Barcelona is a beautiful city, but the Holiday Inn Express experience we had was terrible. I'm giving 2 stars only for the location which was near to the 'Llacuna' metro station. Otherwise, it only deserves 1 star. We went there in April 2022, and the weather was hot. Before finalizing the booking, we saw that the hotel had mentioned 'air conditioning' in the amenities. Only after seeing that did we finalize the booking and paid for it. But after reaching there, we discovered that the hotel room was hot and suffocating. We were told that the air conditions of the entire building offer either hot air or cold air, but at one time! So, there's no way to switch a 'room's' particular air conditioning, which was insane. We thought opening the windows would solve the issue, but hell no. The noise from the road didn't let us sleep for even one night, out of the three nights we were there at. We asked for some sort of compensation, but the managers only offered us two free drinks at the bar. Is that some kind of a joke? We said nothing more, and only stayed outside in the city for most of the time, as staying in the hotel was the 'last thing' we were looking forward to. Even the breakfast was substandard compared to what we have had at other hotels in Europe in the past. This was an eye-opening experience for us, as we vowed we would never book a holiday inn, inside Europe now! There are much better hotel chains, offering more amenities at similar prices. We got duped by the brand name. Not anymore!

Four Points was a comfortable, accommodating hotel with excellent food service and a great location. It sits where the Rambla a del Poblenou meets Avenue Diagonal. The Rambla is a delightful 10 block boulevard with limited traffic that leads to the sea. It’s full of shops and restaurants and strolling locals of all ages. Walking south from the hotel along Avenue Diagonal, one finds a huge shopping center with a large food court. The hotel was convenient and close to transportation.

Rooms are clean, spacious and highly functional. Very warm services ( especially thankful to Christian) to warn our elder members on pickpocket and gave a loan kettle). Highly recommended. We will be back.

I came across this apartment complex on a popular booking website. I usually like to book direct if I can so I booked the trip on the Lugaris website...BIG MISTAKE. On arrival when paying the final balance I questioned the amount they requested to pay and it became apparent that there were 2 rooms booked in our name, I had only booked one. The staff member said that this ”sometimes happens” on their system and we needed to pay the outstanding balance including the first night on the second room and they would speak to the manager the next day to see if we could get our money back. I felt uncomfortable about this but after a journey with our family we were left with no option but to pay or lose what we had paid so far and somehow find alternative accommodation. We returned the next day as requested but they had not spoken to the manager and told to come back the next day... you can guess where this is going and even though we returned every day and they said they would get back to us in the end...nothing. No response no refund. Felt totally robbed especially as this is obviously not the first time this has happened and there is an issue with their web bookings. It hung over our heads the entire holiday and felt disappointed I had chosen to book through them. On the positive side the apartment itself was a great size, plenty of space and we lucked out with a sea view, The location is good being close to a quiet part of the beach, plenty of shops and restaurants in the local area that were all very welcoming. 10 minute walk to the metro for getting into the centre and we also walked along the sea front to the centre on two occasions...about a 40 minute walk with our children aged 6, 9 & 13. Overall would definitely choose to stay in this area again just not this apartment. If you must book this apartment I'd advise using a 3rd party booking site rather that risking using the Lugaris site and being overcharged.

The room was clean. Good location, seven or eight hundred meters from the beach, about two kilometers from the Sagrada Familia, and about two kilometers from the sailing pier (the casino is here, the tourist gathering place), one kilometer past is the passenger terminal, and another one or two kilometers past is Monte Hui Qishan. Barcelona is the largest city in Spain. Although the population is only 1.6 million, in this big city, it is impossible to choose a hotel not far away. I especially like the streets of Barcelona, leaving two lanes on both sides, with a wide open space in the middle, and nearby shops setting up tables and drinking at night. Probably because of its large area and small population, it is so suitable for living.

Excellent 2 day stay at Best 4 Barcelona. Great service, good value and great breakfasts. Thank you. Only thing - the shower floors are very, very slippery and dangerous - needs attention.
