"Room was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park."

Amazing
AAnna ListratenkoThis is an excellent hotel! The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, they immediately offered a glass of champagne, which was a lovely touch. Our room was clean, pleasant, and had everything we could need: a Dyson hairdryer, a ghd straightener, a clothes steamer, and a completely free mini-bar. The mini-bar was stocked with beer, sodas, cocktails, and various snacks. The bed was super comfortable! Our room had a view of The Balmoral Hotel. Breakfast was amazing: there was a buffet with delicious options and the ability to order from a menu, including a traditional Scottish breakfast, Eggs Benedict with salmon, and more. If we're ever in Edinburgh again, we'll definitely stay here!

Amazing
GGuest UserThis was by far the most comfortable and cleanest accommodation of our entire trip! We booked various types of rooms – hotels, apartments, B&Bs, and countryside inns – and this one truly stood out. Every single spot in the room was exceptionally clean, absolutely spotless! The fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks and milk, provided according to the number of guests. The towels were thick, the bedding was pristine, and even the countertop below the bathroom mirror was sparkling clean! The location is excellent, very close to the art gallery, making it convenient to get around. Downstairs, there's a Coop and a bakery, and it's not far from a very popular hotpot restaurant in Edinburgh. Shopping is also easy, with small shops like Jo Malone, Barbour, and The North Face nearby if you fancy a browse. If there's one thing that could be improved, it would be the laundry room – it's a bit too small and feels a little damp. Other than that, everything was perfect!

KKatarinalinnaSuper hotel. Very convenient location. There's no point in booking breakfast; there's a price difference when you book, but in reality, there's no breakfast. They don't have a restaurant, but they always offer free coffee and croissants in the morning for guests.
Not entirely clean.
Overall, very good.
There's a kitchen, so you can cook. There's even a dishwasher.

Great
HHafirunisaTraveled with my wife and our 10-year-old kid. The location was superb, right in the heart of town—near Scott Monument and directly in front of Victoria Garden.
The hospitality was top-notch, especially in the F&B department. A waitress from Asia (likely Nepal) was exceptionally professional and friendly.
An amazing place to stay with family & friends—highly recommended!

Great
GGuest UserThe room was decent, the location was great, and the bed was comfortable. However, we were assigned a first-floor room right by the entrance – I'm not sure if this was intentional – and we didn't get a wink of sleep on any of our four nights.
First off, the glass door was broken and couldn't be securely locked, which meant absolutely no soundproofing. We could hear every word pedestrians said on the street. Given its central tourist location, loud pedestrians, particularly intoxicated ones, would pass by until well past midnight, making a lot of noise. Then came the constant banging of doors in the morning. Even more terrifying were the sounds of luggage being dragged and lifted (due to the building's layout, all luggage had to be carried up stairs), which sounded like an earthquake, starting as early as 5 AM. We were utterly sleep-deprived and on edge!
We tried to just tough it out, but by the time we left, our entire family was completely drained.

Great
AAnonymous UserThe apartment is half an hour's drive from the city center, but there is a bus downstairs to the city center, which is quite convenient.
The apartment is fully equipped, there are cooking tools, and the room is large. However, the water pressure in the toilet of the high-rise unit (5th floor) is insufficient. The unit is old and uses a water storage hot water stove. If many people take a shower, you need to wait for a while.
Self check in, check out, hand in information and £100 deposit will be provided after the mailbox password lock key. Pay the deposit with credit card, the money will be returned 5 to 10 days after check out, but if you do not use the Bank of England account, you do not know that the bank will not charge a handling fee.
GGuest UserEverything was perfect
Great location
Health is very good
No seasoning
But the kitchen is perfect
The bed is not 1.8 meters, the big bed has two 1.4 meters, and the small bed has 1.2 meters, which makes six of our family unable to sleep in the bedroom, and someone can sleep in the living room. Ctrip communicated in time.
Special attention: This hotel is an agent and not directly connected by Trip.com. It will send an email at one or two in the afternoon saying that you need to provide a credit card information payment deposit, otherwise you will not be checked in. The hotel can communicate by email or phone, and needs a little English foundation

Very Good
QQIThe service was great as soon as you entered the store! During the Chinese New Year, I also gave small gifts and cards, but the greetings on the cards were not in Chinese!
The room I booked was relatively small, but it was enough for me. The heating was not enough and not bad. The heating of the room and the exhaust fan of the toilet are noisy! For some friends, the bathtub in this hotel is necessary and quite large. Toiletries are from Sudan.
Breakfast is not too many, but very delicious!
The surrounding attractions can be reached in about 17-20 minutes, Calton Hill is about 29 minutes, and Edinburgh Railway Station Waverley is 21 minutes.

Very Good
GGuest UserI had a very satisfying stay. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the train station, and most of Edinburgh's other attractions are easily reachable on foot, which was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the hotel staff were very welcoming. I saw other reviews mentioning that deposit refunds take a while, but I haven't experienced that yet. I'll update my review later.

GGuest UserThis hostel truly feels like a home away from home. The environment is clean and comfortable, the common areas are cozy and well-designed, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, always patiently offering travel advice, which made my trip much smoother. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is friendly, making it perfect for backpackers to meet new friends. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.
