The beds are huge and comfortable, the location is great. You are right next to the underground which is very convienent. Also the staff are absolutely wonderful. We spent a lot of evenings on the roof and Ankush was such a great guy. Great to have a small chat with and always made sure our needs were met!

The location was excellent and I felt very safe when out for a run in the early morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the hotel breakfast and it was perfectly acceptable -- nothing spectacular but no problems either. The shower in particular was a problem in that it drained poorly, was very slippery when wet (see: drained poorly), and caused a lot of flooding on the floor of the main bathroom, which increased the slippery danger. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated the staff leaving an extra pillow in the armoire if we wanted it.

This was one of the best choices i did during all my trips to the city. The staff are extremely attentive and well manered, and the housekeeping staff are doing a great job as well, it might be something to keep everything the tidiest while al the guests are walking, going and coming around, impressive! Checking in was good and we thought we were in for a great stay. After that it was sadly downhill all the way. Rooms ok but basic, and upgrading to a Suite is definitely not worth the extra money. Take earplugs as the noise from the roads, restaurants, bin emptying etc is constant. The bar was not opened for our whole stay, and the staff were very dismissive when we questioned why it was not available. One receptionist just shrugged his shoulders and looked back down to his paperwork. After check in they barely acknowledged us as we came and went. No air conditioning in the rooms so we had to leave windows wide open at night - cannot imagine what it would be like in summer. No tea and coffee making facility in the room. No outside space to use unless you go down the road to the sister hotel. Basically confined to your room, and you had to go out to find all your food and drink as there was no Room Service on offer either.

I visited as part of a hen party and we stayed for 3 nights. We were spread around the hotel which was not an issue. Rooms were a mix of two bed and three bed. Rooms were good sized with comfortable beds. Location was good and we were able to get to our choice of venues easily by either booking a taxi or flagging one down. We were a bit disappointed that reception staff were unable to help with booking taxis but it was easy enough to do ourselves. One negative was that there was a bag of rubbish in my room when I arrived. It was obviously from the emptying of the bins and the cleaner had forgotten to take it out but it contained food and was on the sofa so not good to be met with. I did not eat in this hotel. There are eating places and shops nearby and vending machines in the foyer for that late night snack. I would stay in this hotel again.

I am a solo female traveler, came to stay in this hostel for 4 nights. This was my first experience staying in a hostel and it went definitely amazing thanks to Factory Hostel and it’s amazing stuff. Everyone working here is so friendly, they always smile and help you in the best possible way (Special thanks to Maria Laura). All receptionists are fluent in Spanish and English. They all have been truly lovely. They do cleaning everyday, they serve delicious cake and coffee around 2 EUR. People that stay here is also nice and friendly, you can have good friendships if you would like to. Beds and pillows are pretty comfortable, curtains give you a little privacy which is nice, they give you considerably big cabinet to lock your belongings, air conditioning working 7/24, they have a cute kitchen and lounge areas to enjoy the stay. It is very close to Park Güell, a little far from beach and center but there is always public transportation that you can use, takes about 30-45 mins to go wherever you want (including walking to stops). I would %100 recommend and if I ever come back to Barcelona would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in this hotel for one night prior to returning home. It was the third hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Spain. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The area was great with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. My only suggestions for improvements would be to have more than one english television channel. It was our last night and we were tired out so we would have liked to watch something besides BBC news. There was also quite a wait for an elevator.

This is the hotel to stay for access to Fira Grand Via. Right across the road from the venue, it’s clean, modern, specious rooms and decent food. The bar staff, singular do their best alone. However, when it’s busy, you wait. Now, I know it’s Barcelona, the Oliver Twist level of pick pockets and thieves. But a rucksack with £4000+ of tech was stolen from under our noses. Highly professional, well organised robbery. In the busy lobby during check-out. Staff weren’t overly concerned. You’ve been warned. Thanks. D

Este hotel está ubicado a tres cuadras de la estación de metro que en 20 minutos te deja en el centro. El señor que se encontraba en recepción a la noche nos indicó cómo ir sin necesidad de sacar el auto del estacionamiento, ya que es un incordio conseguir lugar para estacionar y los valores son altos. El hotel posee parking a la vuelta con un costo de 10€ diarios. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, cómodas, tanto el colchón como las almohadas. Disponen de caja de seguridad. Las instalaciones se ven limpias. Las personas de recepción son correctos. El único inconveniente que tuvimos es que pedimos si nos guardaban unas bebidas en la heladera del hotel porque la habitación no dispone de frigobar y nos dijeron que no lo tienen permitido. GGuest UserWe loved our stay at the Hesperia Presidente, very good area to be based for exploring by foot or by public transport. Around fifteen minutes walk to Passeig de Gracia or similar in the other direction along Diagonal to a lovely shopping centre. The staff really go out of their way to assist and were always very friendly and informative. We were in a Junior Suite for three adults, which had a dividing door for privacy - it was initially only set up for two but this was very quickly remedied. The room was quite large, with a great bathroom/fabulous power shower! The hotel has a lovely seating area in reception which was very welcome whilst waiting for our transfer in the evening (they kept our luggage after check out with no issues at all). The area is very busy being on Diagonal but I would feel very safe travelling on my own here - lots of restaurants, bars nearby

The location is a 15-minute walk from the Avenue of Thanksgiving and a 15-20 minute walk from Casa Batllo and Casa Mira. There is a relatively large convenience store next to the door, and there are many coffee shops nearby about 5 minutes' walk, and you can go to breakfast in the morning.

