Hotel near Silom/Sathorn,Bangkok
Discover all that Bang Rak has to offer during your stay at Togayther Hostel Black.

"First off, to all the 'princes and princesses' leaving negative reviews: this is a hostel that costs mere tens of yuan a night. Don't compare it to the five-star hotels you usually stay in, where you expect top-notch service and facilities. Why don't you dare give those five-star places a bad review when they don't even have a bathtub for you to splash around in? If there are reasonable shortcomings, mention them so the owner can gradually improve. Don't just casually leave a bad review. This second location is actually pretty good. You can chill every day. The beds are clean, and that's what matters. Also, be aware that some people with sticky fingers might stay here, so keep an eye on your belongings. You can't blame the hostel for that."

Conveniences include blackout drapes/curtains, and housekeeping is provided daily.

"I booked this place for a concert, and it's super close to Supachalasai Stadium, just a few minutes' walk away. It's easy to find, located on the second floor of a corner building, with a 7-Eleven right at the entrance and some cool shops nearby. The bed area is quite spacious. You need to insert the key card into the slot by the bed for the electricity to work, and it turns off when you remove it. The light switch is next to the mirror. The service was good; the staff spoke English. The only minor downside is that the shower and toilet areas don't have air conditioning, so it can get a bit warm, but it's manageable. Overall, it's pretty good, and perfectly fine for female travelers."

AAnonymous UserThis was my second time booking an all-female dorm, and it was very clean and comfortable. However, that's just the nature of hostels – your experience isn't just about the facilities and service, but also largely depends on your roommates. Unfortunately, on the night of May 4, 2016, in the female dorm, some girls were playing short videos on their phones without headphones. Then, two other Chinese girls excitedly chatted loudly in Mandarin until 11:30 PM. They then proceeded to shower and blow-dry their hair until past midnight. You could hear their showering, chatting, loud laughter, and hair-drying from floors above and below at that late hour. It was truly embarrassing. They clearly have no regard for public etiquette. As a Chinese girl myself, I felt incredibly ashamed and embarrassed by their behavior. In the future, I'll remember to choose hostels that are less frequented by Chinese travelers. It's a real shame.

GGuest UserThe location is across from Huiguang, and I felt quite removed from the hustle and bustle. Being tucked away in an alley seemed to offer more tranquility. Walking out every day on a street lined with yellow flowers really brightened my mood. I stayed in a female-only dorm, and it was a bit odd that there were so many Thai people staying there. The common areas were always quiet. Everyone came down for breakfast promptly every morning. You had to cook your own eggs, which was actually quite fun (it's a self-service buffet, and you're expected to clean up after yourself. You can even bring your own cutlery for the experience!). On weekends, the hotel even organized gatherings like BBQs and karaoke, and everyone was incredibly friendly.

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

GGuest UserThe hostel is very modern and generally clean. The staff are very accommodating. The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

GGuest UserThe Wi-Fi is working poorly. Also, for about a week there has been no hand soap in the toilet. The shampoo, hair conditioner, and body wash appear to be the same diluted product. In the mornings it is sometimes very noisy due to loud conversations and arguments between staff members.

GGuest UserIt's about a 10-minute walk to the nearest BTS station. The hygiene is decent, though the restroom wasn't sparkling clean. The main draw is the very affordable price, and the AC works well. There's a lobby area where you can eat, play games, and chat. A 7-Eleven right downstairs is super convenient for grabbing essentials. It's about 1 km from the famous Milk Boy street and Chulalongkorn University's popular street. It's also not far from the Siam shopping district and the famous Bangkok skywalk. This place is perfect for budget travelers and solo adventurers. Overall, for a three-day stay, the value for money was quite good.

RRovaheMerry V Guesthouse is located in the 'extension' street of Khao San Road. Good location. It's very, very basic. Just a small room with a bed. The bed is hard and the pillow was very hard. When I requested at the reception to provide me a softer pillow, it was refused. In the room there are many big open windows (there is no glass, just mosquito gaze) on the upper part, which are not covered by curtains (see photo) and light/might disturb you. The Thai ******* in the next room was inconsiderate and unrespectful. Talking as lot and music from mobile. It's not the hotel's fault, because the put signs everywhere 'don't make noise, others are sleeping'. But it was overall OK. A private room for a small amount of money. Thanks! 🙏

GGuest UserOverall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)

GGuest UserI stayed for one night because of its relative proximity to the direct line to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Pros: - Clean, no mold. - Fresh, clean bedding. - Breakfast included (though breakfast starts at 8 AM, and I had to leave at 7 AM, so I missed it). - Price (780 rubles for a spacious triple room). - Excellent air conditioning. Often in such hostels, the AC barely blows, and it's programmed to one temperature. Here, everything was fine. - The room had great blackout curtains, a large floor-to-ceiling window, and a balcony. - The reception sells drinking water for 10 baht for 1.5L. Convenient. Cons: - Location (not very easy to find, and Google Maps is useless, unlike Yandex). - The balcony door lock was broken and couldn't be secured. - Shower stalls with doors that open INWARD! I (a man weighing 90 kg and 185 cm tall, without a belly) simply couldn't fit into one of them! So, if you're on the heavier side, you might not even be able to get in. - In the morning, there was no water on the second floor! If one person is showering, the water pressure in the others will be non-existent. I went to the third floor – everything was fine there. The pressure was like a waterfall, and the heaters were working (they weren't working on the second floor where I stayed). - 500 baht deposit. A bit much for this type of guesthouse; they usually ask for 200-300. So, decide for yourself, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a triple room for this price elsewhere.
