Yilan Hotels with Balcony

"The location is great, about a 3-5 minute walk to Tangweigou Hot Spring Park. There's a free parking lot about a 3-minute walk from the hotel (though you can't drive out between 10 PM and 8 AM). Right across from the hotel, there's another parking lot available for NT$250, valid until check-out the next day. The hotel also offers bicycles for guests to borrow. The room was a bit small because they dedicated most of the space to a large, clean bathroom. The hot spring soak was very relaxing. Soundproofing was decent. On the second floor, there's a good selection of complimentary drinks and coffee. Given the price, I'd definitely consider staying here again! 👍"

"I really loved the Yuanben Mountain & Ming Shui Hsiu Resort. The surrounding area has free hot spring foot baths, and you can enjoy delicious, freshly baked bread and nougat cakes from Yih Shun Hsiang, along with many authentic Yilan delicacies. The hotel staff are very friendly, and there's free WiFi. The rooms with hot spring baths allow you to soak anytime. The large TV was perfect for watching the live World Cup matches, and there's also free parking. It offers great value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again! Thumbs up! 👍"

"Such a cute and unique place to stay! We were pleasantly surprised to find that there’s even a playground with slides inside the property — it added a really fun and lively touch to the whole experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, making it easy for us to relax during our stay. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and cozy. The location is also a huge plus — it’s very convenient and close to almost everywhere we wanted to go, with plenty of food and attractions nearby. Getting around was super easy. Overall, we had a really nice stay here. It’s a great mix of comfort, convenience, and a bit of fun. Would definitely recommend and come back again! 😊"

"The location is excellent. Anping Road is the second street off Luodong Station, turn left, and you'll see the hotel after the first small alley. Regarding service, the room robot was very polite, calling to inform me it was ready to deliver items and asking me to open the door. It also called ten minutes before check-out to remind me of the time. The restaurant staff's service attitude was better than that of the second-floor game counter staff, but the enthusiasm of the younger staff was consistent. The service attitude of the front desk staff during check-in was average. For dining, although the official check-in time is 4 PM, I arrived early, and the reception staff already had my room card ready for immediate check-in. If you don't want to check in early, there's afternoon tea available in the ground-floor restaurant. You need to book your breakfast time slot at reception for the next day, limited to one hour. Since I chose the least crowded time (7 AM-8 AM), I finished my meal in less than 40 minutes and, with the restaurant staff's permission, took a few bottles of drinks back to my room. In terms of facilities, the second floor can cater to young children with a wide variety of remote-control cars. The third floor should have facilities to keep older kids entertained. Regarding cleanliness, the restaurant dining area, the second-floor game area, and the public women's restroom were good. However, the bathroom hygiene in the guest room needs improvement. There was a lotion bottle with only about 1/10 left, presumably used by someone else, next to the hand soap. There was only one roll of toilet paper with no spare. The sink had standing water with floating debris and hair. The showerhead's water pressure was insufficient, and once turned on, it would drip for a very long time after being turned off. The hot water for the bath the next morning wasn't hot. There was no laundry bag provided, which I've found in all hotels and even luxury hotels in Taipei and Taoyuan. After inquiring at the front desk, I was told they had regular plastic bags that the robot could deliver to my door. The soundproofing, I felt, was good. Setting the air conditioning to 20.9°C was cold enough, but upon entering the room, with the AC set to 25°C, there was a musty smell."

"The location was incredibly convenient, close to both the train station and night market by scooter. The accommodation had an elevator, and the hallways were bright and clean. The bathroom even had a heater, so it never felt damp after showering. The reception staff were friendly during check-in, and initially, I had a great impression of the place. However, the luggage storage and assistance service after check-out were extremely disappointing. Check-out was managed with a 'guests out, no entry' policy, and there were no staff members around at the time. Seeing other guests who had checked out also leaving their luggage on the first floor, we did the same, intending to go buy some refrigerated souvenirs. Later, I specifically called to ask if I could borrow their fridge to store food. The first staff member I spoke to said that once we returned to the guesthouse, we should call again, and they would come down to open the door for us. Upon returning to the guesthouse, I called again. This time, a different staff member answered and asked us to wait a moment. We waited outside the door for a full 20 minutes, with no one proactively informing us of the situation or calling back to explain. We just sat there by the door. Eventually, a new guest arrived, and unable to enter, I explained to them that we were waiting for staff to open the door. They were also incredulous that we had been waiting for 20 minutes and kindly offered to call on our behalf. After hanging up, they told me, 'It seems like they are inside.' Less than 3 minutes later, someone came downstairs and opened the door for us. If there truly were staff inside the whole time, yet they left guests waiting outside for 20 minutes without any explanation or response, it's truly baffling and makes you feel completely disrespected. Even if it's just helping retrieve stored items or refrigerating food, I'd at least expect to be proactively informed of how long the wait would be or given an update on the situation, rather than being left completely in the dark, waiting outside. Overall, the accommodation environment itself was indeed good, but this post-checkout service experience significantly impacted my impression of this guesthouse. I hope that in the future, they can improve the handover and communication processes among staff to prevent other travelers from encountering the same situation."