GGuest UserThis hotel should be a 1-2 star at most. The reception is the nicest part, our room had stains all over the bed and curtains. Filth underneath the bed, the spa was €19 pp for an hour and a half when it should be included in price, breakfast had little to no options and the bread was stale and rock solid. They offer 1 restaurant that again has little to no choice of selection. Literally salad with no seasoning or sauce, burger and fish. We went to a restaurant a 25 minute taxi drive away and it was gorgeous. Insanely over priced, the pictures of the pool upstairs on the roof are deceiving, a lot smaller than the pictures. Waited 3 and a half hours to be checked in, we had to keep going up to the desk to ask if our room was ready and even though we were sitting right beside the desk they failed to inform us that our room was ready, we only realised when they checked in others that it could be ready. No security at all in this place or CCTV camera either and I’ve read reviews from their website on Google and seen this issue and how peoples belongings were stolen most likely by cleaning staff and nothing was done. When we were there, there was a group of kids smoking **** walking around the hotel and it filled up the whole hall. I would seriously steer far away from this place as a couple let alone as a solo traveller or a family with children. It’s a dangerous location. The only positive thing is it’s within walking distance of camp nou. Rooms are absolutely tiny too and definitely not of standard of a 4* hotel, again more like a 2* at most. I would not recommend staying here and will not come back, I feel sorry for anyone who has stayed here with children as it’s no place for children and nothing close by except for the football stadium which is extremely even more over priced and jam packed. As far as I’m aware, the spa does not offer massages.

GGuest UserI've stayed with this hotel for a number of times now, I would think about 7 times also before covid. The company I work for has also sent quite a few others to this hotel over the years. After this last visit I can say that it will probably not be the case anymore. To be honest, I felt like I was annoying the staff at the reception, it was always with a quick, condescending way that I was given answers. Like I was getting on their nerves. I paid almost 1.100 Euro to stay 1 week. In that time, the phone was broke, my door would not shut properly without slamming it, the room STANK !!! of sewage (I was told because of the pool filter or something and I was directly next to the pool basically in room 721 - the cleaning lady spoke no english so that's the info I understood), the breakfast was not to great standards; never was there bacon, the boiled eggs cold. The coffee machine broke, so the waitress was so angry that she was slamming chairs and saying angry stuff in spanish loudly about how management never takes care of the machine; she dropped all kinds of glasses and plates in the kitchen; then the cook came out and looked at me and rolled his eyes and shrugged (how do people in service actually work like this???) . It was unrelaxing and not worth the price at all. The only helpful and sincere person I met there was the girl at the reception who always asked how my day was, and also the room cleaning lady (the elder one with glasses). I was not even offered ANYTHING in response to having to sleep in a stinking room with no phone. I thought maybe someone would say to me ”sorry about all the inconvenience, have a wine on us” but not even that!! Only the next day I was asked if I wanted to move (I declined only because I was traveling to Valencia for 3 days on that day and I was told that afterwards it would be fixed so I didn't want to move if it would be fixed. But when I came back, only the phone was fixed - the smell was still there and the door I still had to slam). Also, my credit card was charged for a night on the first day of my stay, even tho my company pre-paid the whole stay in advance and it was confirmed. I had to wait several days before it was booked back to my account. At the checkout I was not asked once how my stay was. I would have otherwise told the guy there directly. But maybe he knew I would say something and chose not to ask anything. He was the most condescending of them all anyway. He never freely said Hello or Good bye. Only interested in himself. Horrible person and not sure how he can work in service! When he reads this he will know who I am, for sure. I did not have a welcoming or pleasant stay there this time and next time I and my company will choose another hotel for this or any other stays. If you feel too secure and think you have enough guests, then think again. Covid isn't gone and one day you will be surprised how quickly guests can leave and go somewhere else. YYISHUBecause I booked the hotel and hoped to see more information I wanted to know in the evaluation, I would like to tell everyone about my experience, I hope it will help. First, the location of the hotel is not far from Passeig de Gràcia, about 10 minutes walk. There is a diagonal subway station nearby, about 7-8 minutes walk, no 12-13 minutes to the Gracia Metro Station, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera are nearby, completely walkable, and then walk for a while To the Plaza Catalunya, Inglis is on the side of the square, the airport bus, the city tour bus are on the square, so the hotel location is good. The second is that the hotel is a star hotel, facilities and services are good, clean and tidy, I feel that my choice is good, it is recommended. Thirdly, the hotel has a breakfast room 50 meters away from the hotel. The bread and coffee are cheap and good. The hotel is 150 meters away and there is a very popular Catalan restaurant. It is long queued every day. It is only three days before we turn. A meal, tastes good, and the price is not expensive.

