Hotels in Khaosan Road, Bangkok

For this price point, the room is excellent. Many might see that some rooms have a window or a skylight and assume there's no window in the room itself. In reality, the room doesn't have a window, but the bathroom does, along with a small door, which makes the overall ventilation really good, and the room stays very dry. Plus, the bathroom is particularly spacious. For this price, I think it's fantastic. However, one thing to be prepared for is that at night, you can hear music from the bar – it's like a disco sound, especially noticeable when you're in the bathroom. But I actually quite enjoyed it; it's an experience. When I want to sleep, no sound can bother me.

This hotel was conveniently located in the Khao San area, and my room was quiet as it faced the pool. It was colorful and cute, and unlike the chaotic vibe of Khao San, it felt clean. The breakfast was also delicious. Amenities are provided, but they aren't always restocked, and sometimes there aren't enough for everyone, so you might need to request more yourself. The breakfast had a good variety and was tasty! Having a 7-Eleven right in front was also very convenient. There are also stylish Thai restaurants and massage shops nearby, making the location incredibly convenient overall.

Pros: 1. Very close to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the pier, all within a 10-minute walk. 2. There's a swimming pool open from 8 AM to 6 PM. 3. The front desk staff speaks Chinese. 4. Breakfast is decent. 5. Rooms include a TV and a mini-fridge. 6. You can contact the front desk directly from your room phone, and they answer calls as early as 6 AM. 7. Disposable toiletries are provided. Cons: 1. The facilities are a bit old. 2. I booked a king-size bed (1.81m), but it felt more like a queen (1.5m). 3. There's a bathtub, but no disposable bath liners are provided.

The staff was genuinely very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room itself was very clean upon arrival. The shared bathroom was also clean at first, and overall the accommodation seemed well maintained. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable for us. The mini fridge in the room did not cool at all. In addition, the room next to ours was occupied by a couple with a baby, and they often left their door open. Because of this, the baby crying could be heard extremely loudly, especially at night, which made it very difficult to fall asleep. Interestingly, we could hear that other guests were watching TV loudly in the hallway, but inside our room we could barely hear any noise except for the baby crying, which was unfortunately very disruptive. Another unpleasant issue was that diapers were disposed of in the shared bathroom. The smell became very strong and lingered for several hours, and there were also many flies in that bathroom because of it. Thankfully, it was possible to go one floor higher and use the shower and toilet there instead. The location depends a lot on personal preference. We are not party people, and the area had a very strong party atmosphere, which we did not expect. Because of that, it is difficult for me to judge the location fairly. I think for people visiting Bangkok mainly for nightlife and partying, the location could actually be very good. However, it is still relatively far from the city center, although it is possible to walk there. Overall, the biggest positive point was definitely the staff — they were truly kind and made a real effort to help guests feel welcome.

High floors offer views of the Grand Palace and it's also very close to Chinatown. Getting a Bolt taxi was super convenient. Even though it's near Khao San Road night market, it wasn't too noisy. I recommend getting a high-floor room; my first night in 503 was really quiet. On my second night, room 202 had a bit of motor bike noise. Overall, it's great value for money. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street and the nearby laundromat is very affordable.

This is a great location in the Old Town very easy to walk to the river, and canals, where you could get river boats , avoiding the traffic. it's also close to a lot of the historical attractions. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful.

I had a pleasant stay at Khaosan Palace and would happily recommend it, especially if you want to stay right in the heart of Khaosan Road. The room was spacious enough, comfortable, and cleaned daily. The hot and cold shower worked well, and having an elevator was a big plus. There is also a pool, which was great for cooling down after a long day out. Location-wise, it is not close to the BTS or MRT, but it is very near Phra Arthit Pier, which makes getting around the city easier. The boat is a convenient alternative for exploring temples, riverside areas, and even getting closer to malls, especially if you want to avoid traffic. If you arrive early, the hotel has a storage room where you can leave your luggage until check-in time. The same option is available after check-out, which was very convenient. If you arrive at night, you may need to walk a bit since Khaosan Road is closed to vehicles. During the day and until after noon, taxis or Bolt can usually get close to the hotel. Many reviews mention noise because it is in a party area, and yes, the parties can go on until 4am or even 6am sometimes. That said, I was surprised that it was not that loud in my room. I could hear some sound, but it was very faint, and the hotel even provides earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a good stay with solid amenities and a great location if you plan to explore Khaosan and nearby areas.

We stayed here with friends during our Bangkok trip and overall it was a good experience, especially because of the location. Khao San Road is basically next door, the Grand Palace is around 1 km away, and even Yaowarat/Chinatown is only around 2 km, so it was very easy to move around the city. One thing I appreciated is that we arrived early and the staff still allowed us to use the rooftop pool before the room was ready, which was really nice after traveling. The room itself was normal and clean, and the hotel has good facilities. The only issue for me was the humidity smell inside the room, something I actually noticed in several hotels in Thailand. Also, when you leave the room and remove the key card, the air conditioning stops working, so after even one hour outside the room becomes very hot and humid again. But overall, for the price and the location, I think it’s a good option if you want to stay near the main attractions and enjoy Bangkok with friends.

Spending time there during Songkran festival, this hotel is prime location. Everything is perfect. The staff was nice and room was spacious but only thing about amenities is like there were just 1 2in1 shower gel bottle. And nothing else provided .😂😂

Nice hotel in a good location on the popular side street to Khaosan Road. I had a very good stay here. Room was clean with aircon. There is also an elevator, the lobby is down the hallway and is a nice decor in it.
