AAnonymous UserThis was my second time booking an all-female dorm, and it was very clean and comfortable. However, that's just the nature of hostels – your experience isn't just about the facilities and service, but also largely depends on your roommates. Unfortunately, on the night of May 4, 2016, in the female dorm, some girls were playing short videos on their phones without headphones. Then, two other Chinese girls excitedly chatted loudly in Mandarin until 11:30 PM. They then proceeded to shower and blow-dry their hair until past midnight. You could hear their showering, chatting, loud laughter, and hair-drying from floors above and below at that late hour. It was truly embarrassing. They clearly have no regard for public etiquette. As a Chinese girl myself, I felt incredibly ashamed and embarrassed by their behavior. In the future, I'll remember to choose hostels that are less frequented by Chinese travelers. It's a real shame.

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

GGuest UserThe hostel is very modern and generally clean. The staff are very accommodating. The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

11WanderAwayI recently enjoyed another delightful stay at Yakthai Poshtel, marking my fourth visit to this charming establishment. I checked in at 1:30am and was warmly greeted by Wishai, the evening front desk staff member, who made the late check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The front daytime desk staff, Pan and the newly hired Beau, were exceptionally friendly and helpful during my check-out, leaving a positive lasting impression. Peiw, the housekeeper, ensured that everything was immaculately clean, maintaining the high standards I’ve come to expect here. The poshtel offers private rooms with shared toilets and showers, and the added comfort of being able to control your own air conditioning made my stay even more enjoyable. Yakthai Poshtel also features a small, cozy café downstairs where you can buy coffees and teas, and that serves a simple free breakfast for guests. I appreciated the convenience of having souvenirs available for purchase and the unique option to rent traditional Thai costumes for events or memorable photos. The poshtel's location is ideal, situated in a quiet area directly across from the stunning Wat Ratchabophit temple. Each stay reaffirms my decision to keep returning, as the friendly and helpful staff truly make Yakthai Poshtel feel like a home away from home.

RRyzhestI have very mixed feelings about this hotel. Pros: Excellent location - just a 20-minute walk to the city center, which saved a lot on transportation costs. The room itself was quite spacious, bright, and well-maintained, and the bathroom was very stylish. The staff were polite, and they provided 3 bottles of water and 2 packets of coffee (Nescafe sticks) every day. Housekeeping was scheduled every 3 days, but I put out the 'please clean' sign every 2 days, and they always cleaned without any issues. Now for the cons: The hotel is not located where it's listed in the Trip.com description. I was sent a completely different address, and I even had to contact Trip.com support to figure out where to go. The hotel never responded to them. They communicate via WhatsApp, but replies take an hour or two. The building next door is an active mosque. Every morning at 5:15 AM, there's very loud singing. EVERY morning, even on New Year's Day and weekends. They sing during the day too, but that's not as critical. Hordes of tiny ants. They were literally everywhere – on the floor, on the bed, and now even in my laptop. I hope they didn't travel with me in my suitcase. All the trash attracted even more ants, so I stored all my rubbish in the fridge and only took the bags out when housekeeping came. The entrance is through a cafe. Sometimes I literally had to squeeze my way through crowded tables. There's no sign or any identifying markers. I often found lost guests who couldn't find the entrance.

SSharon MyBWe stayed at J Two S Pratunam as a couple and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering good value for money. The location is very convenient—close to Pratunam Market, shopping areas, and public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A nice, affordable choice for couples looking for a comfortable stay in the heart of Bangkok.

AAnonymous UserGood value for the price. The room was simple but clean and everything worked as expected. WiFi was fast and reliable throughout the stay, which made a big difference. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor that’s convenient and serves decent food, especially after a long day out. Location near Khao San Road is great if you want to be close to everything. a solid option for the budget with no major issues.

GGuest UserOverall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)