GGuest UserAvoid this hotel, This hotel has lot of problems specially for geust that are planning to stay longer than 3 dyas. Please read it till the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all the problems started before whe arrived with this hotel. Whe booked suite with an early checkin and sended an email with the question from wich time whe can checkin while whe booked an early checkin. Whe got an email back from manuela wich she didnt chekced my booking at all even i sended their my booking nr. She reply’s that early checkin is upon availability. After sending a mail back she says sorry about the misunderstanding because i have already booked the early checking, she just didnt checked my personal details before sending a email back. The next few days i sended a email again about taxi’s etc….and mosts email wont get answered. The days whe arrived in our suite. Huge leaking in the shower. Molt is growing on the wet carpet. Whe have reported this at least 4/5 times and only 2 times they taken action, ask this to the housekeepers and even they told me that they reported it many times. Whe are just suprised that they told us that the hotel staff isnt listen to them!. They just ingnore it in most cases. Guesst are not always able to use the swimming pool while you payed for the hotel as a guest becasue companies have to constantly rent the pool so that guests can't use it, especially in the evenings. We also noticed that noise from the roof daily. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof with music which is no problem at all, only the music is on so loud that you can hear it in the rooms. almost every day there is a party going on on the roof. very bad for the people who want to get up early the next morning or have to go to work so that their sleep is disturbed by this. Keycards in the lift/elevator are not workin gprperly. When you insert the card to go up it wont work. It turns out lot of guests having this issue. I contact the front office in regards to the lunch for 21 september because whe needed to check out at 07:00 and wont make it with the breakfast so asked them what their options are. as if it couldn’t be whorse. 1 male young employee who says on the front office at 19 september at 06:30- in the morning ”oooh no problem” i need to check with reservation departement you are a premium member , booked via our website, I can arrange for you to give you a refund for that day and having a take away breakfast isnt worth the money (in a verry rude and innoproriate way), seriously ? this is the way how you talk to your hotel guest ? the take away isnt worht it ??, asked for a confirmation email , he promised me to contact the reservation department and promise contact me to contact me at the end of the day but as expected nothing heard. End of the day i contacted the front office again and ofcourse i spoken to manueala, manuela told me its not possible to get a rufund wich is totally fine but how she know that ? without contacting reservation depa

GGuest UserThis is a solid three-star hotel once you get inside. The location is perfect, right on La Rambla, close to the squares and near the cruise port. The entry is a little hard to find and sketchy to say the least. There are three hotels that occupy the building. This hotel has three of the floors. You have to go up to the first floor to get to the lobby. They have a great security system and the interior of the hotel, while dated is nice ad clean. The staff is great especially the you man that helps with the luggage. He was working very hard every time I saw him. The rooms were clean and large, and the bathrooms and showers were great. Actually, the room were very large by most European standards. Our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave as well as a small balcony that overlooked La Rambla. A great location for people watching. The breakfast was substantial, and the 24-hour free beer, wine and snacks were also great. The snacks were really meals. Salads, pasta, bread etc. Lots of room to eat, including a large outside area. The price for what they offer is very reasonable and I would consider a repeat visit.

GGuest UserStayed here at the end of August for 5 nights. Hotel is in a brilliant location. 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia also a 2 minute walk from the hop on hop off buses around the city. The staff on reception were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I left my Apple Watch in the hotel and only realised when I had got through security at the airport. I rang the hotel and they found my watch in the room and helped me return it to myself which I am very grateful for. The room was cleaned every day while we were out. For the cost of the hotel, the location, cleanliness and hospitality was top notch. If I ever visit Barcelona again I would be sure to stop here any time.

KKathia ZunigaThe hostel is located in a wonderful area, all central, the bad is the very small room without window that from the view and the very bad ventilation we didn't know if it was day or night, except for the clear watch, And if we would like to come back but this time they give us a suitable room, another pick is the woman of the brun cleaning, not stop giving slips.

“Ideal” in name, but NOT in reality. We spent four nights there, in three different rooms, because the hostel was so ridiculously overbooked. We kept finding ourselves locked out of our room, only to hear from the INCREDIBLY unhelpful and unsympathetic staff that our booking did not exist. We were moved from our all female dorm to a mixed dorm without being informed, and it took us asking to clarify that our dorm was female for them to tell us it was not. We had originally booked an all female dorm, and felt uncomfortable in the mixed, so we were moved yet again. Beyond all of these booking confusions, the Ideal Youth Hostel is not ideal for meeting other youths. First of all, the median age of folks in the hostel was at LEAST 45. The hostel also does not organize any group meetings or excursions, and the common areas are dark, grimy, empty, and unpleasant. While there is a kitchen, it is locked all the time, and you practically have to fight with the receptionists to get a fork. The hostel IS well located for exploring the city, but I’d take a few extra minutes of walking or a metro stop or two over staying in the massively touristy Ramblas anyways. Whatever you do, don’t spend your money on this hostel.
