This hotel is a bit old and needs updating. The shower lacked hot water and the power outlets in the bathroom were inoperable. The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. If you are in a pinch, this place is alright.

Participate in the preferred hotel of the annual Southwestern South. From the second floor, you can go directly to the main venue in the south-southwest. The bar on the top floor is also very good! recommend! recommend! The only short board is so expensive, nearly $700 a night!

Austin is a small city overall, and the hotel is relatively close to City Hall and UT. The service attitude is good and the facilities are OK, but please note that you need to bring your own toiletries and slippers. The hotel also has bicycles you can borrow for free, just remind the staff to help you adjust the seat height.

Let me first start off by saying, “this was the worst experience ever” I am a titanium elite Marriott member so I’ve seen my fair share of Marriotts. But paying $500 a night and the experience I got was less than a motel 6. Checking in was ok. Service was par but I can deal. I needed to access something on my phone. At the check-in counter, complete dead zone. They claimed they upgrade me to a “wonderful room” but on my reservation that was exactly what I booked. There was no upgrade. To ease myself into the trip, I went to the restaurant at the hotel. Not many people there, maybe 3 tables and then myself. I ordered a burger with lettuce and tomato only. I waited 40mins only to receive a burger with every condiment and simply no lettuce or tomato. Moving to the room. I slept ok. The snacks in the mini bar were a great variety. The internet was rather choppy. I wake up the next morning, I wake up to a crew on a crane looking directly into my room. Now, the hotel did email me to say the pool was not open during my visit, but failed to mention they were having work done. So I heard thumps due to work being done, loud music (and not the live music that is of a melodious sound). I called in the morning to say I will be checking out Day 1 of a 4 day trip but simply asked for a late check out - (seeing as though I had the room for 4 days) the agent told me the best she can do was 1PM. Hello, this room is technically unavailable because I would have still been here. It didn’t make any sense. I eventually left at once but this was an overpriced disappointment. I moved to another Marriott location 2 blocks over to finish my trip.

The service was very good and caring, knowing that the child had an exam the next morning, and a free breakfast was specially arranged. It was originally not included in the breakfast. Such carefulness is rare in foreign service.
