt. Was Directed to a restaurant downstairs which had no staff after I lingered for awhile as well as out into the neighborhood. It’s very hot in Austin and everything was at least a 15 min walk. By the way I am from New York and now live in Chicago where I walk everywhere I have no car so no stranger to walking…but the walkability around here is not easy lots of construction etc.No ETA given on room and told its very busy etc etc (I didn’t see any people except a couple of others who came to check in as well, one person given a room after I walked away? Perhaps they had the room type they needed but I wasn’t offered a different room type which most hotels do try to accommodate when I explain I’ve been traveling etc.) No place to work on laptop etc and wait. So off I went after leaving bags with the great valet staff who handle bags too. Checked in finally at 4pm. Room - not trash can around at all, I called for one hours later nothing, still here and I still don’t have one. Room smells like nail polish remover. One Light flickers constantly Bathroom has water damage on ceiling Old fixtures Room size is great Tv is fine Bathroom and sink/dressing area is fine Towels quite cheap and thin Carpet very old clearly Makes me feel like room just isn’t super fresh and clean even if it is clean which is unfortunate At almost $300 a night I am pretty dissatisfied (I almost never review hotels on here but feel compelled to).

Last minute search for a rooms as I would be attending TASSP conference in Austin and our campus secretary found this chain. I arrived late to the hotel and it became a whose on first skit with the clerk. After that crazy chasing of my tail happened, I had a choice park on the street ot lay $30 a night in the hotel parking area. Walking into my room on the second floor and you get that very old carpet and stale air. It's best if you take your soap and shampoo and most importantly your shower shoes don't walk barefooted in the room. The room has an ironing board and iron but the board is not steady. The temperature in the room can be at extremes so careful when you adjust the temperature. This hotel is a long walk from convention center and you need to pass homeless area. I didn't have a good experience at this hotel.

We were just visiting Austin for the weekend. We booked 2 rooms with our friends and well it was the best experience ever. The stuff is so friendly specially Sonva. She knew it was my birthday and also the birthday of my friends so she treated us VIP and offered us drinks on the house. Thank you 💜

This hotel is a bit old and needs updating. The shower lacked hot water and the power outlets in the bathroom were inoperable. The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. If you are in a pinch, this place is alright.

Jose Cordova was very friendly! Great smiling face in the morning. He was very nice and deserves a recognition. He was very helpful and upbeat for a morning greeting for our breakfast. He also checked in after breakfast to make sure everything was going well.

Our family spent the weekend here for a soccer tournament, and the front desk staff were amazing in accommodating our changing tournament schedule. Very helpful and friendly at all hours! We also enjoyed being close to the university during a UT game! An A+ hotel for downtown Austin!

This was the cheapest dormitory inn around Austin. I had no choice but to stay, but at night I don't know if there is a live house building, but I couldn't sleep because it was annoying from 10 to 1 o'clock. After that, the location was in the center of Austin, so it was not so inconvenient. Overall it was not beautiful, but it was a dormitory within the acceptable range. I don't want to stay again if I want to stay again.

Location was excellent! Close to many destinations from bars, clubs and restaurants, grocery stories (target, Whole Foods) Down the street from Franklins BEST brisket in Austin 😝 Friendly check in , pool is perfect for summer weather! Gave cleanliness a 4 bc toilet didn’t not work first day and when send plumber to fix he has to go out and buy a part that needed replacement due to not being maintained. Took half a day to get fixed and couldn’t use restroom to 💩 After new part was installed , toiled flushed and at times got stuck so we had to turn of the water from bottom of toilet and turn back in for feces to flush 😩 Other than that, we were closed to many locations assessable on lime light scooter. Friend lobby held our bags last day for us to explore and we’re kind enough to deliver pre stamped postcards ♥️
