Guest UserEdinburgh 4Friends House is a wonderful accommodation with everything: location, atmosphere, and service. Located in the city center, it is conveniently located within walking distance of tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The rooms and common areas are clean, and the calming interior will soothe your travel fatigue. The owner and staff were very kind, and the sightseeing advice and warm hospitality were impressive. In addition, the kitchen facilities are well-equipped, so it is recommended for long-term stays and those who like to cook their own meals. You can sleep soundly in a quiet environment, and the affordable price makes it excellent value for money. It is a very satisfying place to stay when visiting Edinburgh!

Guest UserThis is student accommodation, so don't set your expectations too high. There are quite a few people coming and going during the summer. The breakfast is quite good, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the University of Edinburgh. The area around the summer stay isn't very convenient, and you can see the surrounding environment in the pictures. I'd like to give a shout-out to Trip.com; their service is really excellent, trustworthy, and reassuring.

The location is absolutely perfect — it’s literally right in front of the castle, and there are plenty of cafés around, so the vibes are really nice! 😍
BUT the room itself was super tiny — honestly, it felt claustrophobic. Definitely not recommended for families traveling around the UK with lots of luggage. Thankfully, the reception staff were very helpful and let us store our suitcases at the front desk because they knew the room couldn’t possibly fit all of them 🤓 I even had one of my suitcases stored in their locker, lol.
There was even one night when the AC in our room suddenly stopped working, but the staff handled it really well and helped us move to another room — no hassle at all, which we really appreciated!
One important heads-up: this hotel is not wheelchair-friendly. There’s no lift, so keep that in mind if accessibility is a concern.

This is a very interesting hotel in a converted church, the staff are very nice, friendly and attentive. Because it is a historical building, there is no way to remodel it. The rooms are still relatively large. There are collective kitchens, movie rooms, and few single rooms, so it is more convenient to wash in the public bathroom. It's still fun to feel the unique atmosphere.

We had a great stay at Sakura Guest House. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and easy to get around. The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was well-maintained. We didn’t have any issues during our stay. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and I’d happily stay here again.

I loved the location as I had access to the park for the children and to the shop. I loved that the room had enough beds for all of us (5 people). I would have appreciated if we could get plates, as we came with food. It was great the room had a microwave. There was plumbing issues that delayed our shower time. But stay was good.
