"The room was great – spacious, convenient, and affordable. The views from outside were lovely, and it was easy to get around. The bubble tea shop downstairs served really good bubble tea, just like the ones back home. My only issue was that when I booked through Ctrip, it said breakfast was available, so I added it to my reservation. However, when I got to the hotel, I found out there was no restaurant, which contradicted what was stated on Ctrip. Luckily, after I reported it to Ctrip, they quickly resolved the issue and refunded the extra breakfast fee."

Amazing
GGuest UserThis was by far the most comfortable and cleanest accommodation of our entire trip! We booked various types of rooms – hotels, apartments, B&Bs, and countryside inns – and this one truly stood out. Every single spot in the room was exceptionally clean, absolutely spotless! The fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks and milk, provided according to the number of guests. The towels were thick, the bedding was pristine, and even the countertop below the bathroom mirror was sparkling clean! The location is excellent, very close to the art gallery, making it convenient to get around. Downstairs, there's a Coop and a bakery, and it's not far from a very popular hotpot restaurant in Edinburgh. Shopping is also easy, with small shops like Jo Malone, Barbour, and The North Face nearby if you fancy a browse. If there's one thing that could be improved, it would be the laundry room – it's a bit too small and feels a little damp. Other than that, everything was perfect!

MMandy AMarket Street Hotel is absolutely incredible! From the staff who are warm and welcoming, with a wealth of knowledge of the local area, to the room with the amazing shower, dressing robes and slippers, the stocked fridge and comfiest bed I have slept in, the hotel is perfect. I can’t wait to come back to Edinburgh and stay here again.

GGuest UserRoom was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park.

HHafirunisaTraveled with my wife and our 10-year-old kid. The location was superb, right in the heart of town—near Scott Monument and directly in front of Victoria Garden. The hospitality was top-notch, especially in the F&B department. A waitress from Asia (likely Nepal) was exceptionally professional and friendly. An amazing place to stay with family & friends—highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe hotel is perfectly situated right on the Royal Mile – the location is absolutely superb! It's just an 8-minute walk from the train station. Be aware that there are some steps along the route, which might be a bit of a workout if you're carrying heavy suitcases. It's a very family-friendly hotel. The bedroom has a large bed, and the living room sofa converts into a double bed, comfortably accommodating two adults and two children. Our room was incredibly clean, newly renovated, and surprisingly quiet. Even though the Royal Mile is bustling with street performers and activities, we couldn't hear any noise from our room at all. Having amenities like a washing machine and oven in the room was a huge plus. Just a note: toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers aren't provided as standard. We brought our own dental kit, so we only needed to ask the front desk for slippers. Breakfast is served à la carte; you order what you like, and top-ups are available if you're still hungry. Edinburgh Castle is a mere 5-minute walk to the right from the hotel's entrance, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby – incredibly convenient!

GGuest UserEverything was perfect Great location Health is very good No seasoning But the kitchen is perfect The bed is not 1.8 meters, the big bed has two 1.4 meters, and the small bed has 1.2 meters, which makes six of our family unable to sleep in the bedroom, and someone can sleep in the living room. Ctrip communicated in time. Special attention: This hotel is an agent and not directly connected by Trip.com. It will send an email at one or two in the afternoon saying that you need to provide a credit card information payment deposit, otherwise you will not be checked in. The hotel can communicate by email or phone, and needs a little English foundation

AAnonymous UserThe apartment is half an hour's drive from the city center, but there is a bus downstairs to the city center, which is quite convenient. The apartment is fully equipped, there are cooking tools, and the room is large. However, the water pressure in the toilet of the high-rise unit (5th floor) is insufficient. The unit is old and uses a water storage hot water stove. If many people take a shower, you need to wait for a while. Self check in, check out, hand in information and £100 deposit will be provided after the mailbox password lock key. Pay the deposit with credit card, the money will be returned 5 to 10 days after check out, but if you do not use the Bank of England account, you do not know that the bank will not charge a handling fee.

廿廿岁At the beginning, I lived in a big bed room. The room was on the first floor and was small. I changed the suite the next day and brought my own garden and it was very comfortable. There is a small problem that the wifi signal is usually broken sometimes, but it is enough if you don't play the game. The front desk is very enthusiastic, thanks.

The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, always patiently offering travel advice, which made my trip much smoother. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is friendly, making it perfect for backpackers to meet new friends. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

IiserhanserinThe location is great. There are bus stops right in front of it for both sides. It is very easy to go to Rosslyne Chapel or the city center. There is always hot water. The wifi works well. The rooms are fine. The only downside is there is no breakfast. That's fine too, there are many alternatives outside. There are no hotel slippers, but that's nowhere else in the UK. So bring your slippers in your suitcase when you come to the UK. I would definitely stay here again if I came back because of its location and very good price/performance value 👍👍👍
