"Room was quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Bed was extremely comfortable and the amenities were good quality - Molton Brown toiletries, GHD hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine. The complimentary drink at 5pm was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of breakfast in the hotel itself. However, we had a good discounted breakfast at The Huxley and a 50% discount at Castle Terrace car park."

Everything about this place was excellent, making it my top choice for a trip to Edinburgh! I just forgot to take pictures of the room and hotel facilities, so I've included photos of breakfast and the street view instead. **Location:** It's very close to the train station, making it convenient for airport access. Most importantly, it feels incredibly safe, with a separate passcode lock for the main entrance. **Ambiance:** Housed in an old Baroque building, the interior is surprisingly modern. The view from the window overlooks Edinburgh's famous 'watch street' – truly impeccable. If you're coming to Edinburgh, you can't go wrong with this place; it's a guaranteed hit! **Service:** Every staff member was incredibly friendly and attentive, from check-in to storing my luggage after check-out. A major highlight is the hotel's highly automated management system. Each room has an iPad where you can view specific hotel services and contact staff. The front desk also has these iPads, making everything incredibly convenient. **A small suggestion:** The breakfast restaurant the hotel partners with was a bit average. Food choices were limited, and guests from the hotel were always seated in less desirable spots. I'd recommend bringing in more breakfast providers to offer more variety and competition.

Market Street Hotel is absolutely incredible! From the staff who are warm and welcoming, with a wealth of knowledge of the local area, to the room with the amazing shower, dressing robes and slippers, the stocked fridge and comfiest bed I have slept in, the hotel is perfect. I can’t wait to come back to Edinburgh and stay here again.

The room with a view was absolutely fantastic! You could see Calton Hill and the sea in the distance right from the room. The free croissants at the front desk were delicious. Calton Hill is just a five-minute walk away, and the views from there are breathtaking. The hotel is also only a few minutes from Edinburgh Waverley train station, and having direct lift access was so convenient and pleasant. Edinburgh is a wonderful place and definitely worth revisiting. This hotel is also worth another stay!

The room was decent, the location was great, and the bed was comfortable. However, we were assigned a first-floor room right by the entrance – I'm not sure if this was intentional – and we didn't get a wink of sleep on any of our four nights. First off, the glass door was broken and couldn't be securely locked, which meant absolutely no soundproofing. We could hear every word pedestrians said on the street. Given its central tourist location, loud pedestrians, particularly intoxicated ones, would pass by until well past midnight, making a lot of noise. Then came the constant banging of doors in the morning. Even more terrifying were the sounds of luggage being dragged and lifted (due to the building's layout, all luggage had to be carried up stairs), which sounded like an earthquake, starting as early as 5 AM. We were utterly sleep-deprived and on edge! We tried to just tough it out, but by the time we left, our entire family was completely drained.

The apartment is half an hour's drive from the city center, but there is a bus downstairs to the city center, which is quite convenient. The apartment is fully equipped, there are cooking tools, and the room is large. However, the water pressure in the toilet of the high-rise unit (5th floor) is insufficient. The unit is old and uses a water storage hot water stove. If many people take a shower, you need to wait for a while. Self check in, check out, hand in information and £100 deposit will be provided after the mailbox password lock key. Pay the deposit with credit card, the money will be returned 5 to 10 days after check out, but if you do not use the Bank of England account, you do not know that the bank will not charge a handling fee.

The service was great as soon as you entered the store! During the Chinese New Year, I also gave small gifts and cards, but the greetings on the cards were not in Chinese! The room I booked was relatively small, but it was enough for me. The heating was not enough and not bad. The heating of the room and the exhaust fan of the toilet are noisy! For some friends, the bathtub in this hotel is necessary and quite large. Toiletries are from Sudan. Breakfast is not too many, but very delicious! The surrounding attractions can be reached in about 17-20 minutes, Calton Hill is about 29 minutes, and Edinburgh Railway Station Waverley is 21 minutes.

I had a very satisfying stay. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the train station, and most of Edinburgh's other attractions are easily reachable on foot, which was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the hotel staff were very welcoming. I saw other reviews mentioning that deposit refunds take a while, but I haven't experienced that yet. I'll update my review later.

This is a very clean serviced apartment, and the bathroom is spotless. There's a cluster of halal restaurants nearby, as well as a large and excellent supermarket. The local markets are very close, and the apartments are conveniently located near the city center and the train station.

One of the absolute best hostel in Edinburgh! Incredible facilities, super clean rooms, and the most helpful staff. It’s located in the best neighborhood, just a short stroll from The Meadows. If you visit during cherry blossom season, the views are magical as the park is covered in pink petals. LOVE IT SO MUCH. Will definitely return!
